    Yes and I loved it.  Ice skating too in NY Central Park almost every weekend.

    False. I did get to sit in the sun to wake up, one of my favorite things.

    The next person remembers those deadly adjustable rollar skates that we had as children. (Ever go downhill?) The rollar rink ones made it easy.

    Yes, I remember them.  All metal with the skatekey.  Never could get the toe piece quite right and if you borrowed one or a pair from a friend you always had to adjust it's length.
