At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person.
Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.

As life goes on it becomes tiring to keep up the character you invented for yourself, and so you relapse into individuality and become more like yourself every day. This is sometimes disconcerting for those around you, but a great relief to the person concerned...Agatha Christie

This is it
+++++++++++++++++++
This is the day that you are alive. This is the moment that
you are in.
All your hopes and dreams are real right now. All your
possibilities are ready to be lived.
Everything you've ever done has led you to this point. You
are more fully alive, aware, experienced and prepared than
you have ever been.
What matters is not how old or how young you may think you
are. What matters is making the most of this moment you now
have.
What matters is not how much or how little you may think you
have, how fairly or unfairly you may think life has treated
you. What matters is that you make the most of who you are.
This is it. This is your moment to fill with the best you
can imagine.
Live it with love, with purpose and joy.
Ralph Marston

"Youth is not a time of life;it is a state of mind;it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees;it is a matter of the will,a quality of the imagination,a vigour of the emotions;it is the freshness of the deep springs of life."...Samuel Ullman's

Anything that is given can be at once taken away.
We have to learn never to expect anything, and when it comes
its no more than a gift on loan.

"Every now and again take a good look at something not made with hands - a mountain, a star, the turn of a stream. There will come to you wisdom and patience and solace and, above all, the assurance that you are not alone in the world." Sidney Lovett

There is an old adage: "When you're a teacher, by your pupils you'll be taught." I read a more recent story by Gervase Phinn, a Yorkshire schools inspector and author, who tells of an interesting conversation with an eleven-year-old boy in the Dales, a keen reader who solemnly said, "Hold a book in your hand, and you're a pilgrim at the gates of a new city."
A surprising thing for a young lad to say but he had,in fact, learned this Hebrew proverb from his grandfather, a preacher!!!!!!
