I actually work in an office just off the retail floor so my sales are sitting down at my desk thank goodness! The store is 130,000 sq ft so walking it, which I sometimes have to do, can be very taxing on my bones.

Barbe, Good for you! (re walking)

Sales floors always seem to be so rediculously hard, with no give for the "pumps" we seem to have to wear. Coudn't do it now, my bones and joints coudn't take it! Still despite a few totally dud days due to "i hope" after flue remnent S.Is, have been plugging along at the gym, determined to make some progress with my strengh this year, no matter what.

Now if I could get this focussed on the 40/50 pounds I should loose also! he he...(well not sooo he he when you know it is one of the main things one should do with triple neg bc!). Still, I cannot do it all, so this year, for me, it is the fitness improvement.

Hope you don't work right up until Thursday.

My sister is having a "heck of a year" and a excisional biopsy in January, so hoping and praying for B9 and then a better year for her. She's been really had a too much grief this year, bless her.

Nighty night all lovely "bunnies of the dust" oh and my house.. the dust.. deary me!!!!! this last few weeks I have not been able to keep on top of the housework, "dear Santa, pls send me a magic cleaning fairy wand!"

Welcome to our new bunnies and welcome to our old ones.

Barbe that sounds like quite a week. Take good care of yourself in the midst of all the work.

We've had just enough snow to see it on the grass -- not enough to stick to pavement.

So we've been out on our movie date.....

Certainly no housework here. Unless you count laundry. LOL.

Well I cleaned a house today. It just wasn't my house. It was my DD. I had to be there at 7:30 a.m. As usual my dog or I should say my DD dog that I got stuck with when she moved out of the house never lets me sleep. It is old. I babysat my two GK's. When is almost 7 and the other is 3. The 3 year old is Autistic and he is just starting to talk. They both make me laugh. All he wants to do is drink stuff. So now I am to tired to clean my own house. Her house already looked clean to me but she is a clean freak. I was going to say I don't know where she gets it but she gets it from my mom. Not me. Her dad was a clean freak also but he never did the cleaning. Her room was spotless as a kid She always kept the house clean for me when she was little. My son is cleaning right now. I can hear him. But he is the one who made the mess along with his puppy. So maybe tomorrow I will try to get my room done. Or not. I am really tired. So going to go rest. I am taking care of both dogs tonight. If you have ever seen Marley and me. That is what his puppy reminds me of. He said his puppy isn't that bad but it comes a close second. She is a Springer Spaniel. Born on my birthday. August 1. The trainer keeps canceling so even the Training seemed like the movie. I haven't finished watching it so I am going to go finish it. I was going to go take her down to the beach for a walk until I saw the part at the beach. Plus she hates to go for car rides. We used to live a block from the beach but now I live 5 minutes by car. Divorce is fun. But more fun than Marriage. At least you don't have to clean if you don't want to.

    Hi Bunnies,

Had a early Christmas breakfast with my cousin, his wife and kids today.

Wasn't that keen on going as they were in a group of relations that made no contact with me at any time since my diagnosis in Feb 09.  Anyway , my cousins wife nursed her mother in her home and was there when she died if cancer.  Until today I didn't know that her mum died of bc.She said that she debated and discussed with her husband for a long time whether to contact me and decided it would be better not to as she had nothing positive to give me at this time.

I feel like we have made a greater connection and understanding , and have found someone who I can talk to face to face when the going gets tough. And works on my time frame....You guys are great but the time difference is a bummer sometimes as you are asleep when I have my crisis.  She has the a strong history on her side of BC so the chances for her are not good.   At least she will have me.

Big hugs to all especially to the ones in pain or need.

Love you guys....you are my life line and I am very grateful that I found you.

Barbe - does Canada have a lottery?  If they do, I hope you win it soon and not have to work!  That does sound like a killer week -  sigh.  Support and love are just a keystroke away.

Vivvy - I, too, am sorry you feel alone (HUGS).  It is a hellva way to connect to extended family (having cancer) but I am glad you found your cousin's wife's mother - did I get that right?

Cindy - you did housework?  And in someone elses' house?  This may have to go on your "permanent record." SmileSealed

Kathi - trust me, stock up on food.  We thought we would only get a few inches and did not to any grocery shopping - a few inches - 16-18 few inches.  Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And yes, you have done enough - rest and go spoil yourself.

Sharon - I LOL over that cat picture.  That is exactly why you use dust ruffles - out of sight, out of mind.

Cindy - you will enjoy it here.

    welcome dragonfly

I have to got off the computer - my sister wants to look up some infectious disease for some module she is completing.  Some people of a lot of nerve, does she really think she is priviledged just because its her computer in her house!  Really!!!!

