HAHAHAHAHAHAHA And Casey is STILL in the picture smelling something! Did she just poop breakfast? hahahahahahaha
-
Good morning all. Yesterday I was feeling dizzy, nauseous and my head hurt - I slept most of the day.
Arnie -- those grandbabies are so cute. The dog is a hoot too!
Barbe - you are too funny - paint fast and the peeling paint will lay down?!!
Lucy - hope your legs are feeling better.
Jane - Nancy's right - spring rods are the way to go - just put up real light ones curtains - I wouldn't try heavy velvet drapes.
EWB - isn't it great finding a bargain? Before I moved in with my sister I changed the furniture around all the time (got it from my Grandmother). I had apartment--sized furniture. My sister, for example, has a kitchen table that weighs 300 pounds (a mix of colored concrete mosiacs) and a 7 piece entertainment center that weighs 2,000 pounds! No way I am moving that!
Hope everyone is having a great week so far.
-
good morning ladies.
Kathleen, I do hope you are feeling better!
I am off to a class/workshop this afternoon....get this "Dealing with Clutter" !!! Ahahahahah. Its at the Wellness Community (great place if you have one nearby). Thought I would check it out and see if I could get any great ideas (that I don't have already) for easy purging. I have loads of great ideas, just don't act on them
Hope everyone is well today.
-
Well then, I am looking forward to a post full of tips!
-
Arnie, cute babies!!
Barbe, you go, girl!
Elaine, how perfect -- a de-clutter class -- maybe you could video it. My problem is, I do know how to de-clutter, just don't have the energy to do it.
Hugs to all.
-
well-- thats what I am hoping to discover - the secret to easy effective de clutter - a blink, wiggle of the nose....you get the picture.
-
-
I was going to purge my closet today, but DH convinced me not to. He hates to see me work. He'd rather not be around.....heheheheheh.
-
Wow!! This has been a yackity-yack day around here. Love to see everyone gathered round.
What great pictures of the grands Arnie. They do have a way of ticklin' your heart, don't they.
Last night I went over to have dinner with our pips so the happy parents could have a date night. I just love having them all to myself. (Giggle, giggle.)
My favorite part is putting everyone to bed. I love rocking the twins. It's a bit of a balancing act, but I can still manage the both of them at the same time. The trick is then getting them into their cribs, after they've kinda dozed off..... but ya figure it out.
Then reading to WB (Wonder Boy) is the highlight of my world. I love that twilight chatter when he's winding down & all snuggled into my arms.
Much love to each and all --
xx00xx00xx00xx
Good to see everyone.
Hugs to those in need of one.

"I love that twilight chatter when he's winding down & all snuggled into my arms." It brings back lovely memories......bedtimes have always been my favorite when kiddies were little, even now a quick snuggle and tuck in does wonders. Sweet dreams ta all

Sweet dreams EBW. .. by the way tonight at bedtime.. my DS suprised us all when I put the phone to his ear to "talk" and hear his dad who is working away 3 days a week at present. He said, "bye bye daddy, I love you, see you soon". My husband had to ask if he heard right. He said it so naturally (he's got a communication disorder, so for him, that was out of the ordinary). Very lovely to hear. He shows all the time that he loves us, he is very affectionate and caring, but to hear the words.. ahhh, sure his dad went to bed smiling tonight. My girl always kisses my eye lids at bed time, she is convienced, with my help, that it is magic and will send me into a special restful sleep. She's such a caring kiddo. oh, here I go again, gushing.. oups!
Bonsoir, bonne nuit, beaux reves a tous!

Nobody has to clean today.

To all the dust bunnies - I always thought a stainless steel house with a giant drain that you could take a hose to in order to clean it would be best.
This has absolutely nothing to do with housework - I was feeling nostalgic for my childhood:
-
Good morning Dustbunnies!!! It looks like some of you are up early and ready to tackle the day.
Shiny---Your posts ALWAYS make me smile!!! Sure wish I could hear you all singing Faithie's ditties:) Hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe you and your kids can be on Faith's next recording project!!!
Big hugs to all of you today......those in treatment, doctor's appointments, hurting, etc....
(((( hugs to all of you ))))

Sharon. I'd like to volunteer to be the first on the list for Mr. Hard Hat. What with all the wedding preparations, I'm under a lot of stress & feel that he could get 'underway' here at my home.
Thanks for your kind consideration.

SHINY SHINY SHINY SHINY
I am soooooooooooo thrilled that the occaisional lyric of mine comes creeping into your day!! I know how those scraps of language mean the world -- when they are rare. That was an entire encyclopedia he expressed to his dad. Brought tears to my eyes, too. You musta been over the moon with joy.
Big hugs to our RosieWonderGirl & JazzyJayne as they near closer & closer to the finish line.
Sending bottled energy to Arnie as you continue to regroup and return to wellness.
Much love, all my dusty buns.
Barbe..... you deserve a hug just for making to the other side of that wack-doodle day.
Kathleen...... how's your shoulder coming?
Jane...... hope your hubby's healing is quick, the recovery direct.
Oh dear, now it feels like I've got a list going. Uh-oh.
Cheryl...... thinking of your leg. Is it responding to the suggestions?
VivvyGirlofTomorrow...... always have hugs for you -- off into the future and all.
CoonieSmileMaker...... please don't clean anything, go for a walk instead.
KAK..... glad to hear that your new med is part of the equation for returning to yourself. Enjoy this vacation at hand. Are you heading anywhere specific? Or is more of a 'stay-cation'??
MyDebOHtwinsy..... you have been might productive & I want you to cease & desist. LOL.
Now the list is longer, so it's even worse to have regulars fall thru my swiss cheese brain.
I think of others who pop in with the occaisional mop: Julz, Spar, Footie, Dream et. al.
PatMOM!! That's who I'm leaving out. Sending you a shout out.

