Thanks Hollyann.......The black border is a double crochet stitch around the square. If you are able to border the squares that would be great.
I finished a hugaghan Saturdays night.....
then started looking at baby crochet books...because....I'm going to be a Grandma!!
I'll post a picture of the afghan tonight.....it will be in tomorrow's mail.
Thank you all

I am the proud receipient of the blanket that is pictured on lizws's post that was made on June 30th at 1025.
You ladies are absolutely amazing! What a wonderful thing you all are doing. I'm currently home recovering from a recent surgery, and this blanket lifted my spirits and my family's so much. I couldn't believe what I was reading when I opened the box. And when I pulled the blanket out, I couldn't believe how lovely it was. You all moved me to tears and my husband looked like he was ready to cry right along with me. You have all touched my heart. To do something so wonderful for someone that you don't even know is so beautiful and so greatly appreciated by my whole family. My only regret is that I have to wait until winter to enjoy it, or I could crank the air conditioner back to 65 and snuggle up!
From the bottom of my heart thank you so much for your kindness, you are all very special women!!
Love,Wendy.

Wendy,
Oh good - your box of hugs arrived safely. I have to laugh at your air conditioner comment. So many of us do that in order to wrap ourselves in our hugs. Know that we are always here for you and if you ever need anything, all you need to do is yell and we'll do what we can for you.
Gentle hugs
-
Wendy - That's great that you received one! Best wishes to you!
Liz - A box o' squares is ready to go... do you want them?
-
Wendy, glad your hugaghan arrived.......wrap yourself in our hugs.
Laura, I think Liz does need some squares.
I am mailing a hugaghan today. I have two hugaghan pictures that I need to post.
Thank you all so much for helping.....We really could not do this without your help

madison,

how do you figure where to put the squares? is it all random or do you have a specific pattern of colors that you follow? do you want any more of the puffed rose squares? i have a box almost ready to go with another one in there.

Madison - WOW - they're gorgeous! Thank you for being a member of the border patrol!
ellie - If I was putting one together... I would agonize and obsess for days on end... move the squares around hundreds of times! lol I'm sure it's not an easy task! After a while I would think their eys would start playing tricks on them! lol
A box of squares is on their way to Liz!
-
Ellie and Laura, both Liz and I lay out the afghan before we begin stitching them together. We also change the squares, add new ones, take out some squares until we feel like we have it "right".
I love the puff rose squares. You can send them my way and I'll split it up and send Liz some also.
Thank you so much.

my dear sisters,
my mil passed away last nite. it has been a very emotional day for the family espescially for my husband. i was out shopping for something nice for her to be buried in. i have been trying to be strong for my family. i just got in and on my kitchen table was a box. (thought it was my mail order from talbots lol), when i opened the box i could not believe what was in there. it is the most beautiful gift i have ever received. i wrapped the hugaghan around me and could feel the warmth of all the love and caring that was put into each and every square coursing thru my body at this very difficult time. it has been my undoing--i can't stop crying--for the loss of a special woman and for the finding of very very beautiful friends. through my tears i thank you from the bottom of my heart. it couldn't have come at at a better time. i've seen all the photos of the hugaghans on this thread, but it is so much more beautiful than the pictures.
thank you my friends and sisters
love,
ellie
