That schedule sounds familiar, but I wasn't pregnant, LOL!  I was on dd chemo, and I remember (it's amazing I think I'm forgetting...) I was sad, depressed, tired and not feeling more energy and optimism until about day 5 or 6.

Sounds about right. Yep, you do forget! LOL!

I also had vomitting on day 1.

I remember each round it would take me longer to feel back to normal, and it would literally just "lift"

Just remembering that taste, and the tender mouth. Yuck.

Yeah - the indigestion and constipation could both be pregnancy related.

I found I was depressed as long as I felt sick.  I never threw up, but did ache all over and just feel nauseous all over (if that makes any sense).  I felt fine on chemo day at first and didn't get ill until day three.  By the end I felt bad by the evening of chemo (don't remember if it was after I switched to Taxol).  The main thing I did tell myself all the time was that the chemo was beating the cancer and it was good to feel bad.

When I felt good physically I felt good emotionally.  I remember following a chemo post that noted that everyone was hitting the blues at the same point in chemo.  Get ready though because after you celebrate finishing chemo and rads you get to hit a wall of post chemo depression that plays games with your mind.  Believe me you will look back and eventually wonder if you felt bad enough.  We crazy sexy cancer girls question everythingSmile

I'm not pregnant, but it sounds about right.  Chemo day and the day after aren't too bad, heartburn, the inability to taste anything and tired - days 3-5 Taxol pains take over my body and I ache terribly, mixed into it all sensitive mouth, bloody sinsuses, gastro issues, neuropathy, and a few other minor SE's,  then days 6 & 7 I feel more like my old self with some fatigue and on Friday I start all over.

Hang in there.................. you can do it!

No, I wasn't sick with Taxotere at all either, but I still got depression.

Just remember, if you are in the middle of chemo, that it will pass. I know how consuming it is when you are in the middle of it, you feel like you have been going forever, and your whole life is chemo and cancer.  I am about  6 1/2 months out, and it is now a very distant memory. I struggle to remember how i felt, etc. So, just hang in there, get it done, feeling good will return!

I'm just started my third round of AC and my symptoms are similar to yours.  I do have mild nausea but the main ses are the fatigue and sadness, for the first 5 days or so.  Dark thoughts start crowding in.  I'm normally quite optimistic despite my dire prognosis, but it's impossible during that part of my chemo cycle.

I hoping that Taxol will be better in that regard.

For those with mouth sores--talk with your dentist. Mine gave me something called Peridex (he gave me a sample, but I think you need a prescription) and recommended a mouth wash called Biotene that you can buy at any pharmacy or store like Target. Biotene helps w/the dry mouth often associated with chemo and that dry mouth can create other dental problems. I was consistent with using this stuff and never had a problem.

I also had 4xAC and 4xTaxol and found walking almost every day helped. Two days after was my worst day and I usually didn't go then. I also was taking something called Provigil (Modafinil) for a sleep disorder I've had my whole life. I kept taking it through the chemo until I started having chemopause symptoms of insomnia later in treatment. I think it really helped with fatique and I've been reading that it's now being used specifically to treat chemo related fatigue. If the fatigue causing major problems, then it may be something to ask about.

My sister is currently going through 3 mos./weekly of Taxol and will start 3 mos. weekly CMF (?) in 2 weeks. She was given a book called

    Eating Well Through Cancer
Holy Clegg & Gerald Miletillo, MD

that can be found on Amazon. She follows it religiously in terms of what she eats before and after treatment, and she's doing so well. She also walks on her treadmill every day. She is still working full time and seems to bounce back from treatment well.

I hope this information has been somewhat useful.
