Amanda had her US this AM, oh my gosh our Miss Ella is a huge 7 pounds, where did that come from in a week - but that is a good sign, she actually appears to be a week older on this US 37 weeks 2 days, so she may actually be coming into the world next week, DR wants her out @ 38 weeks, we should have definite answers on Tuesday, I guess they are going to allow her to try vaginal birth , they will closely monitor Ella's heart rate once they start to enduce - kinda freaks me out a bit - UGH so scared, Praying, Praying, Praying she will be healthy, the weight gain really is a good sign.

Cathi--

Cathi! That IS great news. God Bless you all in this upcoming adventure!
My SIL was told her baby had an extra chromosome or something and she was born fine after months and months of sick worry. I pray that Ella enters this world with perfect health, ready to receive all the love she deserves.
I know you'll be pretty excited and all, but PULEEZ keep us posted!
-
Cathi, I'm so glad to hear that Ella is such a good weight! I will continue to pray that she is born healthy. Can't wait to hear more. It must be so hard waiting. I hope the birth goes smoothly. xoxo
-
If Ella is up to 7 lbs she is bigger than my son was when he was born (he was only 6 lbs)! good luck to Ella and Amanda on the upcoming birth. I know that you are on pins and needles until you can actually hold Ella in your arms.

Cathi , You have so much going on right now. I wish I was there beside you. Helping you get all the little things done that you probably haven't time for. I would give you a big hug , and then make you and Ed a special dinner , cause you two sooo deserve it! This weekend , I am lighting a candle for you , baby Ella , Amanda , and Jaclyn. Prayers are being said for you all. It is the season for miracles. And baby Ella is our most precious miracle , the gift of life. I pray for her health , but she is already so loved , by so many! We are all gathered , waiting , so anxious. And when her birthday arrives , she will feel all the love we have for her. And she will bless us all by the love she will make us feel in our hearts. Love to you Cathi , and your girls and the boys in your life. And Ed.
Cathi , I am still walking beside you down the yellow brick road. I always will. Weather its to celebrate or to hold each other up , we are all here for you.Be strong and know you are loved.xxxxMel

Wonderful news, Cathi!!!

Cathi, Ella's added weight is great! That will make an earlier birth possible. And the sooner they can intervene in any existing health issues, the better. I hope the stress all this is creating will ease soon...certainly before the holidays.

Hello all
Cahi, that is wonderful, wonderful news!!! What a lovely Christmas present. There is nothing more magical than a new baby in the family. We have 2 babies on the way in our tribe, one is my wee niece (she is only 20 and had put on 3 stone - about 50 pounds!) and the other is my cousin's son. They have had 8 miscarrages in the short time since they got married so this is a truly longed for baby! My sister has been really busy knitting baby garments. I can't because my fingers are still numb from the Taxotere! 7 pounds is a great, healthy weight for a wee baby girl. We are all praying for a safe delivery, including the White Friers, the saintliest monks you would ever hope to meet.
We are all here if you need to unload. I know it has kept my sane in the deep dark moments we all have. Keeping strong and being brave for your family is a natural instinct I think, but sometimes it's hard not to dispair and to be able to share is such a relief.
Well, that's me had 10 rads now. 20 to go. Holding up well, just a wee bit sore under the armpit but God! it is tiring!! !I could sleep all day I think.
Love and hunners of hugs to each and every one of you!

Oh Thank you all sooooooooooooooooo much, I am a bundle of nerves this evening Amanda has been having contractions all evening, no water breakage yet, and of coarse they could always be the "false labor" ones I know, she has spoke with her DR and has been instructed to head to the hospital if her water breaks and spotting or just can't take the contractions anymore, soooooooo I have a outfit ready to throw on in a moments notice, Ed is on Landen watching alert, so excited, so worried, so nervous. Shelia my girls were little, Jacly 6.2Lps, Amanda weighed in at just 5 pounds and dropped down to 4, she was a month early and very jaundice, Amanda's Landen only weighed 6.7 when born.
Nettie special prayers for your soon to be new additions.
Mel - your words always give me goose bumps, I thank you all so much. It really does feel like Ella is going to be a most wonder Christmas gift, a precious gift from God,
Tomorrow if all goes as planned we celebrate Alexcis's 6th B'day (born 12/10) she was a Christmas surprise, born about 4wks early, boy was she a little thing, they let her come home at 5.4pounds. Indian Rocks Beach has a small local Christmas Parade tomorrow, we always try and celebrate her B'day that Sunday, they throw candy and beads, of coarse Santa is in the very last firetruck, we have always told Alexcis it was a special Christmas parade for her - (so bad I know) she always is so excited and honored.
I am so blessed it brings tears to my eyes, I love my family so much I hope they know that and will always remember these times with happiness & smiles.
Oh my time to go have a good cry - XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

