1) I've been to the free bc class at Iyengar Yoga on Monday's at noon. Not sure who has a class on the weekend but would be happy to go with you. Let me know what you find out.
2) Go for it.

Snog away girlfriend!
Just do it...before you eat!
Life is short, have some fun!
You get to be a reckless sexy cancer vixen.
Keep your head up, you are in the worst part of this.
Once your surgery is over, you will feel happy and free.
I think you are going to be ok!
do you have tranquilizers...I heart clonozipan!
By the way, I think you will be fine in your new body, but I do say enjoy the hormones before they block them.
-
I know this will disappoint you, but apparently I don't have the cojones. I stayed home, bought way too many pies, and am beginning to tackle the unholy Oprah-worthy mess that is my apartment.
Marie Callendar's Turkey Pot Pie has been consumed, as has 2 slices of cherry pie. Much more Thanksgiving-y food came home from Pathmark with me, so holiday stuff to eat all weekend! This way, if I have a DIEP there should be enough donor tissue to match my current size.
-
Raising a glass of cider to toast a better tomorrow and rest of the holiday weekend. Hugs to you
-
I'm in CT and would love to meet with you ladies when you plan your next event. NYC is a short train ride away.

Hi Ladies,
Hope all had a great thanksgiving. Mine was okay but nothing special .
Fran..Do hope you come to some conclusions about your treatment. Enjoy all of your goodies. Extra fat is always good.
Roseann- Would love to have another Sister at our next get together. You and I have very similar stats. What was your treatment..
Hugs,
Francine

Haven't been on in a few days, between Thanksgiving and work. Looks like there's been alot going on in here. You guys came up at my dinner conversation last night, and toasted good health to everybody.

New BOAT SHOW gtg at top of thread!
-
Thanks for putting together the boat show gtg! Don't know if I'll be able to make it, b/c well, who knows, I might actually have a surgery sometime.
Thanksgiving update - the gentleman in question attended with both his mother and his three year old. Prob just as well that I didn't go. I slept a LOT all wekend, and God knows I needed it! I need more!!!
Otherwise, it seems there ARE some people at NYU that take my insurance. I'll probably make a few calls today. Any of you NYU ladies have suggestions?
Swistel is out of the country, so I can't get in to see him until Dec 21. And Talmor doesn't take my ins.
Josh Levine's office was denied an in-network exemption.
Saw Smith yesterday, I really really like him, but using him may get too complicated....
So much fun!!!
*sigh*
-
NYU best breast surgeon is Amber Guth (G oo th) She was idependently recommended to me by 7 different doctors. She's known as "golden hands."
-
Boat show sounds like a good thing to me. I'm in!
-
Cookiegal,
Great job setting us up once again.
I will put January 21st into my calendar.
Hugs,
Francine
-
Hi,
I live and work on Long Island and I'd love to meet all of you. I can't get to NYC in time for the boat show but I could definitely go for a late dinner.
-
Yeah! Boat Show! I'll be there if I can manage to stay awake. Today I'll be halfway through rads and my bedtime is now about 9pm. It's knocking me off my feet, but I hope all this extra sleep is healing.
Great new pic Francine! You look beautiful!
and Fran, liking your doctor is so important. Maybe Smith is the answer you've been looking for if you can manage the complications? Good luck and let us know what you finally decide.
Hi lifegoeson. Welcome!
-
Not a good saying to be using for a boat show, but I'm going to have to take a "rain" check on the boat show. I'm not even going thru rads like Deb, and my bed time is also at 9. I'm an early riser, usually up at 5:30. So if I end up meeting up with you guys, the lack of sleep will realy throw me off, and with my imune system not being the greatest after all of the cancer stuff, I'll most likely get sick!
Hope to be able to come to the next gathering!
-
No problem Janet...happy holidays!
-
I intend to be there! Hopefully no drama after my MRI on the 7th. I feel like this BC is the f****** never ending story.
Maybe I will get a room and take Friday off, as it sounds like fun and I don't want to miss it.
I have been working alot and have been too tired to get on the boards, but I already miss all of you and can't wait to spend time with you again. I am going home in 2 weeks for 14 days and I can't wait to hug my kid. I will be looking for a job while I am there also, so say your prayers I need to get out from under the one I am in currently, although I am thankful I have a job.
Suzanne, I am laughing because you are getting us together again in spite of trying not to be the organizer LOL
Fran: you are going to have to bite the bullet one of these days though right? LOL I guess that can be interpreted several ways!
Francine: how did your fill up go? I had my fingers crossed for you.
Deb: it is called the Sleeping Beauty syndrome. The more you sleep the prettier you get (:
Hugs and Love,
Linda

Hi Linda,(Omaha Girl)
Was browsing a travel site ..Tripadvisor for a warm place to visit and this popped up.
Thought you would get a kick out of this.
Spotlight destination
Omaha: Omaha offers affordability, accessibility and adventure. Home to the world's largest indoor rainforest, world's largest indoor desert under the world's largest geodesic dome above of the world's largest nocturnal exhibit! Explore Omaha's historic entertainment district where unique boutiques and eclectic antique emporiums line cobblestone streets. Discover Omaha - your next travel destination.
-
Francine, btw your new picture of you is so pretty, and your hair is so cute!
I love this picture and I have stood there! I try to tell people that we (Omaha) are in the top 3 zoo's in the U.S. but no one ever believes me LOL they think there are only farms and is full of real cowboys and Indians still! I usually tell them they have to go to the next state over Wyoming for all of that....
Linda
-
mutual of Omaha's wild kindgon!
Makes sense to me.
We should go on a gtg in Omaha...
-
Love Hudson Yards! and, I will probably be able to get out earlier than 9 pm - I usually leave closer to 7, so that will work out really well. Yes, if I can get a hard #, I will be able to have passes at Will Call. I'll just need one name to put them under - they will be in an envelope from Pursuit Boats (my company). This will be so much fun!
-
Yea! glad you like the choice. OK so we can schedule this earlier if we like---
Boat show 6 Dinner 8
Or We can do Boat show at 5:30.
Thanks Chelev!!!!!
What date do you need the count by?
-
I haven't been on in a day, and there's alot of activity going on!
Omaha, sounds like a great trip to be heading back home! My sister moved to Cleveland about 2 years ago, and she always looks forward to her trips back to Long Island. That would be wonderful if you could end up moving back! We can have a meet up in Omaha! I'll start looking into cheap airfair!
Janet

Hi,
Once again thks for the comments re my new avatar. I really do enjoy my new hair . So easy to take care of and always looks good.
It's great that Chelev can leave earlier . So our drives home for some of us will not be so long.
Linda .. enjoy your time in Omaha. Do watch out for Cowboys and Indians. LOL . Enjoy your family too..your mother and your daughter especially.
Thanks Chelev for getting us passes to the show. Should be a fun thing to do in January in NYC.
Hugs to all,
Francine
-
OK all, vote for the best start time 4:30, 5:30, 6:30!!!
We will need to go in as a group, so we need to accomodate anyone coming from work!
-
Suzy,
I am flexible with the start time but you are right that we must first give preference for those coming from work. I am retired so whenever you tell me to come is just fine.
Thanks again for planning our next event. .
Hugs,
Francine
-
any time is good with me. just let me know.
grace
-
If someone can just email me at mvongerichten@pursuitboats.com by even that Thursday morning, I'll set the tickets aside in will call. I'll be there setting up the show on Tuesday and Wed., so I can run to will call just about any time.
-
I guess we really don't have to decide what time right now. If we have people join in who need to come later we will adjust the time.
This will be fun.
