Hard to Breathe and Feel Alone
Comments

I have bi-lateral pleural effusions. Breathing issues are familiar to me. I hope that you know you are not alone.

I am so sorry for you that you are not getting love and support from your mother. It is denial. It is too bad for her to be wasting precious time and not showering you with love and compassion. I don't even know you but I feel love for you, I do. My heart is with you. Please take a look at the alternative board here. There is a lot of hope over there. XOXOXO

I am experiencing the same feelings for my half sister. Her hubby of 20 yrs is dropping her off for surgery and not staying... he will come in the evening and the next day. So for the actual surgery I will be there. This sister is a half sister, raised in a different home than me. Her 2 "real" sisters will have nothing to do with her. So sad.......

Stephanie I am so sorry you are facing this. But remember you are not alone. You have friends here and we are praying and pulling for you. As for your mother. Please give her your patience and continue loving and blessing her. If you could see inside of her mind you would probably be able to see that she is having a hard time dealing with this maybe much more so than you. As a mother her worst fears must be coming true. Parents are not suppose to outlive their children. Even though it not the right way. Right now its the only way she may be able to deal with this and that is by distancing herself from it. Unfortunately while distancing herself from IT. She is also distancing herself from you. Do not be afraid to tell her how you feel. How her distance is hurting you in this your time of need. But be strong and understanding if she does not understand. Forgive her and be strong for her. And we here will be strong for you as you have been strong for others who have and are traveling the same path.
My blessings and hope for you. And my faith that you will continue to fight this quiet storm.

Stephanie, my prayers continue for you. If I can help you in anyway please pm me. Hope today finds your breathing easier.
Hugs and prayers,
candie

Please know that you are in my prayers and thoughts. I know it must hurt about your mom but when I read it I remembered something my mom told me. My mom died from a stroke last year but when i was going through chemo she was with me for each treatment. She told me that it is really really hard to watch your child suffer (my mom was a nurse) and if I got even sicker she said she would have a really hard time being around me. I told her that was an awful thing to say and she said it was like watching a part of herself and it would be really hard to do. I guess her honesty took me by surprise. I think your mom is having a hard time watching you in pain.
I know others have said it but prayers do get answered and I know you have the lord in your life. We are all with you in prayer and you are such a beautiful person (evident from these boards) that you are truly cared about. God bless!

I know that breathing is very scary, I have a machine for my asthma and
a air purifier that helps my breathing some, I found my Mom passed away
a year on the dot they told me I had IDC cancer stage 3. No one was there I
drove myself to High chemo. Friend You are never alone with all the wonderful
people here and Your Lord and Comforter, You can come to the pray line here
I or others will be glad to pray with you. Gentle Hugs, Debbie

She was missing, and then reappeared for a week or so with all kinds of plans for parties and such, then vanished again. Very mysterious.
