Hi Suz...I am in Manhattan, too...and would enjoy getting to gether with other gals from this very supportive site! Count me in....Sunday in the day probably won't work well, but I am pretty available otherwise....right now beginning a job search...so alot of availability, actually!
Look forward to seeing how this develops!
God Bless!
-
hi Angel! What part of town are you in? I am on the UES. If this is just a few we could do at my house, otherwise a park or cafe would be better, or maybe even the food court at south street seaport?
-
Suz...I am in your neck of the woods....UES side is great!
Hey, where are all the other NYC chicks??
-
I am here! I am here!
We had a great get together not so long ago--keep me in the loop!
-
Next Friday?? 10/30? Earlybird special somewhere? My husband works evenings, so it's nice to have some company on Fridays.
-
Shoot....BIL and S-I-L coming in from Indiana that Friday- Sun afternoon...Sunday evening would work....??
-
Sure why not?
I'm fine with weekdays too....that Monday or Tuesday or Wed would be fine.
Supposed to go out of town 7-8, hope I am recovered enough to make it.
-
Jane...need your input here on a convenient day...
Sue are you talking recovered from surgery or our night out?
Where are you in your recovery process? How about next week Monday,Tuesday, Thursday (26, 27, 29) if it is a weeknight? Are you up to that yet?
I am getting my nips and a revision done on Monday November 9th...and expect to be out of pocket a few days before and after...
God Bless!
-
Still in a decent amount of pain, but Tuesday might work if we did UES walking distance. It's hard to predict how the healing will go.
-
Gentle hugs, Suz. Let's keep it for the week after just in case, and see what Jane is up to!
God Bless!
-
Good idea! I am going to get some headshots done that week, (while I still got hair!), but I think maybe wed would work fine.
Feeling really good this AM.
-
Just wanted to say Hi to Jane. We met at the first NYC lunch a few years ago. Tropical place with allot of other bc sisters. Beth, AnnNYC and Jdash were there. What a pleasure you are. Hope all is well. Someday we will meet up again! Stay well.
-
27th would be great for me--hey--I am two and a half years out from surgery and chemo!! Time sure does fly!
Waving franticallly at you Des--loved meeting you and your hubby, and Felicia, Beth NY, AnnNYC, Jnash, Robin Wendy, Jane from Wilton, and who the heck can even remember who was there? Althea and we spoke about her cats? We had some crew! And the lovely ladies from England!
We had a great time, and hope we do it again soon! Next time need to again do name tags!!
Looking forward to seeing you all again, whenever it is!!
Warm hugs to your hubby, Des--I remember he is some somthing special!!
-
Jane the 27th works for me, but I think Suz was thinking the week after.....do you have any availability the following week?
God Bless!
-
Hi ladies, where's the party?
Weekends are prob. best for me. Going out of town this w/e, may not be able to check back till Sun night.
-

Yeah I am still in the post surg everything is a little challenging phase, don't know if I will be 100 or even 90 percent by 27th. I am supposed to go to YSC event on the 28th by the way, it sounds like a nice one.
(If I get all stitches out on Monday I might be fine, especially if we do UES.)
Once I am better I love going downtown, I still think South Street Seaport would be a fun GTG
-
i was thinking about going to the ysc event too, but i start jury duty that day and might be too tired from sitting around all day
. i also went this week to the free (for bc survivors) breast health class at iyengar yoga. it's on mondays from noon to l:30. it's more of a stretching class with props. i'll probably go again next week if anyone's interested in meeting up there.

I'm still laid up, so I think we should wait for the next week.
-
Suz...gentle hugs going out to you....rest easy and look forward to meeting you when you are up to it!
God Bless!

Hello all! A Long Island gal here! If you get together over a weekend I would love to tag alog! I also work on the Island, so getting into the city during the week would be hard for me. It's possible, but the LIRR doesn't have the greatest of service after rush hour.
Would love to meet all of you guys!
-
Hi,
I am from Westchester but am not afraid to go into the city. Just let me know when and I will definitely try to come.

I missed the last NYC get together but have met many of the women in other places. I would love to hop into NYC and meet some of you if I can.

Saturday November 21 2 PM
Here are some ideas-- Boat ride of some sort? Circle line or brunch cruise?
If it's still open South Street Seaport food court.
Family style italian? Like a Carmines or Tony's.
Korean BBQ is fun with a group, and most of the places are close to penn station.
Or we could do a museum and cafe....there is a Sarabeth's branch in the Whitney. The cooper-hewitt is nice and has a pretty nice cafe.
There is a nice cali-mex near my house with good margaritas and guoc and it is pretty good for groups.
OK.....I hope I did not put too much on the table...let me know which 2 times would work best for you.
Cheers

Hi Suz,
I am so glad I found this thread. I never had scrolled down to the bottom of the board. I would love to meet with you people. The dates you said are all good for me at this time. I am into food so Carmines or such would be fun. If you come up with a definite date I will mark it down and definitely come. I am retired so whatever time or date is fine with me. Just give me a little notice .
Thanks and looking forward to meeting you all..
Hugs,
Francine

Hey, i work in the city and live right across the river. I would love to have an outing with some BC sisters.
-
Hi!
19th and 21st are great for me...anytime!
(I have tickets for Cirque's Wintuk on Sunday the 22nd so that doesn't work!)
Thanks Suz!
-
either time on the 2lst works for me. Could also do 6pm on the l9th. Your suggestions are all great. I'm up for any of them.
Thanks for organizing and hope you're feeling better!

The 21st is also good for me. Either time is good. The 19th would work for me if it's close to Penn Station, I'll be scheping in on the LIRR from Mineola, and the earliest I'll be getting into the city is around 5:30.
I love the idea of Carmine's or the Seaport. I'm looking forward to meeting up with everybody!
-
Can I tag along? I'll be in NY for a visit on the 19th, and either time would work for me. Let me know where and when.