Oh Cathi so much going on! So many prayers are with you and Amanda and Miss Ella...miracles happen all the time and what better time of year... remember that medicine, with all its knowledge and tests and equpment is still an art, an educated guess. Miss Ella may just show the docs that they don't know everything!
I know you don't need another pregnancy story but .. I was due in early April, and in fact the docs move the date a week later into April. I went into labor in February, taking medicine to stop the labor, bed rest etc. I gave birth in mid March (4 weeks early). They hoped he would be at least 5 lbs - he was 7 1/2 lbs and perfectly healthy. Sean is now 21, 6'3" , senior at one of the best Art colleges in the country and the healthiest of the family.
Hugs & prayers, believing in the miracle of birth

Hi my dear sisters!!
Cathi...my dear friend...my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. I just feel deep inside that everything is going to be just perfect for our little Ella. Hugs to you sweetie!
I have been away...so busy with work, but I am still so low on cash. It's never ending. Still talking to a few men, but nothing more than that right now. This site has been down at work...so that stinks!
I miss all of you...and will find time, hopefully soon to catch up.

Thoughts and prayers all day for Ella et al !

Well no baby yet. We were back to the DR today, . Ellas heart rate was down again today and she is not moving much, no weight gain, and Amanda actually lost 4 pounds, DR wants to try and keep her in 1 more week as US showed her lungs to be a bit more under developed than they would like - UGH. As of now DR has scheduled her to be enduced on 12/17, she has to be @ the hospital at 10AM, but Amanda has to go back to office on this Thursday for another US and stress test on Ella's heart. Oh ladies I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo TIRED.
Thank you all for checking in. LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!
-
Oh big hugs to tou all Cathi! I thought Amanda looked pretty thin in the face in the pictures on Facebook, but then I've never "seen" her before.
The weight is still good for the baby whichever way it works now....
-
Can we all hold our breath for another week????? That's hard, Cathi, but whatever is best for Ella I'll do.
-
THANKS ladies, I know Judie another week - OH MY, I am not sure how I am keeping up with all this and as always I am swamped with work, the attorneys always wait until the very end of the year to finish up crap they could have done months ago, my eyes are crossed from the computer and my ear hurts from the phone, my fingers are bleeding from typing, MY A$$ hurts from sitting in this dam chair so much. LOL.
Barbe Amanda has all her weight gain in her belly for sure, Well back to work, I'll keep you all updated I am working PST this evening - so who knows when I'll get done - UGH-UGH-UGH!!!!!!
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
-
Oh no Cathi! How frustrating to have to wait another week! You poor things - the worry, the anticipation - must be boiling over in all of you. Still, if the extra week will benefit little Ella's lungs, then it will be for the best. And you are so busy, the time will probably pass more quickly for you than if you had less to do. Yet I hate the fact that you are working such long hours. You need a massage - in fact a full day spa treatment for your stress and tiredness.
Love and prayers to/for you all,
Jane xoxoxxo
-
Cathi, I know that the waiting is the hardest part especially when you know that there might be problems. But like Jane said the extra week will benefit Ella's lungs and will make her healthier in the long run.

Well we had a scare to with Miss Ella, Amanda had not felt her move sense Tuesday afternoon, she called the DR who wanted her right in the office, they checked her heart rate and it was very low so they sent uss directly to the hospital wher they have a better stress machine, after a bit of time and some tummy messages and caffine Ellas rate picked up again. I thought for sure they might deliver her today - nope sent us home, back to DR in the AM for another stress test and US - Amanda is supposed to rest - off her feet etc - and how possible is that with a 1.5yr old and and IDIOT - I REPEAT IDIOT for a husband. I help her as much as I can during the day, but come 6PM when A-Hole gets home it's hell, he's tired from work " WHAT HAS SHE DONE ALL DAY" I know he's tired he does work hard I will give him that, but this is your wife and child, I just want to scratch his eyes out. When is she going to wake up.
-
I'm biting my tongue, Cathi. Unbelieveable!!! What the hell is wrong with him?? Grrrr....
I'm so glad Ella started moving a bit after the caffiene and tummy massage. I'm so worried about that little sweetheart. I can't imagine how frustrating this must be for you. One more week....just one more week!!
Hang in there, sweetie! Please get some rest, eat well, and take care of yourself. I know it's low on your list of priorities right now, but please try!
Love and hugs,
Karen
