Just found this thread and adding my prayers for strength to attend the graduation and enjoy each moment! We can do all things with the strength only the Lord can provide! What an awesome God we serve! May He bless you and your family above measure on this special day!

I have just hung up the phone. It was Saint's dearest husband. He knew that we were in continual prayer today for them.

The sad news is that Saint was unable to attend the graduation -- even for the shortest amount of time, even to catch a glimmer, as had been her fondest wish.

I'm sure that as soon as I hit 'submit' my tears will start on her behalf.

I know that now, more than ever -- she will need our strength and encouragement to regain her feisty, can-do attitude.

Please continue to post your care and concern. I know that when she returns to the boards it will brighten her spirits. She needs us now, more than ever.

Maybe in a day or two, when her strength has returned, they can re-enact her son graduating. Just part of it. So she can at least take some pics......or hey,, just have the whole graduation all over again. I think that's what they should do!! I mean, we're talking about a SAINT here!!! All things are possible. Still sending hugs and prayers Saint!!!

Adding my prayers for Saint.  Whenever I come across your posts, they are spot on.  My prayers are with you and your family.  You did make your son's graduation, although not on the bleacher seats to watch.  For that, I am sad, but you are strong and courageous.  Take this time to regroup, and gain strength.  You are AMAZING!!!!!

Heavenly Father, please wrap your arms around Saint and her family at this time of need.  In the name of Jesus, AMEN.

Dearest Saint - your son and family know that you wanted more than anything else to be there and so you were, in spirit.  I'm certain that there was nothing else on your son's mind except your intense love and desire to be there as he walked in the procession.  You can be very proud of him.

Continued prayers for you and the entire family are going up.

    Blessings.

Saint, my heart aches for your loss of this experience, but my head tells me that God has saved your strength for another reason. Allow your grief to wash over you, and through you, knowing you are being held in safer arms.

Please be at peace, my friend.

copied from the other/Stage IV thread:

Just off the phone with Saint's husband.

Today's update...... "more of the same."

She was unable to go to church this morning (her church is literally across the street from their home.) Saint missing church is nearly as significant as being unable to attend the graduation ceremony. Her worship is the mainstay of her rock solid attitude. I know that missing worship will have been yet another afront.

According to her DH -- as of this moment, she plans to return to the hospital tomorrow for rads treatment #10 of a projected 12. And as everyone knows the fatigue is cumulative and will no doubt get worse, possibly much worse, before abating gradually over time.

As far as I can remember her appointment is set at 9:30 (or something right in that ballpark)..... so think really good thoughts, send really powerful prayers tomorrow morning.

****On a personal note. I know that there have been 'past misunderstandings and hard feelings' on the boards-at-large over who's the very best friend of whom -- and even who 'belongs' in what area/forum. I know that our friendship is of a very short length of time, compared to how many of you know Saint-- from chat and from similar dx and even chronologically.

I don't in any manner want to imply that I am her bestest, best friend. I am a very lucky gal to have this midwestern connection to her.

I know that she has shared 'the real depth' of Stage IV-ness, with those of you on that same portion of the journey. I just thought that 'seeing' her alive and well and vital, with hobbies, might make her even more so in your hearts and minds.

Ayone that has pictures from the Vegas adventure...... I'd love to see those. She LOVED meeting so many on that trip.

    Now I ramble.

Thank you to each and all, who have added to the goodwill expressed here. To tell you the truth, I don't know yet if she has been able to 'read' (or have read to her) the love expressed..... it is my understanding that she literally has not been on the phone or web for the duration of the weekend.

Keep it coming, at some point, it will mean the world to her.

Dear God, your child has fallen. She has not questioned your actions, even when it kept her from church, but come on! Enough is enough! Innocent Please help her up to stand up in the faith she holds so dear.

I'm getting kind of frustrated down here. Don't make me come up there..... Yell

A new day dawns with strength in our sisterhood -- that we are sending your way, dear friend.

We will carry you for as long as it takes.

You have carried so many here, for so long.

    Now it's our turn.

Remember what a seriously 'good hug' feels like?

So sorry you had to miss your sons graduation and church, too. May God bless you in a special way and provide His comfort for this. Try to focus on the "good" the rads are doing - with all this  tiredness, those cancer cells are really getting hit! Allow His Hands to hold you these next couple weeks, and plan for the future after the "tireds" go away!
