Just spoke with Saint's DH.

She skipped treatment again today. Just not up to it.

She is not yet up to speaking on the phone.

Pray on dear sisters. Pray on.

She and I have spoken every Monday for the past year or more..... today's Monday and the first time we haven't chattered on endlessly in a very long time.

I so miss hearing your voice sister.

This too shall pass.

This is all temporary.

God strength our friend. Brighten her heart in the midst of this fight.

Praying sisters, I don't know if you're aware, but Saint is VERY active in her church's choir. She loves to sing. She loves choral music. She's crazy for the old hymns. She loves harmony. She's wild about singing. (Her teenage daughter has the voice of a super-star & just had a lead in her high school's musical.) They are singing people, the Saints.

When you go about your day and a hymn comes into your mind, sing it with gusto for Saint -- she'd just LOVE that dedication. 

Dear Healing Creator. As I meander thru this oasis Garden-of-Eden, I am surrounded at every peek by the grandeur of your amazing gifts to us: the green fern waving in the breeze, the minute fawn resting in the grass, the glorious sunsets of every hue.

I know in my head that a Creator of such sculpted beauty cares infinitely about the details. I know in my head that You are holding our sister in your gracious hands -- sending her everything she needs in your time. I'm just not very patient. My heart wants her restored right now. My heart aches that she missed her graduation ceremony for her dearest firstborn. My heart is heavy in it's feeling of helplessness.

Please surround our friend with your gracious goodness. Empower her medical team with wisdom beyond their experience. Give her family unbounding strength to care for her now, when she hasn't the strength to care for herself. Give her friends and neighbors insight into how to reach out to the family & what to say.

Strengthen my faith as I learn again how to trust in your mercy, when the story at hand makes no sense to me. I ask that you ease the pain and suffering that Saint is experiencing constantly. I can't imagine that suffering fits into your plan.

May we lighten the load for one another here, thru our friendships, caring and prayers.

Shine your healing light into every realm of those suffering here, Saint and so many others.

Guide us, teach us, uphold us, empower us that we may be your agents of love to one another.

i knew there was a reason i like you Saint.. 

i accompany a choir/ensemble.. know every song by heart, words and notes.  i will listen and sing along with my choral playlist while i clean today.  wish i could hear you sing

EWB-Elaine. We sang that hymn on Sunday...... it always chokes me up. Every time. And to see you 'singing' it here is one of those "God-Winks" that gives me great encouragement for our sweet sister Saint.

I sang today for you Saint.  In the car on a 4 lane highway............but it was with a Neil Young CD.  It was for you girl.

Some yrs back I was having a tough time with the church/life/finding my way/my purpose in life. On Good Friday I went to the service, this was sung as we were lighting candles and I had a moment, very touching, moving. I often think of the hymn (sing/hum). I am here to do his work but I need help to know the direction. And ALWAYS hold others in my heart. Right now I hold Saint in my heart, I can not imagine what it is like to feel that tired and ill and wish I could do something to make her feel better. Saint you are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that each day be a little bit better than the one before.

I just spoke to Saint's dear teenage daughter (via FB) and asked how she's doing today. She told me that she/DD literally has not seen her for the past couple of days.

My heart just fell even lower.

Heavely Father. We watch round the clock for our dear sister. Knowing that she rests in your gracious care, yet wanting things to move on our time-table. I ask that you send reassurance to Saint and her family. I ask for glimmers of progress. I ask that her super-hero strength ebb back into her body.

Please have that crowd of angels at her bedside convey our concern, our witness, and our hope.

Watch over Saint's dear husband, who is shouldering the majority of the weight at this time. Keep her children safe and occupied, upheld by their circle of friends and the family at large.

I long for the opportunity to hear Saint's voice -- to have a report on what she's cooking for dinner, the latest recipe she's trying and the secret ingrediants she's located.

I ask that you work these circumstances together for good.
