    I think that they are trying to show that they understand. I have made innumerable stupid harmful statements myself, so I try to be understanding in return. If it's too bad I say that I'm fine, can't talk now, and leave. 

    These boards are full of new friends for you.

    From all the comments in this thread, I actually feel that I am now prepared with what to say in future. I particulary like; "My doctor has told me that i am not to listen to negative stories, Im sure you understand". That is perfect.
