Stephanie, I am so sorry you find yourself in this situation.
I really think it is time to blast your mother....surely she will have to listen and give you some love and hugs.
I am sending a great big basket of hugs to you...thinking of you,
Isabella.

To all who have posted.
I believe we can do more for Stephanie if we all work together!
Yes let's 1st pray for her.
2nd I think we should be proactive.
Does anyone have Stephanie's personal email or know her location?
If so we could contact the hospital and ask them about hospice care, chaplains at the hospital or local churches. Their maybe some one now on this forum that lives in the same community as Stephanie or nearby. Maybe we can send her cards, flowers and be persistent in getting her an advocate.
If you have any information about Stephanie's location maybe we can brainstorm a way to offer her more than our written support.
Any further ideas?
If people have them and are willing we can swap personal emails.
Thanks and blessings to all!

She has posted that she is getting treatments at Vanderbilt. So, I think she must live in the Nashville area. Glad you suggested this as I was thinking the same thing.

in my moms defense she is really tired. she helps me alot. I understand her not wanting to wait with me in the ER with sick people all around. Shes good to me and my kids. I was denied chemo today. my counts are too low. I sort of guessed it turn out likr that. My son and i are going to watch the nba playoff games tonight and pile into my bed with appetizers and noise makers and have a good ole time. just like we have court side seats! i don't even know who's playing but i'm for who ever tyler's for. also found out today that they fired the one vanderbilt employee that made my treatment visits doable. i hope they will hire her back and realize that she's a great asset to them and to their patients. i will share her story later. tired right now. God is able, stephanie

Steph wish you live near me. I would be such a pest and drag you over here or I would be there at your place and you would be sick of me. Try to refocus on this moment not on how rough you may feel but on how good you can feel shortly. I find myself on the rough days really working hard to not having pity party which isn't helping. God knows how many days we all have and we need to enjoy each day. I am praying you are pain free and for a healing. Not saying life is easy but we arw here to cheer you up and to keep you battling on. So START GETTING FOCUSED AGAIN KICK THIS UNWANTED DISEASE. God bless.

Stephanie,
I'm sending you peace, love and positive energy. Hope you had a fabulous night with your boy.

I'm so sorry you are having to deal with all this sadness. I feel as alone as you do. I see the "couples" in the hospital and I feel sorry for myself, that I don't have someone with me to share this burden. Sometimes though, I think it might be better this way. I don't have to worry about hurting somebody or someone sticking around because of pity. I haven't even told my Mom. She'd probably just send me a card. Some people just don't have the capacity for kindness or consideration.
I pray you have no pain. I really hope things turn around for you and you find some peace.
And, remember Stephanie, you are never alone. We are all here for you. We understand like nobody else can.
-
Stephanie, sending you many hugs and support. Heather

I am going through the same syptoms so you are not alone. Breathing is getting harder, hydration is important but hard to force. I have been back and forth to the hospital for a variety of serious problems but if we are both able to make a post, we are still here!
Do not feel alone, perhaps you and I can take the journey together. I am here for you!

Stephanie, my husband was not a hugger. I had to ask. So since this began, I gave HIM a hug and thanked him for helping. Got to be a habit and now he hugs me......!
