Ok.....I am leaning towards the 21st at 2pm.....I know this leaves Leah out
, but I think it will have the least other conflicts.
I think if the south street seaport food court is still open, that would be great, but I need to check on the status of their renovations.
I just think someplace self serve like that means we can stay as long as we like, have enough room, no minimums and no splitting checks.
And hey it's Saturday so if we go downstairs and have an early cocktail no one will be the wiser.
If it's nice out we can take a walk, there is a gallery I like just north of there.
I really hope by then I will be sufficiently healed to get on the subway.
-
Hi Suzy,
I am looking forward to meeting you and all the other women on the 21 at 2PM.
I will check back for more specifics. I have not been to the South Street Seaport for some time.
Feel better.
Hugs to all,
Francine

Well, if it's Sat night I can still join.
Leah
-
great!
-
November 21 sounds possible to me. Still don't know about the 19th but I would like to meet up with you folks.
-
Lets do 2 PM Saturday....think downtown, and I will work a bit more on the specifics! I actually have a conflict that evening.

NOVEMBER 21 SOUTH STREET SEAPORT
Checked web site....food court appears to still be up and running....so let's meet there.
(does anybody work nearby? I know they did renovations)
Selfishly, I would like to move it just a tad earlier, since I have to be somewhere that evening.
Would 1 or 1:30 be ok with everyone?? If not we can stick with 2.
If you go to the site you can see a list of everything they have to eat. Hope the food court plan is ok, it's a nice open space with lots of room, and a great view, I have always liked it.
Looking forward to meeting everyone!!! Glad we could squeeze this in before holidays!!!!!!
-
Sounds good to me! I look forward to meeting some of you folks in person.
Seaport foodcourt is a perfect place to meet.
-
This time around I can't make it from London, but I hope you folks will eat and drink plenty for me!!!
Have a great time -
-
Next time!!!!
-
Hi All! It's on my calendar for the 19th and 1 PM works for me!
God Bless!
-
Confusion here - is it the 19th or the 21st?
Thought it was the 21st and can't make it then, but if it's the 19th I would LOVE to be able to meet you all.

sorry...I think angel was mixed up, Saturday the 21st...1 PM.....If you are late that's ok.I'm thinking we will be in the area till 4:30 .....so Leah if you can come by towards the end we would love to see you.
-
I might be a little late on the 21st. I'm getting my hair done at 9:00, and should be done by 10:30ish. After shleping in on the LIRR, and the subway, I should be there around 1:30, depending on the train and subway schedule. Looking forwared to seeing you all!
-
Thanks Suz but I'm a Sabbath-observer (Orthodox Jew) so can't make it Sat afternoon.
Enjoy!
Leah
-
So, we are on for Saturday, November 21, at 1:00 at the Southstreet Seaport Food Court?
Final answer?
-
Sorry guys if I got it all confused....but I am still good to go on the 21st!
Leah.....I am counting on this being the first but not the last get together! Perhaps we can plan a second gathering in short order! Would love to meet you!
God Bless!
-
Yep, 1 pm. 11/21 !!!
See you then.
-
Do I have to wear pink? Is there a secret handshake?
I work on Bway near Wall, I can try to take a walk over there to check but I probably won't get the chance, it's not really that close. Last time I was there was - maybe 6 months ago? It was fine. Not sure if that was pre- or post- the renovations you're thinking of.
-
Angel, I appreciate that but I don't live in NY, I live in Israel (will be visiting NY soon).
BUT I do want to tell all of you that if you ever plan a trip to Israel, let me know.

Leah,
Maybe some of us can stick around afterwards and meet you? Go to the movies or something? Or maybe I'm the only one who has no life.... anyway, thought I'd throw out the suggestion if it works for anyone.
-
Hey Gang! I'd love to be able to join you all, but can't promise yet. I may have to work that day.
I'll keep you posted. I live in Kingston, so would have to take the bus into the City- that's doable- hour and a half ride, so all depends on work schedule. I know I'm free on Sunday though, if anyone wants to meet that day . . .
Hugggs to All!

hey all....looking forward to seeing all.....the food court is on the third floor if I recall. it has a nice view of the east river. Yeah, I'm not getting all pinked up, but I have shoulder long strawberry blondish hair.
I will try to set up shop near the windows that over look the water!
Leah sorry we couldn't do the evening, the good news is sun down is really early these days, so maybe we will still be around.
Thanks for those who sent their cells!
Suzanne
gtg 1pm, 11/21, south street seaport food court!
-
just editing to say I shoulda kept my big yap shut here, and I apologize
-
This way we have all the space and time we want, no waitress to shoo us along, people can eat or not eat or bring their own food if they want to. If people come early or late it's fine.
-
Take a break from shopping with lunch, dinner or just a snack in our Food Court! With seating for over 250 people along with delicious food stops, the South Street Seaport Food Court can accommodate any appetite.

Suzy,
I too am not a fan of food courts but your reasoning was excellent. It is so much better not to worry about spliting bills etc. And a view sounds great to me. Looking forward to seeing and meeting my BC sisters .

Funny how I zeroed right on the "Margarita Bar" listing!
Ha, ha, ha!
Rachael, be there or be square! And wear your shades....I bet it is a bright beautiful day!
God Bless!

more when I get my head untwisted (unrelated, non-cancer issue at home)
again, my apologies
