Love to everyone,

Hi Ladies, I am sorry to say that little baby boy is now in heaven. I gave birth to him,and then later they Dand C'd the placenta. I can say that THAT was the most difficult thing so far. I cied for about a week and was barely functioning. But I am pushing on now. I recieve a little memory box for him. Did not name him,,,but he will always be my baby. Only 15 weeks he was tiny, but I got to touch him and say good bye,,along with I am sorry. THANK YOU Corrine. Your support and words helped me to see that having a baby so soon after all my body had been thru could have been too much. And I am happy to say that my family knows if it came down to that baby or me,,,it would have been that baby. I LOVE being a Christian.
PLEASE prAY FOR MY SCAN IN THE AM. I have a PET scan of my whole body. When NOT if, but when it comes back positive I can have my boobs on Dec.8th. I do not know how much more I can do ladies ,,,so please pray for these boobs AND OF COURSE A POSITIVE SCAN RESULT. I am sooooooo sorry to ALL of the women in this world that have lost a baby at Any age. I had no idea. And now my eyes a re opened to even another growth in life. Love and hugs, Lisa

cebula ~ Thank you for letting us know. Such sad news, but I'm glad she is no longer in pain. I think about her admonition not to postone joy almost every day, and I'm glad that she was wise enough to do this in her own life, as well as share that message with all of us here.
We'll miss you, Bette... and sincere condolences to Tom and her family. Deanna

It is raining gently in the desert for the first time in over a year. I am thinking of dear Bette and her brave and courageous heart........
My love and condolences to Tom and Bette's loving family...we are all touched by her strength, and strengthened by her touch over the last year.
With great love for us all in this journey, and a loving smile for dear Bette

Bette, we will miss you! Your faith and strength has inspired me throughout my BC journey. My prayers go out for her and her family.

I am praying for Tom and Bette's family - she was a great woman who showed courage and faith even when things weren't going her way.........Bette you will NEVER be forgotten!!!!

I just noticed a couple of posts on Bettes Facebook and thought I'd come back here and check if what I was afraid had happened was true. I am so sorry that she is gone. She was so happy with Tom it is sad they didn't have more time together, but at least she found him and he helped her through this. Very sad and unfair.
-
So, so sad to hear this news about Bette. She handled everything with such dignity. I am hoping that Tom is going to pull through this terrible loss. It is so sad that they only had such little time together.
~Misty

Lisa ~ I was so stunned to read your post above that I hadn't reply immediately. Then the news about Bette was such a shock, I realized this morning that I'd totally neglected to respond to your post. I'm so sorry about your baby. Life certainly can deal us some cruel blows at times, but I know how strong you are, and I pray that you and your DH will get through this together. I'm also praying that your scan results are all clear. Please let us know as soon as you can.
Corinne ~ I'm thinking a lot about you, too, this a.m. How are you and the new "girls" doing????
Deanna

I am in tears now having just read the news on losing our dear friend/sister Bette. Our thread is not the same without her daily inpsirational posts. It is bittersweet that she is at peace now and had so little time with Tom. I'm happy she was blessed with such a wonderful husband.
She is now a beautiful angel watching over all of us. Yes, Bette, you'll never be forgotten and Thank you for your prayers and friendship.
Lisa: I'm also so sorry to hear your loss of your baby boy. I pray that your scan (& mine)are okay)
Unfortunatley I discovered a swollen lymph node yesterday. I will post tomorrow's results.
Prayers & Hugs,
Jeannine
-
Jeannine ~ I will be praying for you tomorrow. Hopefully, the chemo did its job and that swollen lymph node has nothing to do with bc, but you will be in my thoughts and prayers until we hear from you.
Deirdre ~ So nice to see your name pop up again! How are you doing? Weren't you building a house? Is it finished yet?
Misty ~ Are you back from Rome?
Lisa ~ Praying about your scan results, too... Please let us know when you can...
For those of you who don't venture beyond this thread, Bette's family posted a thank you to her BCO friends on her Don't Postpone Joy thread. If you've never read that thread, it's especially poignant now. Deanna
-
Jeaninne and Lisa, I'm praying for good results for both of you.

To all my bc sisters....I just got home last night. ALOT of pain. I was going to leave the hospital on Sat but a complication of an illeas (? spelling came up) So I had to stay until they could relieve the pressure somewhat in my belly. It was the most painful surgery I have ever experienced and if anyone gets shots of demeral or morphine or oral percuset make sure you get some type of milk of magnesia. The hopsital did not help me much. I am so glad to be home where my husband can take care of me.
I was in so much pain that I had requested no visitors and happy they abided even though it was 5 long days and I missed Thanksgiving with my family. I got a real quick peak and am so happy with how they turned out.I just today received word of our dear sweet sister, Bette who was prayed for even in my most painful moments. I will so miss her and never forget her testimony of faith. Her verse was" We are more than conquerors through him who loved us. " I know she will be waiting for each of us and someday we will be united face to face.
Lisa: I love you too and understand as I have lost 2 children many years ago. My daughter recently lost her first child. You are also being continually prayed for.
Jeannine: I am praying for you that everything is okay and that your lymph node is not what you suspect. This disease is so hard. I really want to see a cure!!!
