Colloidal Silver for infections
Has anyone heard of this? I thought I would post it here because I read that it works even when other antibiotics don't and I know some women have had infections like MRSA after surgery.

I watched a show on discovery health just this last week and there are people whose skin turns gray taking colloidal silver because of the silver content. All I am saying is be very careful about what you take and how much. This is the second time I have seen a health show and saw these results.

I thought you just put in on the infection site externally. My Dad had a severe burn which they thought might need grafts. They gave him Silvadene cream which helped him heal nicely and he didn't need the grafts. I was thinking it might work for some of these MRSA infections. I don't know much about either thing but it's always worth looking into alternatives if the standard stuff doesn't work. The other thing that I had heard about is certain types of honey that have antibiotic properties.

Mu daughter had a severe yeast infection on the back of her neck, we tried every cream, powder, and other conconction the Doc perscribed and NOTHING worked, we battled it for 2 years. I finally tried colloidal silver on it and it went away! Tami

Silver is a natural antibiotic. Years ago, prior to pasteurization, farmers' wives used to put a silver coin in the bottom of pitchers of milk, in order to keep the milk from going bad.
I have a MRSA-type staph infection in my lung, which I have managed to keep mostly at bay with silver. Colloidal silver is too large for your body to assimilate, so it collects in your body, causing the skin to turn gray or blue, if you use large quantities of it. There are liquid angstrom silver particles which are readily-assimilated by your body, and will work better because it can get in where it is needed most. What's not needed is flushed out of the kidneys. It can be used internally or exernally. I have a brand that I am partial to, but you can google "angstrom silver" and find several sources.

Hi Floridian,
I've been using colloidal silver, externally, for years. It's an antimicrobial, and has cleared up numerous infections in myself, my child, and my cats (they have herpes, and are constantly getting bacterial infections in their eyes--the silver clears it up very quickly). When I'm sick, I'll drink it, as well. I only ingest small quantities--if you do that, I don't think there's any risk of turning gray. One story that was on the news (I think it was the Today Show) about a year ago showed a man who turned gray from drinking colloidal silver. He was, however, by his own admission, drinking huge quantities of the stuff.
As far as honey goes, that too is antimicrobial. I slather it on my face, daily, and as a result, I have fewer blemishes (acne) than I used to. Manuka honey may be the type that you've heard things about. A couple of years ago, the FDA actually approved the use of Manuka honey for burn victims. This is the type I use on my face, but I used to use local, raw honey, and I'm not sure there's any difference, as far as my acne is concerned (Manuka comes from New Zealand, and I find it to be much more expensive than my local honey).

Hello All, I too have used both the Collodial Silver water as well as the Manuks Honey and have to say both works and Yes inordern to turn Gray/ Blue you would have to drink tons of the stuff. To use Silver like an antibiotic you would take like a tablespoon 4 times a day, too use it as a healing property externally you poor it on a couple times a day and Yes it does work. the Honey from New Zealand is also used by the onco docs in Wales as I have a friend there who like me has breast cancer and sends it to me as it is cheaper there. I had never heard to use the honey on my skin for blemishes but, will give it a whirl.