By the way, there is a lot of snow here.  Our dogs have had to use the puppy pads as the snow is way over the heads!  And since they are white we would lose them.

Hey, honey bunnies.  I've had a nice, unexpected day off today due to the snow.  In case we lost power last night (which we didn't...), I cooked a small prime rib roast (< 3 lbs.) & washed a bunch of socks & sweaters & blankets to keep warm.  Also brought the snow shovel inside so I could find it.  Good thing, 'cause I'm gonna have to dig my way out!

Here's the back door this morning:

Here's Foxy, after squeaking through that door so he could do his bidness:

    Stay warm, everyone!

Mum. Thinking of you and sending prayers for your MIL.

Hoping that all of our dusty buns have an especially lovely Sunday evening on tap.

You girls of tomorrow are already moving along to Marvelous Mondays, sooner than we can imagine.

Vivvy Girl. What a wonder to learn some of the 'back-story' for why a portion of your family would be apparently un-supportive of your journey. Amazing. There is often more than we grasp. I hope that the new bridge you have built can be a support to each of you.

Shiny. Hoping that you have found some strength and or a nap, to prepare you for the week at hand.

Jayne. You're really closing in on the finish line now. All hugs have your name on them.

Arnie. Still concerned about you, sis..... and your DD, too. I hope that you are able to have a Christmas of blessings and joy.

Hugs to everyone else. So much love. So little time.

I'm over here being geegee (grandma) so that their parents can spend the day together. My SIL deploys a week from tomorrow. This is 3 month activation over to the hotspots. So as you expand your prayer lists, I'd be so grateful if you'd include him in your prayers. As you may remember, he's a pilot and we always pray that he is "above" the immediate confrontations.

Sending joy to any in need of some.

Oh, faith, this is your new SIL, isn't it?  Oh, that's so hard.  Poor Noelle.

Vivvy, that's a very poignant story.  You never know, do you?  Just having a casual conversation with someone I haven't seen in a while, I find out about yet another woman with bc.  There's just too much of it.  I'm glad you reconnected now.

Prayers for all sisters, and cousins, and mothers, and aunts and friends and daughters affected by this stinkin' disease.

Mum hugs and prayers for you, your DH amd MIL.

Faith adding prayers for your SIL and DD as well.

Kathi I hope you don't have to travel very far in all that snow.

Vivvy I'm glad you have found someone to connect with. Your story made me realise that sometimes when people keep away after hearing about our diagnosis it doesn't mean they don't care about us, they may have another reason for not getting in touch.

I have had a couple of women recently tell me their bc stories. The first was a work colleague who was diagnosed 15 years ago at the age of 42, with lymph node involvement. She says she hardly ever thinks about it now. The second was my aunt Stella, who is my late Dad's step sister. I didn't see much of her while I was growing up, but we keep in touch now via letters and the odd phone call. I wrote to her telling her about my diagnosis and she wrote back that she had 3 lumps in one breast in 1979 and had a mastectomy. In 1980 she had a lump in the other breast and had a second mastectomy. Since then she has led a healthy and active life. I love to hear positive stories like these.

Arnie hope all is well with you and your DD.

Wishing you all well for the week ahead. Hugs and prayers to all those in need.

Oh Mummayan, So sorry for your news, and it just seems even harder to deal with when things come at "this time of year". I hope things settle and get managed very quiquly so that your MIL and your family know what's ahead and what to do, the uncertainty is such a stress. I will pray for her.

Vivvy, hug girl, yep you and I are still seriously not on the same time zone, so I know what you mean! We may not be "on" at the same time, but you know, this bunch of bunnies is always sending up prayers and peachy vibes around the group accross the day.Glad you "found" your infamily support, that was just meant to be wasn't it. hug.

Faith, what a worry,I shall remember to add your SIL in my prayers.

Oh Kak, I have been in R.I, my 1st boyfriend was from there..aahhh, that was such a long time ago. I did love it around there.

Coonie, hope you are having one of your special "wondermously" good day!

Arnie and co! keep on healing! Jayne, nearly there daaaaling, then rest rest rest, my you have done well.

    Barbe you work too hard!

    xxxxxx

I am rough still, must be a wave of a new flu am fighting, comes and goes, and knocks me out. Saw lots of my bed today, did my best when I could then back to bed.Gave DS a bubble bath, with a gazzillion bubbles whilst DD was at a small Christmas party. DH was a star, making up for what I coudn't manage today.

Mum, checking in before I leave work...any word?

To all you other buns, I've added a bunch of you into my prayers so please keep us posted so I can "remove" you from my prayers when all is clear and then I can fill up with someone else! Innocent

Well, Mom left today to go back to california.. so I just had to come downstairs and bake cookies and make fudge before she left. I knew i wouldn't feel like it after she left. MMM MMM. GOOD! My 12 yr old son helped by stripping off my bedlinens and putting them in the washer. I hope he helps put my bed back together when they are dry. He's such a good boy.