Faith - swiss cheese brain? I can't remember anything anyone else said that is not on the same page as I am posting and I have no excuse! Shoulder is coming along - everyone says it takes a long time for a shoulder to heal. Of course, why would I pick something easy to have replaced?!
To everyone -if you are feeling like cleaning I suggest you take two aspirin and lay down - the feeling will pass!
-
I did absolute NO housework on my day off yesterday! I am SO proud of myself! I done good!
I am rebelling as I have to drive an hour to work on Friday for a meeting and then an hour back. On my day OFF!
-
Shiny- so very sweet. I have sweet memories of tucking my dd into bed with butterfly kisses (with dad) but she and I had raining kisses - lots and lots of little kisses all over her face, neck etc. I can still hear the giggles. Your dd is very sweet, loving and kind!
Sounds like things w/ds are going swimmingly! singing, "I love you"s wow. You have worked so hard for this...what a gift he was given for parents!!
How is the acupunture going? Has it been helpful with the SEs?
-
EWB, thanks for your thoughts, et tout le monde ici aussi!
Well, Poor DS had tears this a.m (had them yesterday in short powerful burst before school but no words to know what about). Yesterday he had a good day after that, he was born happy, so he braves things. Anyhow, when it started again today, I could tell it was about something to do with school. The brill thing is that he managed, eventually to say what was wrong, so 2 super stickers for his mega effort. Turns out he is really missing his interaction with his Helpers from his infant school, as they "read" him so well and were able to share and understand him quite well, said "mrs A will come back" "mrs C will come back to work with.." He also blurted that he missed his friends "the new friends, the old friends". The school staff just have loads to learn, so after 2 meetings 1 with each school, i've agreed to keep DS with me Monday for them to cram some work in to make things work better and finish putting in the key supports and play facilitation schemes so he CAN communicate and play with the other kids more meaningfully. He wants to reach out so bad, was quite a heartbreak this morning, but he is such a joy and such a little trooper, he just got to school and did his best as usual.
So,..any extra prayers will be gratefully received (if you have a spare one going) for supporting him whilst the staff reach their steep learning hill. Am helping 2 families with their children's Special educational needs access this week, so it will keep my mind busy. It feels good to put ones experience to good use.
EWB, accupuncture, jury still out..but I must say, I do seem to be getting a fair bit done this week, despite the usual pains and fatigue, and haven't quite been as "foggy" in the car? I will report back. Enjoy your peaceful and tidy house. In bed now, feet screaming, so trying to recoup.
Thanks again for the ditties Faith!! Love them and they are such a TONIC!
xxxxxxxx be good to no 1 now ladies, and that is YOU! hope you are having a peeeeaaachy day.
-

Oh Shiny
I'm so sorry your boy had tears this morning. I bet mommy had tears too, huh? Isn't it amazing how mommies feel the pain probably more than the wittle ones. I'll be praying that tomorrow and the rest of the week goes much better for all of you!!
Arnie my friend!!! You're fixing to have a BUSY 2 weeks, but just think......you're on the OTHER side and winding down your treatment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL!!
Sharon, been thinking about you and wondering how your day is going. What about the weather? Is it starting to cool off? Could you PLEEEEZE send me just about 10 degrees of cooler weather? hehe
I'm thinking of MaryRose too.....she's getting close. I think the end of her treatment is close to the beautiful wedding taking place in Faithie's family. October is gonna be a GRAND month. Oh, and my DH even turns 49 October 6......he's getting old......hey, what am I talking about? I'm only 2 1/2 years behind him:) hehe..... DD will be 22 years old on the 28th of this months! Yep.....I'm getting old too!
Barbe, could you send me about a quarter of your energy? I could sure use it right now. Maybe KAK would like a quarter too.
Cheryl....bless your heart. This leg thingy has been going on for awhile. Any recovery of that in the near future? I sure hope so.
Elaine...you sure sound like a sentimental mom. My kind of lady! Your kids are very lucky to have you for a mom.....I'm sure they have wonderful memories too:)
(((((hugs to all of you))))

Hi to all my Dust Bunny friends,
Haven't posted for a while but am here daily seeing what is happening.
Having a bad week this week, today am taking a mental health day and just doing things for me. Weather cold and rainy here and my scar and arm are aching, dh is away on a business trip and has been for 10 days, have teenage son who is currently unbearable and family that just don't help me but are happy to help my sister who is a single mum. Have spent the last few days working, and just running around for the kids and it is making me really tired. I am so grateful that I have you guys who cheer me up everytime I log on.
Am going to take the kids to school, come home and have a good cry and get it out of my system, then maybe watch a funny movie.
Thanks for listening and letting me vent as sometimes I feel that people here just don't get it!!!
love and hugs
Viv
