I'm not sure about foods....for awhile, soy was a no-no, but now I'm hearing that soy is good. I know to be careful of supplements that are phyto-estrogens....brain isn't working right now to think of the names....My onc said that I could eat small amounts of soy, so I never totally gave it up....I pretty much eat what I want, but overall my diet is healthy.

I avoid milk, yogurt, that is not organic like the plague--cows are given hormones to boost milk production which are similar to our er, pr. I avoid heavily sprayed soft fruit like strawberries and grapes which absorb pesticides like a sponge.(Certain petroleum based pesticides have an estrogen-like effect.) Organic strawberries are hard to get--I get a lot of organic food at my coop. I try to avoid non-organic chicken, again, they are given a lot of hormones to grow fast and produce a lot of breast meat.Don't eat beef at all. Try to eat a lot of fish but keep track of the mercury in certain fish by rotating.Instead of beef I eat beans and rice, which in combination are a complete protein. Try to get eggs from a local farm, again the store bought variety can be loaded with hormones.
So basically my eating strategy is to avoid hormones and avoid pesticides. I do eat soy and drink soy milk.

I have read all the soy literature I could find, and am not convinced it is safe for me. I avoid soy, but since it's in everything, as long as it is low on the ingredient list I don't worry about it. I just don't eat edameme or tofu or other obvious sources..I too avoid non-organic dairy, and buy meat/chicken that is free of added hormones/antibiotics. Also I eat all organic produce and avoid sugar and anything too fatty.
All this being said, if I can do all this 95% of the time I think that is enough.

Thank you, ladies. I'm glad to know that I'm doing a lot of what you are already doing. For example, I eat organic dairy products only. When I eat chicken I make sure it's organic. I could probably do better with fruits and avoiding ones that are sprayed with pesticides but I don't eat strawberries very much anyway. I don't like soy so I don't eat/drink it. If you can think of anything else, please share with me. Sometimes I think there might be something I'm missing.

I'm also avoiding canned food now - there was a recent story in Consumer Reports about high levels of BPA in canned food, because it leaches from the plastic that lines the cans. BPA was originally developed as an ESTROGEN SUBSTITUTE! Then it began to be used in plastics. It's used in all cans, including soda cans. I look for pouches, glass jars or aseptic box packaging now instead, because they don't use BPA.
