I have not been here for a while, because I am not all that "crafty", but got this inspiration the other day: Dammit Dolls, which you can google.
There is a cute poem that can be attached:
When you want to climb the wallAnd Stand right up and shout,There's a little Dammit dollYou cannot do without.Just grasp it firmly by the legs,And find a place to slam it.And as yu whack the stuffing outYell: Dammit, Dammit, Dammit.

NANCY found the most stress relieving doll that we could all make and they originate from our grandma's.

Good use for the extra scraps of fabric and all those buttons.
SPAR. The flip flops are so cute. You are so talented. Have a great time on your trip!
ARNIE. Your daughter is adorable. She looks so happy at her craft she made.
ELAINE. Thank Goodness. Prayers work.
I wish everyone a carefree happy long weekend. It's out to the Bay in a bit for us.
Big goings ons in honor of those who are serving and those who have served.
XOXO

OMG, sahalie - were we separated at birth..... LOL...
-
LeftyAK, you are cracking me up. Am going to have to make that doll. Love it.
Good thing I'd had my once a year pedicure or you guys would have been saying oh gross how could anyone have toes like that. My DH WANTS to give me pedicures but I know it is only to save money. So I get a special once a year and he does them the rest of the time. He is my angel and best friend.
Patoo, you will be glad to know I got several things on my to do list done today also am going to put all my medications in one of those little box things for 2 weeks so I don't have to tote all of it around.
I just want to meet EVERYONE. I wish I may, I wish I might, have this wish I wish tonight.
Everyone have a great day. Honor those who have given their lives for our freedoms and pray for the ones still out there fighting for us. My son gave 9 years of his life to his country and am so proud of him. He is still with the federal government.
-
Could be. LOL. That would be something. : )

-
Sahalie - love that doll - I really like the purple one too - probably cause she has the same hairdo I have!
-
-
hahahahahahah loving the dolls. We have got to try our hands at making our own design. That will be on my list of to do's upon return. LOL
-
starting putting all my buttons in a jelly jar with a handle and a lid, am going to glue an old red pin cusion on top since I have 2. Have some plans for wood works and paint when I get home, have ideas for a ceramic pot covered with everything from sequin, buttone, pins, old ear rings, jewels. beads, marbles. gonna make it real unique. Everyone keep up the good crafting. Can't wait to learn a bit about quilting.
-
those dolls come in all shapes and forms. I like the calico material with the strawhair and buttons.

Just wanted to let you gals know that even though I don't always post...I always stop by to see your incredible, inspiring creations and ideas... I'm walking in our hometown Relay for Life this Saturday... my dd has raised $2500.00 and am so proud of her. I will be walking during the luminary ceremony with my husband on stage playing guitar and my dd singing, "Cry out to Jesus" . I'm sure it'll be very emotional. Just wanted you to know that I'm taking some of you with me, see the pics below.

-
I imagine it will be very moving.
-
BEAUTIFUL ARNIE !
I wish I could be there with you. Ours is in July. What a proud Mom and wife you must be.
XOXO.

Our relay for life is next week.
About the dammit dolls. A couple of years ago at the annual Carolina Conference women's retreat the theme was dealing with stress and for the craft we all made the dammit dolls. We didn't do anything fancy with them, somebody had pre-made the dolls (cut them out with pinking shears and stitched around the edges leaving the pinking showing. We stuffed them and sewed on our ''yarn hair". If we wanted to we could draw on a face. I have given one to my husband to carry in his truck for when he is frustrated at the traffic or his dispatcher.

OhhhhhhArnie, I am so honored. Thank you. It is beautiful. I can feel tears welling up in my eyes just reading your post and seeing your shirt.
Sheila, did your DH use the dolls as ordered? LOL
Sahalie, will you be walking in the one in July? Boy that will be some hot tempertures.
Everyone have a great week.

So sorry if I left anyone out....I truly have enjoyed the back and forth with all you ladies!
Good morning crafters! I had my 3rd AC last Tuesday and haven't had a whole lot of energy to do any crafting...but still peek in here to see what you ladies are up to...
Hope everyone has a blessed day...
-
I had 4 dose dense AC, every 2 weeks and it sure wiped me out. One day of buzzing around like the Tazmanian devil, then 2 days of sleeping and total crash. About the time I felt somewhat normal, it was time for another round. The good thing, there were "only" 4 rounds of the red devil, as they call the adriamycin.
I am going to make an "Artful Bra" with everyones name on it. But it is gonna have to be one very LARGE bra... maybe I can find a 55 quad D.... LOL... I don't want to leave anyone name off. OR I just had a thought, one bra with A-L, another with M-Z names... Sorry I can't post pictures - yet, but I am working on that also.
Have a super duper day. HUGS, Nancy
-
Same here with the AC. It took me on a trip I never want to return too.
ARNIE Let us pamper you before your walk.

Indulge in nature, while we pamper you and remove the stress of everyday life.
An early morning massage not only relaxes with the exotic healing techniques but soothes
while you hear the water running from the cascades below.
Experience the natural healing energy * enjoy a wellness juice
while you revitalize in the outdoor Jacuzzi to be ready for your walk on Saturday.
Now * * * Relax
-
I am setting you up with a box of chocolates and a glass of wine after you finish with your massage and jacuzzi. Red wine to make your heart beat healthier and dark chocolate to make you have more healthy energy.
Have truely enjoyed getting to know you and talking with you too Arnie. Enjoy all you crafty ladies. Keep up the good crafting.

Last night I glued my red pin cushion on the jelly jar, and am keeping my buttons in it. Am keeping it on the card table that is set up for my jewelery making and can keep my needles for jewelry in the pin cushion. You guys have a crafty day.
-
Hey, that is my kind of flower garden. Love old junk from the past.
