JEEPERS! I hope things are OK. I'm praying for a healthy baby and mother.
-
Ella? Can you hear me now?
-
Hello peeps
Cathi - all I can say is that I have lit a candle, here, right now, in real time, for Amanda and her wee bundle. Please tell her how many folk are rooting for her, and that if she ever want a break in Scotland, just PM me. Likewise your wee self.
Oh the candle is from the White Friars. Big Heathen that I am, still love those chaps. They are God's own creatures. Waiting and hoping for the best news from you pet.
Hope all of you great girls are thriving - I am now finished my 3rd week of rads. No real problems but soooooooo bloody tired. Roll on 2010 eh?
Warmest best to you all

Oh Thank you all so much I am running around like a chicken with head cut off, NO ELLA yet, but they are going to start enducing @ 7AM tomorrow AM, I thought we were ready - we are not, Amanda (or actually Ella) was given some super dooper steroid shot for her lungs, she will get another in the AM and then it's time, they have us scared to death of coarse because of telling all the deal about specialists for Ella needing to be called in "JUST IN CASE" I am happy she is coming but crying my eyes out to in extreme fear. I AM A MESS, Ok back to my family. I'll check in again - I LOVE YOU ALL. I AM SO SCARED.

Oh girls I am sitting here working (trying to work - I must work - so much work) but my brain is a mess. I told Amanda she & Ella have surrogate G'Ma's all across the world sending prayers, she says THANK YOU. If I make it through Friday without a heart attack I will be happy, Amanda is almost to calm I AM A WRECK. I am worried enough for everyone. Ed is going into work early in the AM to pay his guys then he will be back and I will head to the hospital he will watch Landen, Jaclyn will take him to here house when she gets out of work I'll be at the hospital to be there when Ella arrives camera in hand as soon as I can I will post pic's.
Well I best get some work done , I maybe back I don't see much sleep for me this night.

Cathi, I'm excited, worried and full of hope for you, Amanda and little Ella. xoxoxox
-
Thank you- thank you- thank you all. I must go try and lie down for a bit, to much walking, sitting and lifting a 1 year old these past days and more to come, a few pain meds and perhaps I shall get a bit of sleep.
We're having a baby - YEAH!!!!!

YEAH! I'm so excited I could pee! Am I a grandma yet?????
Pretty powerful prayers being sent your way...
-
I'm still here on the baby watch, I agree with barbe - AM I A GRANDMA YET?
Sheila
-
I have to say I have had the same feeling as Barbe and Sheila - I am as excited and worried as if Amanda were my daughter (well, maybe neice cause no can do that exactly as Mama Cathi, but ...). Cathi, through out all this please remember to breathe and take care of you, so you will be strong for Amanda & babies!! Hugs and prayers.
-
We are not G'Ma's yet, I am at home W/Landen Ed will be here shortly he had to pay his help this AM - Go fiqure people wanting their pay checks - LOL. Amanda and SIL are at hospital they just called they started the petosin (sp) about 20 minutes ago, DR expects 5-6 hrs before delivery if everything goes as they hope. As soon as Ed gets home I am gone to hospitla so won't be checking back in until we have Ella safe, sound and HEALTHY in a warm snuggly blanket.
Elaine I am trying my best to take care of me as best I can - but it sure is hard, I did sleeo quite well last night with the help of meds so thats a good thing.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

Cathi - Praying, hoping, sending huge amounts of good thoughts and love to you and your family. I've never met any of you but it's like you are members of my family and I really really want the best for you all. Dear little Ella, please arrive safely. Hugs to you all. We are all waiting, holding our breaths. I'm sure there will be a world wide, giant exhale when we hear of your birth. xoxoxox

Forgot to tell you. Both of the waiting-to-be-borns are wee girls. Kerry has named her's. Lily Rose. Rose was her Nanna's name, ( My Auntie Ella was her sister) So named after 2 flowers eh. Both girls are due in April, when I should be ever so much better - chemo, rads etc a mere memory. Be great to start enjoying life !- and new life!. Cannie wait!!!
Sleep well. Going for Christmas lunch tomorrow - Tapas at Cafe Andeluz. Hope I have an appetite! Fab food, but an awful lot of it. God, don't I sound coy?
Hunners of love to you all - and Ella, get a move on, won't you!

Oh Cathi! I am praying for Ella , Amanda , YOU and all. I hope that sweet precious angel has made it into this world by now. Sounds like she is a good size. Even if she looses some wait. They usually do. Oh precious Ella , all your grammys here love you so much! I hope you take a big , little , baby's breath , and scream at the top of your lungs to let everyone know you have arrived! Gentle , sweet princess hugs to our little princess. I'm glad Amanda is calm. She is concintrating on Ella. She knows what she needs to do. What a good mom. Cathi , when you get to hold her , please tell her how much she is loved by us. Hope to hear from you soon Cathi. xxxx

Cathi, I'm sorry to barge in on this thread, but I've been reading about baby Ella. Just wanted you to know I'm thinking and praying for you and your family. It seems that you've got your plate full, and I pray you're all blessed with a beautiful, healthy happy baby girl!! A christmas Miracle!!
((((gentle hugs))))
-
Coonie - you have not barged in at all, xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Anyway - what a long day, some may have seen FB already. Ella arrived at 6:59PM, 6.8lps, smaller than expected, but still a good weight, 19 inches long, deliver went fine except that Amand wasn't allowed to have to strong of an epidural for the pain - JUST IN CASE, so she experienced some pretty good contractions. Ella is beautiful, so far so good, they are going to do kidney scans because of something called POLY in the uterus????? I am kinda confused about that, will know tomorrow, but so far so good. She ate before I came home - a tiny bit, but thats good to, not a cry yet a small wimper when born.
This is a pretty awful pic of me - but hell it's been a long day, and I know you all only wanna see Ella anyway. LOL- XOXOXOXOXOXO

Ella Catherine says hello to all her Special G'Ma's around the world - xoxoxoxoxoxoxox Thank you for all your prayers.
-
Awhhh Cathi!!! She looks perfect---and BEAUTIFUL!!
Congratulations to you granny
I know you'll enjoy her.
Hugs and prayers for your daughter too.
Thanks for sharing the pics. BTW----you look great too!!
-
Thanks Coonie, but I look a wreck, hair is to long, dark black bags under my eyes, etc, etc, but thanks for the compliment. Guess I look alright all things considered. Just spoke to Amanda not a big alarm thing but they pulled Ella out of her room down to NICU, her vitals were a bit weak. Hooked her up to monitors for the night. Amanda has her tubes tied at 11AM Saturday , we will be heading back to hospital in the AM of coarse.
-
Snuck in on another computer to get the news. I'm thrilled!!! Welcome Ella.
It's amazing to realize how pervasive in my life the computer and internet have become. I'm lost. What do you do with days when you don't work or have a family? Scary. I need to find a life.
Love to all. Great to see you feeling well enough to post, Nettie.

Ooooooh CATHI!!!!!!! SHE'S BEAUTIFUL!!!! And she looks PERFECT!! I'm so relieved and happy she is here. What a darling little angel. My biggest hugs and congratulations to you all. You all look fantastic and Cathi - you may look a little tired (who wouldn't?) - but you have such a lovely face.
No, I'm sure they are just being careful about little Ella - it's very common to put little babies in NICU. My first born was in there for 3 days - all because he was a little jaundiced and had swallowed something he shouldn't have on the way through.
Now I am wishing for a sweet and dreamless sleep for all of you. Boy, have you earned a good rest!
Lots of love to you and all the other sweet "grannies" on this thread, including Coonie and all those who may read and not post.
