Oh my gosh! I just found this thread and you guys are the best! I'm actually only on my second infusion next Tuesday, but I really really like the idea of thinking about fun stuff instead. I swam in my pool today for the first time since diagnosis. It was heavenly. I'm also a glass artist and I spent a couple of hours in my studio this afternoon - the first time since diagnosis. It also was heavenly. Life does go on, huh! Thanks for sharing the beautiful photos and good times.

Good Morning all.
Prayers for your DH, Coonie. I hope it goes well.
I'm off to the Cape again today. It's supposed to be in the 90's and very humid. When it's like that I have to get to the beach.
Tomorrow I have my mam and Friday and MRI so I could use some prayers too!
Have a great day.
Linda
-
Prayers for Mr. and Mrs. Coonie and for Linda. Here's hoping all test results come in quickly and without incident!!!
Happy Escaping to all today.
I think Checkum is busy with farm chores.
-
Thanks for all the welcome mats and warm fuzzies!
Julz, you've been to Corning? I'm so jealous. That pic is a Chihuly - he's amazing.
If you get a chance to look sometime, my glass is here www.designsbydaun.com.
It's so great to read about "life after BC" and know that all of you are out there having so much fun and living life to the fullest.
-
(((((((((((((((Linda)))))))))))))) will be sending hugs and prayers to you this week. Enjoy the beach!!!!
Glassist I'm gonna check out your website. Thanks!
Good morning Sharon! How ya feeling today?
Sure hope everything is ok on Checkum's farm
-
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmgggggooness
were those pictures of Coonie? our Coonie???? evidence of her existence????
what a great way to start the day!!!!!!
Welcome Glassist. You'll love us. A word of warning: we are addictive.
We are also classy and understanding, full of encouragement, occaisionally hilarious.
second word of warning: don't ever read along, while swallowing drink -- you may spew the contents on your computer screen in disbelief.
I am currently hijacking DD's computer as mine has gone into oblivion apparently.
Happy escape to one and all.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
Can't wait to go see your website, glass.
We are a pretty creative group around here.
We catapulted Checkum into the ribbon winning survivor's tent at her recent heroic 3 day walk, through our group's collaboration.
-
LOL Faithie.....you would think I would have posted a nicer picture of me, huh? I did have my BC shirt and cap on though and some socks too, but you couldn't see those:) Thank God!!! Had a little run-in with a pine tree but nothing a little makeup won't take care of
Glassist! I love your website. It's beautiful!!! Faithie, you'll love it too!!
-
Jo. That's exactly what happened on my computer/laptop, before it's utter melt-down.
I had a couple days of seeing only partial pics then oblivion.
I'm on DD's desktop currently.
I'd back up anything of significance to other flashdrive etc.
Hopefully it won't happen to you.
Coonie. I always thought your existence was one part urban legend and one part folk tale. The 'coon that roams in the dark -- sprinkling good cheer everywhere, but never seen by human eyes.
I had Sharon in that category, too, till she turned up on #32 with KAK's skill.

-
Four years is a l-o-n-g time with technology.
My laptop is only 2 years old, but I'm hoping that it can be 'stripped' and 'cleaned' and made to work again.
-
Faithie, this is really me...
LOL......I don't photograph well at all, so that's why you'll see very little of me. But this is one of my best pics so I for sure wanted you to see it.....hehe
Hey Jo! I'm having a hard time seeing pics on this thread too. I even started a new thread the other day for some of the problems I'm having at BCO. Oh.....and one of my pics it is just from the ear up....that's the way the pic was taken
-
Ok Faithie......it's your lucky day. I do think I posted this one awhile back on another thread, but you must have missed it. We were in Branson.....the good looking dude is my DH
.......BTW----we will be married for 29 years on the 23rd of this month!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE HIM!!
-
Hi there Glassist, what a beautyful artwork!
It makes me jealous to see how creative you all are (but thats in a good way ofcourse), I have some extra thumbs when it comes to making things.
Great pictures Coonie....really nice to see you are having so much fun activity! I keep your DH in my prayers! And you Linda as well, there is plenty of space in my prayers for my Escapee-friends!
Julz, the blueberrys tasted great! I made a new jam with clove, cinnamon and agave syrup, it was yummy! Reminded me of christmas
)
Love to you all, Idun
-
We had a Canadian escape on Sunday got to meet some of our Ont BC ladies. We could of talked for hours.
-
Julz4- Yes those are our trees, we also have plum and peach that we get fruit and have apple and cherry we have hopes for. We also grow strawberries, gooseberries, raspberries, and grapes, yes we are confirmed fresh fruit and veggie addicts!
Idun - Have you used Agave syrup before? The jam sounds great. We will make apricot jam anad can apricot halves tomorrow.
Yes life goes on even with Cancer, it may knock me down but I will keep getting up and do things the best I can. Hope you all had a good day. I really like this thread!!!
-
Carollynn - this is the first time I use Agave syrup for jam, it is not as sweet as sugar and it has a really mild and nice flavour. I posted the recipie on the trhead In Season Recipies, which is a thread that I actually think you migth like a lot. Your garden sounds delicious y the way! I would love to be able to grow apples and cherrys, but it is not possible in the cold out here
