Prayers, Blessings & Wishes for Saint

I've just gotten off of the phone with our sister, Saint. As many of your know she's been Stage 4 for five years and is currently undergoing rads to her spine. She has completed the first 9 treatments of a projected 12. I've just gotten off the phone with her and she's taking today 'off' of treatment, due to feeling so very poorly.

Prayers. We need prayers. We need good vibrations, and blessings and wishes and encouragement.

Tomorrow is her firstborn's high school graduation. As we spoke thru tears to one another, she says to convey that she fully expects to recover from this treatment. There have been many times in the past 5 years that she wondered whether she'd live to see this milestone. Now while poised at the very event, the beast is attempting to snatch that away.

We need prayers. He will graduate. She will see how tall he is tomorrow in his robe in their kitchen. She will hug him in his cap and gown. I just want with all my heart, for her to be well enough to sit in the auditorium and see him cross the stage. For his sake.

Prayer partners. Please pile on!!

Edited, cuz I tracked down the picture of the two of us from last winter. This was taken in Chicago..... Saint took the train in, to share in my event. She was given the nametag "My People" because she went to the wall for me, providing every sort of support imaginable. The pic was taken just before her departure to the train station. We'd stayed up nearly all night, laughing and telling stories. We'd spent 8 hours in the Art Museum together. I think the photographer captured our joy at having had some quality, sister-time.

Edited to add the outcome of the graduation: Saint was NOT able to attend the ceremony.

It's certainly not asking much Dear God, please allow Saint the dignity of watching her son graduate. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

God please give Saint strength to participate in her son's graduation.

Such a milestone in a son's life deserves his mother's presence. Please grant her that wish.

    God Bless you.

    Dear Heavenly Healer.

We come to you as your children. Eyes big with wonder and amazement. As we grow up we think that we have 'control' over our little lives here on your planet. It is such a shock and a slap to our faces to learn that there are many places, that despite our best efforts, we can't control.

I know that Saint is overjoyed with delight for having been graced these past five years, years of watching and directing the growth and development of her children. There's no one more grateful for gifts she's been given.

Infinite Healer, she knows that she has no control over the outcome of this disease, nor over the details of how the next 28 hours will unfold. She has given this whole situation to your hands. She has given it in trust and resignation to your goodness and kindness, to your grace.

There are so many verses where we are instructed to "ask, and it shall be given." On that instruction, I ask that you see your daughter Saint able to participate in her child's graduation. We glorify your name that their party has already taken place and that the family has indeed celebrated together, prior to this treatment's unfolding. Blessings held most dear.

These children have already had too many events where mom has heard about it, after the fact.

Let her be there. Let her witness this milestone. Let her cry. Let her exalt your name that she is there and crying. Let her sob great powerful sobs of blessed assurance that you've always held the 'control' and have held it keenly aware -- even when we are clueless as to the plan.... Your plan.

She knows and trusts in your mercy.

I am the child at the hem of your robe.

I am willing to beg on her behalf...... she's a much better person.

So I am here, begging for this occaision.

Thank you for the blessing of meeting and getting to know this heroine-in-real-life. I never thought that this beast could bring me blessings, but again -- I am wrong so often, in retrospect. Our sisterhood here, and Saint in particular, have added a whole new dimension and understanding to my little perspective. Thank you. As you knew, I am a better person for this portion of my story.

It is an honor to know her. It is an even greater honor to attempt to support her.

Please hold us up. Please hold her up. Please hold her up.

Please give her strength and courage.

    Strength and courage.

    Strength and courage.

    Strength and courage.

    xx00xx00xx00xx00xx

    Amen.

Saint. You've been focused on this milestone for soooooo long.

The event in unfurling at your very finger-tips.

May you rally long enough to appreciate what's happened.

Then may your rally buoy your spritis and body that all of those other milestones come into focus.

Keep the faith sister. Keep the faith.

I know that your sawdust stuffing has broken loose of it's fabric.

I know that you can't imagine being this close to the event, only to see the pictures.

    Keep the faith.

I just gotta believe that "all things work together for good."

Remember how many times you've told me that this fight is just as much mental as physical.

    Keep the faith.

Hugs, prayers and love for Saint. I pray with all my heart to God our father, that you are healed and able to watch with pride, only a mother has, as your son reaches a milestone in his (and your) life. I pray you enjoy the day.
