The snow storm has mandated that I stay in the Philadelphia area for another few days, enjoying my best friend's hospitality, a case of Yuengling, and a mountain of goodies we purchased at Reading Terminal Market prior to the storm. So to pass some time and amuse myself, and hopefully you all as well, I'm starting a group Christmas carol. It's "The Twelve Days of BC", and I'm sure you all know how it goes. Join in if you're feeling creative and enjoy a little gallows humor. I'll get us started...

On the first day of BC, my doctor gave to me...a bilateral mastectomy.

You guys take it from here!

If anyone saw the video of the hospital crew with the pink gloves, I think they could do a great job with something like this.   I can hardly carry a tune in a basket, but I do love music and poems.

I remember eating in the "Diner" inside the terminal market.  The market is a fun place and oh sooooooooooo  fattening :)

The snow was great! It was about 2ft deep in Medford Lakes. I walked and played in it Saturday and Sunday. Felt like I was in an L.L. Bean commercial or a Currier & Ives postcard...cabins with Christmas lights, colorful birds and deer in the yard.

Kim - Reading Terminal is one of my favorite places to go! I like to just sit in there and smell all the luscious smells and talk to the shopkeepers. Lots of holiday hustle and bustle. Lots of good energy! (And good eats!)

Celtic, thanks for this thread.   I have never been to Philly, but was born in Pittsburgh - you know, home of the Steelers...    And I sold our house after 36 years in a suburb of Pittsburgh and moved to Virginia 3 years ago.   This is one of the worst snow storms ever here, but not that big a deal for me.   Someone fooled these people into thinking that snow is not common in winter.
