Goodness dearest Arnie. Somehow I missed that this surgery was on the horizon. Adding my prayers to your entire extended family..... you guys have been through so much since we've gotten acquainted. Love and more love headed your way.
Shiny, I think you should just keep the presidency. I'll nominate Coonie to be your V.P. and every now and then you can let her be in charge. LOL. You two make quite a team.
I can't add any more names to the list cuz I'm sure I'd leave out by accident.
I just posted on both threads what I've learned about Saint..... she was admitted to the hospital yesterday. She is not answering her phone. She has the strength of a hundred, but I know that her body is wearing down -- even if her spirit is resilliant. Can't bring myself to type any more.
Tomorrow's a school day for me, which is probably a good thing.
Hugs to one and all.

gentle hugs and hearty prayers for all in need tonight!

Hugs and blessings and prayers going up for all. Nancy

Extra hugs and prayers for Arnie and her DD. Thinking of you Arnie! Nothing harder then seing your child in pain, but it will get better. Hang in there. Send her my peachiest vibes. Try to get help for grandbabies, as you have to be looking after yourself also, that is a priority, as barbe said to me recently, you gotta look after yourself first, then you are in a good position to help others. That is something I firmly beleive in, but that I forgot for a day or so. Thanks again Barbe.
Saint more prayers for soothing comfort for you and your family.
Hugs to all in need. Take care ladies
Am taking 2 hours off before getting kids from school, just to rest. Was a good girl all morning with chores and getting my car fixed, got to get the heat on! freezing!

A team of Melbourne scientists has developed a a world-first surgical technique that may allow women who've undergone mastectomy to regrow their breasts. The Herald Sun newspaper reports five women will undergo the experimental surgery at St Vincent's Hospital within weeks to test the procedure.
Scientists from the Bernard O'Brien Institute of Microsurgery will use the technique known as Neopec to implant a woman's own fat cells in an artificial, breast-shaped chamber in her chest.
The cells will quickly multiply and if successful will be shaped in the chamber to replace the breast tissue the woman lost.
Wayne Morrison from Bernard O'Brien says Neopec's a big step forward but it might be 10 years before it can be used for cosmetic purposes.

Will be keeping Saint in my prayers...
Just wanted to post an update on dd. Her surgery was supposed to be the shaving of the L-5 disc to keep it farther away from the nerves. She had been experiencing numbness, tingling and pain in her left leg. The surgeon tore the sac that the bundled nerves are in, they are surrounded by fluid, it was an accident of course. Sooooo he had to repair that first and then go on and shave the disc. She is in intense "nerve" pain and they ended up re-admitting her from the interim care faciltiy to the neurological floor. She's being given moraphine, percacet (sp?) and valium and they're barely touching the pain. She can't move, stand or even shift herself in her bed. I gotta tell ya ladies, I haven't cried that much for 11 months of bc crap...but I've cried enough in the last two days to make up for it. It's soooo hard to watch my girl in sooo much pain!
I probably won't be posting much, but will be back to give updates...I'm spending alot of time at the hospital.
Love to you all....xoxoxox janet

Thank you coonie, and I'll be praying for Saint and Faithie...and all of you beautiful dustbunnies...
-
Arnie, dear Arnie.
I am so sorry to here this. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you to see your adored daughter in so much pain. Please God this is all temporary and the nerves, once soothed and post trauma, will stop sending pain messages. I don't know what surgical or other means they can use to isolate these nerves and stof the pain, but no doubt they will try everything.
I am sending you lots and lots of cuddles and strenghtening hugs my dear. You must do the basic for you too at this time. You are in a high need situation, which means it is doubly important that you take care of your body and spirit to enable you to be there for your girl, without colapsing yourself. I pray you have a great good strong and capable team there to shoulder some of this worry and anguish with you.
I will keep the prayers and vibes coming lovey.

There is so much pain and sadness here at the moment, with many having difficult times.
This is just to maybe bring a smile and a few moments of joy.
-
Ok... I'm off but to Saint, Faith, Shiny and my dd I dedicate these words... xoxoxo
Be still my soul
The Lord is on thy side
Bear patiently, the cross of grief or pain
Leave to thy God, to order and provide
In every change, He faithfully will remains
Be still my soul
Thy best thy Heavenly Friend
Through thorny ways
Leads to a joyful end
Be still my soul, they God doth undertake
To guide the future as he has the past
Thy hope thy confidence let nothing shake
All now mysterious will be bright at last
Delight yourselves in the Lord, and yes find your joy in Him. Be known for your gentleness and never forget the nearness of our God.
And, don't worry...whatever is to come...just tell God every detail, and the peace of God that no one understands, will come to you.
No, don't worry...just tell HIM every detail and HIS peace will come to you.

Oh Arnie, the gentlest of hugs for you sweetie. This is not what you need or she needs at this time. I pray that she begins to get relief! I will be checking all day to see how she is doing. Please let us know when she begins to get peace.
Much love,

Arnie - I don't know where I've been but definitely not on this thread. I am so very sorry to hear your DD is in pain. I am sending prayers and hugs your way. Please, please take care of you, too. I wish I could be there to help but know in spirit I am. Its frustrating that this is the best I can do for you (besides prayers) and your dear daughter. Hope it brightens your day just a little. hugs also to Trent, Lilah, Mr. Arnie, and the rest of your family.

Gentle HUGS, prayers for comfort and healing, and my LOVE goes out to all. I have often written names on a piece of paper or index card and carried in my pocket to "hold" when I can't do it myself. Peace and Blessings, Nancy
-
Nancy, what a beautiful concept! I will "hold" those struggling today, too.
-
My heart is heavy today with all this news. Arnie - I pray for quick healing and a return to good health for your daughter, no pain.
That was a lovely prayer/words you wrote, pretty much says it all.
Nancy- I love your practice of holding others near you.
Saint - I think of you often.
-
I love the note concept as well. I will also "hold" those struggling today and I have the cutest pink heart shaped post-it notes to do it on.
Hugs to all the dust bunnies as everyone needs a hug
