You are so right patoo. Hope you can walk some. I live in a scenic area but it is just too hot to walk and after dark, the snakes are out so in the fall and spring I do walk but summer and winter. no way. I could just walk in front of the TV. LOL
Am hanging in there and I know God has a plan in store for me just don't know what yet. Will visit another new church Sunday and am looking forward to it.
You hang in there my friend. Blessings to you also.
-
Hey Spar, don't laugh at walking in front of the TV. I used to do that and should again. I would walk in place, side-to-side, up and back, knee lifts and kick backs, during the news or Judge Judy (LOL) and actually it was right before bed. You would think it would have kept me awake but I think it actually helped me sleep better really.
Give it a try; if not at night, anytime you are sitting watching tv. Exercise does lift the spirits.
Praying for you, my friend.
-
Hey JO, that sounds like a walk to me, a good walk. LOL
I gave the tv walking a try and hey, it wasn't bad at all and time goes fast when your watching a good show. My DH has lost so much weight that he now has to wear a belt to keep up his pants. All from working the land everyday, he is always building, mowing, digging, moving dirt, sand, and compost around. He loves the heat and gets out and sweats in it every single day. Winter comes and he will put some meat back on his bones, watching football in front of a nice fire in the fire place.
-
JO, that is a lot of walking. Try it with a pedometer and you will be surprised how those steps add up. Housework also counts.
Spar, I am back to walking in front of the tv as it does go fast.
Blessings.

Can I visit my friends that know how much Arimidex can make you sorer.
The dr says I might have fibermyalga( My spelling is bad) and I get red and
very sore plus lymphedema and arithritis. But Patoo is right the devil wont win
With God on our side. Jo you can ask the Dr about this. God bless you all,
Gentle hugs, Debbie
-
JO, you sound like me. It is just too hot to go out, its too hot to do anything today. LOL. Good excuse while DH is out sweating like crazy hauling sand around and leveling land. I look out from my air condtioned room and watch him out the window and wonder how does he do it and he never gets tired he is always cheerful and I am to blessed to have a Gem like him.
Glad to see you footie, girl, with fibromyalgia, arthritis, and lymphedema you are always such a joy to others. God bless you friend.
JO, you also need to get busy and use that new glue gun and post me some pictures on the craft thread.
Love you guys, thanks for making me smile and feel so much better.

I am feeling better each day, the meds are starting to work. I didn't get to go because my granddaughter got sick at her stomach and had diarrhea. So will try this one Wed night, it is called Temple Faith, then Sunday I hope to try a church called Bethlehem. I know I will find a church home soon. God is good.
JO, get that glue gun out of the bag and start making something. LOL. I have so many projects going at the same time that I get confused on what to work on first.
Love you ladies. Goodnight.

Thank you so much Patoo, my husband is a very good patient man but I have been so down and crying so much that he felt he had to say something, this has been going on for years and am so tired of it. I just want to talk to my friends, support and encourage the new ones and pray for all of us. It is time to let the past go and I think some of this group of ladies are feeling the same or at least I am hoping and praying they feel the same. Goodnight all. hugs sherry
-
Spar and Patoo sending you alot of love and
prayers. My arimidex made me sorer today
and with the weather getting colder arthritis
and other things started more. Have you noticed
any of that. God bless you all, Hugs, Debbie

I took Arimidex for 5 years and have been off of it for 5 months now. I have been experiencing the same things everyone else here has experienced. Just wanted to let you know, it is the same for me too. I've been on an antidepressant since chemo and it helped a lot. I started out taking Lexapro which helped, then a lot of anxiety set in. The Arimidex caused a lot of body aches, so one of my doctors recommended I take Cymbalta to help with the nerve pain I have, plus the anxiety and depression. I've been taking Cymbalta for several years now and it seems to work pretty good. I still have many days that are difficult, but I fake a smile until I really am smiling and that seems to get me through it. That and I have two really good friends who let me vent to them all the time. They seem to understand that I'm "normal" on a different level.

Spar2, my friend - thinking of you and wishing for your speedy recovery. Hope you are getting a lot of rest and look forward to your return.
HUGS and prayers.

Thinking of you.
HUGS and prayers.

I won't be finished with Arimidex until July of 2012. My husband does notice that I am moody but I haven't noticed.
-
Patoo, I think of you daily, thanks for being such a good friend and sister in Christ.
Deborye, you are so funny, just wait until you come off it, it is a whole nother ball game, not so good. Its like we go through menapause 2 or 3 times. I did have to get on antidepressants and am still on them right now. Am scared to quit afraid to go back to the depression and horrible hot flashes.
Of course I can't imagine you grumpy but husbands, ahhhh that is different. LOL
-
Spar2, don't go off the antidepressants until you are good and ready. Many people think there is a stigma attached but there's a reason the meds are produced; if you need it for your well-being, then you need it (told to me by a good MD friend a couple years ago when I was on them and thought to go off). You will know when you can handle being off of them and then will wean off slowly over a period of time. I needed them to get through a particularly difficult time; stayed on them for 2-3 years and weaned off over a few months. Been off them for several years and I'm doing okay.
Luv ya!
-
I have the trade name for xanax still in my medicine cabinet. I will probably expired by then.

Keep in mind, mental changes can result from chemistry within the body. I noticed I was much harsher, blunt, talked more on chemotherapy. My onc sez it takes an equal amount of time for all the chemical imbalance to correct. So if you had six months of chemo, six months recovery is needed. You're getting great advice here, be patient, but careful not to burn bridges behind you. I think you will "even out." However, how can we go thru this cancer diagnosis and treatment without scarring of some sort? It may be life changing for good or bad. It is under your control to get through it, be strong. Or should I say, stay strong. Obviously, you have already displayed a great deal of strength in confronting your cancer. Best of Luck to you.
-
thank you so much lemonjello, I am doing a lot better since I have started the antidepressants. There has been so much happening in my life recently I don't know if I could have handled any of it with out them or my faith. We just have to find our new normal after this disease. Hope you are doing well. Best to you also.
