Just wanted to let you know that after 5 long months of chemo (May--sept), bilateral MX (oct 1st), rads (nov 3rd) I will have my last radiation treatment TOMORROW! (and then it will all finally hit me and I'll have a nervous breakdown--right?)

Congrats on being done (tomorrow).  As for the nervous breakdown - I'm sure you'll be okay and still have some bad days while you're still trying to find you're new normal.  But...... you'll be okay and you can always come here for continued support.

Yah! Celebration time indeed!! Yep, it is a long road, but you have done it. Wonderful to hear. Just in time for a great Christmas!

And yep, a nervous breakdown may be in the works! So, be nice to yourself.

You did it, Christine!  Congrats!   And yes....you may have a bumpy road emotionally for a few weeks.  But, you may not!

    Hugs!!

I am just so HAPPY that after tomorrow I won't have to suffer through the 25 year old rad techs telling me to "be a good girl" and stay in position....

Christine, You are right, no doubt about it, it is scary as s%%t to stop treatment,so go ahead and get nervous; we'll help you deal with it. I was disgustingly nervous for the first 5 years after radiation and chemo, then I got tired of being nervous and quit.

Are you going to be taking an AI? If you are, that is probaby the most important part of you treatment that you get to do for yourself everyday. If so, you aren't done yet!

Christine,  It;s ok to be nervous about finishing rads.  I was really depressed when I stopped and I posted about it here on the stageIII forum.  But you will get over that anxious feeling of finishing rads.  Just keep up with your followups with your onc and stay connected here with the girls and you will be ok http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNman000

Happy Day, Christine!  It's so great to be at the end of that very long road, isn't it?  Separating from all the drama and wondering what's next is quite an adjustment, at least it was for me.  Let joy into your life in every way you can! HUGS!
