Saint, a friend visited me today with a (nearly) new baby.  For some reason the joy the visit brought to me continually reminded me of you.

The rest of the story. (Internet just 'returned'????????)

I just got off the phone w/Saint.

I was talking with her while she was at the hospital to get a blood draw. She got the news as we spoke:  She has maintained this great blood count for over a week -- since her last transfusion.

She went in -- to get the count because she was feeling 'low' this afternoon.

We laughed at each other. I think that even she is now willing to admit, that 'perhaps' the fact that she went out this morning to her dear adult-friend-survivor's baptism, and then on to celebrate and then had everyone back to her house, may..... just possibly might have worn her out.

    LOL.

I'm not exactly the right person to lecture her on 'pacing' herself. More LOL.

She said that she has plenty of folks to 'mother-hen' her, but apparently she has not truly listened to all the good natured cackling.

She promised to slow down a tad.

The news of her blood numbers is truly acknowledging what a miracle is unfolding. It's 'tricky' to let your heart celebrate, but she was giddy with excitement as she read the numbers. Her nurse literally 'kicked up her heels' as they learned the number!!!

    Happy dance indeed.

Now, silly girl, pace yourself. LOL.

And when you learn how to do that, let me know.

    xx00xx00xx

    (copied from the other thread)

Saint called me back again last night.

She'd gotten some goodies in the mail & called to say how the package of fun had certainly gotten her attention. We laughed & laughed at each other.

Somehow the conversation 'digressed' and she shared with me her 'sin' and we laughed some more.

I promised to let everyone here know of her imperfection & hence her need to stay here amongst us, so that she can refine this one remaining short-coming.

And of course that made us laugh at each other all the more.

My poor DH had to freeze his TV show, cuz we were being so loud & goofy.

I periodically was pinching myself at our nonsense -- just to make certain I was awake.

Angels in heaven: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!!

So good to see you Saint.

It's December, with cold damp weather and you are way up north.  No wonder you ache!

    More precious than gold, indeed!!

Linda you can take the first shift at getting her to pace herself.

    I'll take the second.

Last I heard I've talked her out of returning to training for the olympic gymnastics team. LOL. But one never knows with Saint??

    Pacing. Pacing. Pacing.

and some patience -- I suppose.

    Strength and courage.

    Strength and courage.

    Strength and courage.

Saint, I'd be honoured to help you pace yourself.  I'm SO good at it.  It's the end of the day and I'm thinking to myself, "what did I accomplish today?"  And the answer is (I'm embarrassed to say) really short.  Yep, I think I'm yer gearle.

    Hugs.
