Update text from Lisa's daughter 8:35 p.m. PST
"I saw her and talked to her and things were fine. Then had two primarily facial seizures while I was with her but the docs say it's normal. Having trouble speaking now but aware of what's going on. Still in recover. ICU is full but will get next bed."
Thank the Lord she made it through surgery. A very long surgery at that. I image that will be it for tonight but I will keep you posted as I find things out.
-
Lasted update from Lisa's daughter, 12:10 p.m. today.
"With her now in ICU. MUCH better than after the seizures last night. Able to communicate, ask and answer questions, but choosing words is a challenge."
-
Oh Brenda, thank you so much for keeping us posted on Lisa's progress. You are a love to be so faithful.
Hoping and praying for good news and it sounds okay at this point.
Thanks again, Shirl

Thanks B---any word on when she is going home and what we can do to help her at home---i make a mean casserole---and could sit with her if she needs...
-
She was up eating jello at 3:30 today. MRI was pending schedule opening. I am not sure when she will be home but I wouldn't expect her before the week-end.
-
I am hoping Lisa will be ready for some chicken soup when she gets home..
-
I'm so glad her mind is ok, evem if her speech isn't yet. That was what she was most worried about.
Yeah Lisa!!!!!!!!
And Brenda - thanks for the updates.
-
So happy to hear the news about Lisa. I saw her last week and she was struggling, so I'm thrilled to hear she's doing well after surgery. Brenda - please continue to send us updates as your hear from her daughter.

Lisa was in PT today and walking. They may release her tomorrow but it is not for sure. I don't know if she is going home or to some place in LA. They lowered her dose of Decadron and we all know how happy that is making her.
-
Lisa is being released today. Her ds is driving her home to San Diego. Amazing.
-
Thanks for the update, Brenda. Remarkable--thank goodness for her good progress!

My 40 year old son played baseball in a tournament today at Tony Gwynn Stadium at SDSU
I had never been there, but I must admit days of old "Little League" passed through my mind..
he is the catcher for the blue team..
-
Hi all, pix are great, Lisa, as usual, we all enjoy them so much!
Yes, I joined the "Army of Women", am waiting for my necklace!
Thanks again Brenda, for keeping us up to date with Lisa.
Hugs to all, Shirlann

I can do the 26th or August 2. I am working almost every Saturday right now. Busy season. The boys are going to work with dh and hanging out in our motorhome. If a Saturday works better with everyone go ahead and plan it. If I can come I will.
-
I can do both those dates too.
-
I can do the 26th. We have tickets for LJ Playhouse on the 2nd.
-
The 26th works for me too
-
I am up for the 26th, NO PROBLEM, as long as my dear Lisa e-mails me. I am such a loon. I can't remember anything anymore.
But I love you all and I can come.
Hugs, Shirl

How about Mission Valley this time
-
Mission Valley is fine. Where?
-
Umm, we have Sammy's, or California Pizza Kitchen (kinda small), or the Cheesecake Factory, or Appleby's, Bennigan's, Baja Fresh (again, kinda small) or a very nice King's Fish Restaurant, that is if everyone likes fish, they do have a few other things.
There is a brewery restaurant right across the street, hmmm, we went there once. Gordon Biersch? And of course, Mimi's, but I don't think they take reservations, but I can call them 1/2 hour before we want to come. It is nice.
Hugs, Shirl
-
I go for Chilis or Chevy's or Mimi's

I started a new thread for LisaSDCA. Please read it and send her some good, loving vibes.

Hello all--Sorry but won't be able to make July's get together ---we are finally going to take our vacation that was originally scheduled for May--husband has been working real hard on his recovery from shoulder surgery and have rented the condo --so things have quieted down!
Going to visit my aunt in Denver on 7/24-8/2 to relax and see some sites! Also may get to see a nephew/his wife and two children who live near---
Catch you all in Aug--and I will post for Lisa!
xo,
Sylvia
