    Okay I am back.....

First stop stint removal...glad it's over but I never want to do that again.  That things was over 10" long and had 2 circles at each end.  It was not a comfortable procedure and I am thrilled it is over.  So far my back is thanking me and I am using the bathroom like a normal person.

Second stop to see the PS and she is going to do some research tonight to try and figure out what the problem is.  In the meantime I got stitched up again with my little pin hole and I will go back in 10-14 days.  I think I am going to wait 14 this time.

So productive day but I wouldn't recommend taking an ativan and then a xanax together.  I was a little stupid if you know what I mean.  Off to go heal....

I hope everyone had a great day! :)

Oh Jaimie...over 10" long????  Ouch!  And then stitches to boot?  You are a trooper!  I'm sorry you went through so much today, but am glad you feel ok now.  If I took an ativan and a xanax together, I would be asleep!  Hope you heal up quickly!

Ow, Jaimie, I bet you are glad that sucker is out of you. Hope the PS can figure out what to do....after a day like you had, I think it warranted a little medication cocktail!

Hope everyone has a great long weekend. We have nothing major planned, I am hoping to get some gardening done. I am rearranging one of my Perrenial Beds, it should have been done in Spring, but I was a little pre-occupied then! So it has been messy and bothering me all summer. Anyhow, hoping for good weather!

BTW Apple, my kids favourite movie at the moment is The Wizard Of Oz, and everytime they watch it I think of you!

got a question............are any or all of you going topless now in public?  My head is now covered and I think tomorrow I will be getting it evened out.  I know everyone I work with know my story,(they have added another department to the Buddy's Race for the cure that is racing in my honor...........yea I can't keep from crying), but I have had this wig on since Febuary..............what do you all think? It's still to short to spike, but the hot flashes are getting worse with the Tomaxifin and its hard to keep everything straight when I'm sweating so much.

    Grace,

As of this past Tuesday, I am going topless....hair is barely there, but it feels so freeing!  I figure, all though it doesn't look the best, we really had no choice about fighting this beast, so I am going to just embrace this time of my life and make the best of it!  (It is a lot cooler too...)  Good luck!

    Cheryl--hope everything turns out okay!

Good news- no DVT! Just a superficial clot. I'm to put warm compresses on it and elevate the leg, tylenol for the pain. The party is still a go!

Grace~ I've been going topless for a few weeks.  It isn't hard around people who know but is strange in the general public.  I almost want a T-shirt that says that I didn't cut it this way on purpose... Recently a drug rep used the word "scalped" to describe my hair.  One of the people I was with told him what the deal was... It was akward.  Just confirms that it is too long to look like chemo-hair but too short to look normal. Here's a recent pic:

    Cheryl~ So? What's the scoop?

i've been topless for a while now - in spite of the scalp showing..  this photo was taken a couple weeks ago and it's actually grown quite fuller.

everyone loves it... so happy I have any hair at all.

Whooo Cheryl :)  Glad the parties a go have a drink for me.

Grace no hat or cover for me for the last month.  I just had a short buzz cut look and while it was hard it was tons easier than going thru chemo :).  Ditch the wig and be free, feel the breeze in your new hair.  It feels wonderful :)

Judy~ That's the funny part I just got stupid with ativan and Xanax together...lol...  If you asked me a question I would stare at you for a huge delay and than answer.

I am exhausted today but I got a good nights sleep last night for the first time in a while.  I am hoping I continue feeling better.

Apple - you are looking great! So are you Michele! Grace and Kim - good for you for going topless! It really is very freeing. I was looking back at photos of me when I first started going topless, and I can't believe how little hair I had. No wonder I got started at. But it is funny, I actually feel more like "me" with short hair, than I did in a wig. Mine is growing in pretty thick (no Alopecia from the Arimidex) but I still want bangs....

Cheryl - I'm so relieved for you. Now, no more getting us worried, that is an order! Have a blast at your party! When is your birthday? Is it today? Nope, just looked on Facebook, Happy Birthday for tomorrow...!

Jaimie - hope you slept well last night. Keep getting better!

    Happy Long Weekend everyone.

KerryMac...Alopecia from Arimidex?  Please tell me that is not true.  I just started it last week. Ditched the wig too.  I agree, with you, very freeing...although my hairdresser was appalled when she saw me.  But it is part of my story.  My hair did not come back blonde...it is white in the front and salt and pepper in the back.  Everyone else told me they thought it looks nice...hairdresser said it made me look old.  Maybe I need a new hairdresser.

Deb - If you look at the insert with the loooong list of SE's, it is listed as one. I think with a 10% likelihood! It hasn't happened to me yet...Yep, don't change the hair, change the hairdresser!!

Cheryl, you look GREAT in your new hairdo!!  You too, Michelle and Apple!  Great cake too.  My birthday was last week.  We made it Cheryl!!

My hair is still too short to go topless, but it's getting there.  Did you color your hair?  I'd like to do that since mine's growing back salt and pepper.  I'd like more pepper please, less salt.

I would think you should be fine Michele or you can call and find out.

Thanks Cheryl and Kerry my foobs are not behaving at all.  Another blister followed by a hole on the other side.  There has got to be something that I am allergic to (I have a ton of allergies :()  I will be back at the PS office tomorrow morning at 10am so I maybe losing my implants tomorrow.  At this point I just want to be better :(  If that happens I will revisit getting something next spring :(  still pisses me off :(  Sorry I am pretty upset about it.