My tissue expanders have been giving me fits and spasms. They are NOT comfortable as many of you are keenly aware. But, motrin and vicodin do help, so I'm not entirely miserable. I haven't started fills yet...so I'll let you know how those go. I'm still on lifting restriction of 5 lbs. So.. I can only talk about housework...can't actually DO any. Doctor's Orders!! I am considering hiring someone to clean for me. Maybe permanently?? Sounds like a wonderful plan

Caligrlof68 - I vote for the permanent housekeeper.

shiny - hope you start to fill better soon - see a doctor please.

Mum - I am so sorry to hear about your MIL  Add my prayers to the list and please let us know how it goes.

Arnie & DD - prayers and hugs - if you can, check in.  We are all worried about you.

It is funny how once you have something you start meeting people who have the same thing - shortly after my double mastectomy, while celebrating some holiday, my cousin's wife's aunt (who I understand is very private, approached me about my breast cancer to say she had it over 30 years ago.  Another time I was walking down the hall to see my PCP and I encountered a woman coming out of the Oncologist's office, she took one look at may flat chest and I took one look at the scarf tied around her head and we both said "breast cancer?"  Right there in the hallway we said a prayer together.

Shiny - My sister's best friend had Stage III or Stage IV breast cancer - DCIS, infiltrating - at any rate she had 4 cancers, 3 rounds of chemotherapy, oorph because of a dropped bc, and the DIEP procedure.  This past month she and her husband adopted twins!  You never know!

    Life is funny.

Hugs and prayers to all who need them.  Love you.

Barbe, I am planning to get some blood work and a scan maybe in January, just to rule a few "things" out. So don't add me to your prayers list. It tends to be a bit of this and that with some agrevated something or other on top.. but I will still get checked out in January.

Hope you are not at work!! xx take it easy if at all possible.

Cali, that fudge.. I coudn't be left alone with that stuff too yummy. You do seem to have a lovely boy, that makes such a difference doesn't it. My boy was extra cuddly today, and we had a big "cuddle ahhhh" as he calls it when I put him to bed, just love it. DD kissed my eye lids "one hundred million times" or so, as I tucked her in, as we have convienced her that it is like majic when she does that and it make us sleep much better. aaaaaaaaahhh love em.

    hugs to all

Oooooooooooooohhhhhhhh. I just love the tucking-into-bed stories, Shiny.

Before I forget it...... I did confuse the issue. Each of my two SILs are in the armed forces. Zac, the new groom for DD2/Noelle, is permanently stationed in Annapolis with the Navy. We don't ever expect him to 'ship out.'

The SIL headed to Iraq/Afghanistan theatre is DD1's husband, daddy to our three 'local' grands: WB and da babeez. So, that's going to be especially challenging. Sarah has her hands full on a regular day, so being a single parent for 3 months is going to be difficult. And since I will be spending a lovely chunk of the winter in FL -- she will really be on her own.

Anyhow. I just wanted to be certain to clarify this situation. All prayers gratefully accepted.

Well I worked on the kitchen today. But the puppy wasn't having any of it. So I went back to my room. This morning I went to Target. I got Vertigo while I was there. As everything was spinning around me I could feel people around me but no one came to help me. I finally was able to sit but still no one came and asked it I needed help. After 15 minutes I was able to get up and walk out. Nice. I am the kind of person who always goes over to people and asks if they need help. Whether they like it or not. They can always say no. I guess it is because my grandson is Autistic or just because I was raised that way. Still haven't worked on my room. But another day and I will. Went to lunch with my kids and GK's. Wanted to stay home but they made me go. The puppy got out somehow while we were gone. She didn't pee until she saw us walk in. Then she went all over the tile floor and carpet. Strange dog. My son just left for obedience class and the puppy. He should ask for a refund. The instructor is supposed to start giving him free classes in exhange for him helping her with her website and him video taping and editing some stuff for her. Hopefully she will get this dog into shape.

I love the snow. We were at our once a week Disneyland trip and it was 80 degrees. The week before it was 50 Degrees. Crazy weather. Going to go rest. I am about ready to rip these implants out myself. If it wasn't for wanting a flat stomach I would just leave them out and do nothing. I am never going to date or get married again but I hate my stomach. But I hate these implants and the silicone leak so much. Hopefully some PS will call me tomorrow I want these thing out. Should I get them out and then wait a little bit to get the flap done. Is that how they do it. Glad I found you ladies. Oh. I don't know if I told you I had a problem with a Silicone leak. Anyone else ever had that problem. I saw that I made a mistake in my letter above. It looks like I can't spell.
