I'm bitchy, I moan, I groan.....anyway.

Patti - my thoughts and prayers are with you. I am so sorry. You are right, she is no longer suffering and is with her Lord and Savior. I know you will miss her.
-
I'm sorry about the loss of your Mom, Patti. She sounds like a very good woman -- I hope she whooped it up on her birthday passage.
Lots of sadness, decisions to be made, multiple health concerns -- a big SUX to you all.
Gee Dreamwriter -- must be quantum physics -- your hubby thinks the world revolves around him and my boyfriend thinks it revolves around him. No, they never change or grow up. Go on the trip and have a blast. Enjoy the sun while his you-know-what freezes. Re. the cat -- have you tried getting a new litterbox for the kitty hogging the one you have? Maybe two new boxes that each cat can claim as their own.
For me, the usual not knowing what is up, what is down. Coming or going... Job interviews and COBRA ending in December will decide my fate. Since I haven't a clue what I need or want so I am stuffing myself with ice cream. At least I can count on ice cream as a sure thing. And my cat.
-
I am sorry Patti.
Dream you go and enjoy that trip.
Sessna you are such a great writer and your words are balm to my soul.
-
Ah Patti, my Mom waited till we had left the room too! She had worked hospice for 8 years and used to tell us that she would have to run to the elevator to get family members whose parent had just died...
Hugs to you and yours.
-
Hugs and Prayers, Patti. May God's comforting hands rest on your shoulders and guide you through the next days and weeks. Nancy
-
I am so sorry Patti.
-
Patti, I am so glad that you see the positive side of your moms passing. It must be a comfort to you to know the balloons and cake are all ready for her. You have a special event in your heart that will last a lifetime. However, there is pain in missing her and I wish to sent you a hug for that time ((((((((PATTI)))))))) that is the biggest squeeze I can muster.
-
dream, don't you dare think of missing florida. Maybe we can have the next meet up near you and you can bring him along??? Mr. Flash appreciated meeting all you girls. It has made him much more sympathetic and understanding of my friendship with you and the others. Don't let anything stop you from coming.

Hugs, Patti.
Hugs to you, too, Jane and Dream.
Too much suckyness...
-
So sorry Patti, it is sad for you and your family but a happy day for the Lord
-
She is present with the Lord because Jesus paid the price for us to have the ability to go Home. When we accept Him, we have a new Home forever. Bless you Patti. She is telling the moms up there about you. That's what mom's do.

OMGosh Barbe1958; Your right. Darnit!!! Crap. My ears are burning. It sucks that my first day up there, I'm going to be grounded
-
I wont have anyone up there waiting to say anything nice.... my family life was so horrible that it is pretty certain that they are in another place. I am hoping that I get a harp instead of a pitchfork. If I get a pitchfork.... Im grounded for the rest of eternity.
-
Dream, you're already a green angel here on earth. I'm sure that there's a shiny harp with your name on it that's been waiting for you (and will hopefully keep waiting for a very long time) since the day you were born, and maybe even before that.
-
Just a fly-by to say----
Patti, hugs and prayers your way in the loss of your Mom--Knowing she is in heaven is a wonderful thing, but I know you will miss her. My Mom died in 2006--and it was tough to realize the reason it hurt so much was that I had never lived in a world without her in it. I think it will always hurt me that my Mom is gone.
Dream, you are definitely getting a harp, but not for a long, long time.
Sessna, your words nurture me as well. I don't post much anymore but am always reading...and put me on the book list, too, please!!
Hugs to you konakat and hey to Traci
Love
Sue

Sue, nice to see you here....hows the retirement going ?

Had PT today for my shoulder. The therapist said I should be doing the exercises twice a day - it takes me two days to got over the PT!
My other gripe is conflicting information from so-called medical professionals. One PT told me that if I didn't get full range of motion back in 16 weeks I would need another surgery. The one today told me I had a year to get range of motion back. Both told as well as the surgeon that I would never get full range of motion back but it would be close. Sure, on that everyone agrees. And that's just the tip of the iceberg regarding conflicting medical reports. I think if you ask a question and they don't know the answer, they just wing it. Argggggggggggg
-
Patti, so sad, but your mom is in a much better place now. (((((((HUGS)))))))).
A big that SUX for all.
Kathleen, what did you do to your shoulder? I have been having pain in my shoulder and just below my shoulder blade on my back, near where the lumpectomy and rads was done, just wondering if your pain is from surgery and rads???
Have A GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!
-
Thanks for the angel responses.
I too have pain just below my shoulder blade. I think I overdid it when swimming yesterday. My doc says its great that I have a swimming injury instead of something related to cancer. It should be gone by next sunday.... I hope.
-
I went to 3 meetings today & dinner, with a pair of my PANTIES static clinging to the back of my skirt!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
-
Oh Angel!!!!! I have never, ever read anything that made me laugh out loud, for so long, and so hard as this. OMG!!!!!!! I think I'm gonna pee my pants!!! Hmmmm, your avatar seems, ahem, appropriate. Hehehehe!
Thank-you so much for sharing this Angel. I'm sorry for your embarrassment. Someone should have said something. Awww, geez....But so funny!
-
Hi all, I know it's been forever since I posted.....sorry.....
I confess, I clicked on the last page without reading all the posts. Sorry again.
I'm here tonight cuz I have a serious bitch....my one cancer free sister (out of four) had an abnormal mammo, followed by finding a lump in an ultra sound, and is having a biopsy done tomorrow morning.
I thought for sure, our family was done with cancer. How can 4 out of 4 sisters get cancer before the age of 45? WTF?????????????????? I'm so Fing angry. Even though we wont know for sure for a couple of days....I know, y'all know, that gut feeling.
If you pray, please add my sister Kristi to your prayers that it is B9.
I love you girls. I'll do my best to catch up, and be a better bc sister, asap.
Love to all of you,
Traci
PS: Patti, so, so sorry about your Mom. (((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))
-
Traci...praying fro your sister.
-
Big prayers for your sister Traci.
-
Traci - you and your sweet sister have my prayers.
I have to ask the difficult question: Didn't she have the BRCA-1 testing after you tested positive? I can understand if she didn't - my sister tested immediately (she was neg.) but my 25 yr.old daughter doesn't want to know yet.
My heart aches for you,
Lisa
-
Traci, she is in my prayers.
Geez Angel, that's some powerful static. My hairspray doesn't last that long!
-
Traci - I am praying that the lump is benign. Your family needs a break. My heart goes out to you and your sisters.
Lisa - I can understand your daughter's reluctance. None of my sisters tested at all - they thought I should have the test - why? Would that tell them they are at risk?
Angel - someone should have told you - did someone finally tell you or did you discover it on your own?
My shoulder pain is the result of a fall that shattered my shoulder necessitating surgery to replace the shattered parts. When I fell the pain was so horrendous I was seriously thinking of asking them to just leave me on the floor for a few months until I could heal rather than have them actually move me! BTW, I fell in the hospital while visiting my aunt. Wasn't that convenient?
-
praying for your whole family tracy. In sisterhood, xo
