To all the ladies that have helped me through many sleepless nights.....

Has anybody heard of Xeloda helping radiation work better?  I had b/l mast in 3/09, started a/c 4/09 and was taken off after 3rd treatment because I developed a new tumor while on it.  Then started Taxol/Avastin, did 4 months of it, and know have multiple new tumors throughout my pectoral muscles from my clavicle to my third rib...both sides...can't be removed.  So, my onc thinks this might halp the radiation work better.  My Rad onc told me I could decide not to do rads if I don't want to deal with the discomfort of the side effects.  He said it may shrink the tumors, but because they can't be removed they will come back.  Of course I'm doing it, I start tomorrow, I guess I'm looking for someone else out there that did it and had it work miracles...thanks....

Actually I just posted a study of Xleda and another lady posted she has it during rads to increase the effectiveness of rads and it showed great great results as far as reoccurence when given with chemo. The study was a Finnish study that is ongoing and they wont officially report for 1-2 years but medscape wrote about it b-c the results are so good. I have the stduy under the title

Wow-if your about to go through chemo read this.
