Deb-  Talk about frustrating!!!  So sorry to hear that news!  Keep that chin up and we'll be here to give you (((((((hugs))))))))))) when you need them.  I just can't believe they didn't do frozen sections to check on the margins when they had you open! UGH!    I'm lifting my cup of coffee to ya Debs.

What a wonderful blessing all of you ladies are. Its like a feast to come here and read all the things happening in each persons life and the stories you guys come up with. Who knew something like bc would help you to meet new friends.

The yard sale went great but the fun part was at the end. We had already taken the signs down but two more cars drove up and when they asked the prices I got to tell them it was free. They asked me to make sure about 3 or 4 more times but finally realized I really meant free. My rule is once I get it out for the sale it doesn't come back in the house. Then what they didn't want went to a place that gives things to people in need. It was a very nice way to clean house.

Coonie it is a rewarding job. I love being with people, always have and this really gets you to the heart of it.

Shiny how about we all come over and help you with that cleaning and you can fix us some of that fancy buckaroo tea and some cake (yummmy!)Smile

Seltzer sending you hugs that you will be back on soon too.

Deb you sound like you have a sweetie for a hubby.

WOW!! You ladies were busy today.  I just speed readed (I made that up!) the past 3 pages.

Deb - Better safe than sorry, they will get clean margins for you!  Sorry you have to deal with this again.

Barbe - You are truly amazing!  I'm so sorry to hear about your DH.  I had no idea.  All this and you still have a smile on your face and manage to put smiles on all of our faces.  May God bless you!!

Hello to everyone else.  88 degrees today.  Soccer practice at 8 a.m. little league parade at noon then baseballs opening day, morotcycle ride, uncovered boat from storage, yard work, draining my pool for a new liner Monday......it goes on and on.  Now you know why there weren't any posts from me today.  Another 88 degree day tomorrow!

Deb, sorry you probably have to have a re-do, but better they get it all out.  Good luck.

Went to a local "mystery dinner theatre" tonight that is put on by a bunch of my friends every year to raise money for their church.  It's always hilarious, seeing a bunch of my neighbors having their annual chance to be thespians!!  Got to listen to my girlfriend playing a Russian figure skater in the most ridiculous costume (pink feather headdress with braids fastened with Mickey Mouse barettes) do a really, really bad Russian accent!   It was great fun, as usual.  I confess it's about the only time I actually go to church anymore, but I went to Catholic school for 12 years, so I had enough church from that to last a lifetime.

    Night-night, ladies.

Lori ~ take it easy - no cleaning - just posting allowed!

Barbe ~ keep us up to date on the DH, we can add him & his kitty litter to our prayers too!

Deb ~ Best to go back and let them get it all out sooner than later right?

mom2two ~ We too are prepared for a yard sale.  Problem is we live in such a new subdivision that we wouldn't get any customers!  So we have to haul everything to my in-laws & have it over there!  I wish I knew someone that was expecting a baby girl & I could sell all the baby stuff at one time.  I have everything from newborn to 18 months, including the toys!  Oh well - cheers to you to have it over & done with!

KAK ~ Sounds like you had an awesome time!

KAK & Makraz ~ I too did the catholic school thing.Surprised

I was having a lot of pains last night & today in my chest from my fills.  Pain so bad that I had tears in my eyes!  It took it easy today.  Decided to upload & edit all of our digital pics.  Ended up having a little over 400 printed!  Feels good to have an empty memory card.

Gentle hugs to anyone I missed!  Off to try and sleep.

I am so far behind reading and I got sidetracked by the margarita. Looks yummy!

Another Catholic girl here although I didn't go to Catholic school.

Prayers for those who need prayers. Hugs for those who need hugs. And smiles for those who are having wonderful weekends. I had a nice day today. Low key, but nice. I did order one option for headware for once my hair is gone. I still need more, but I'm happy to have at least one thing on the way. It's a start. I think I will get several wigs. What the heck. Different lengths. Different colors. This could be fun.

    Good night ladies!

Hi Everyone.  Sharon you are up early,  I thought I was...  Last night at 1:30 am the apartment building fire alarm, sirens, lights flashing - went off.  I was still dressed since I had gone to bingo and decided to write out some bills before I went to bed.   I then grabbed my purse, cell phone and vacated the building.  NO ONE else came out or even looked out the window.   After calling 911, it only took a couple of minutes till the fire truck arrived.   They discovered a broken breaker box in the main electrical maintenance room or whatever you call it.   Still NO ONE else came out.

So, this morning I called the maintenance hot line and the woman  wanted to know what a broken electrical breaker meant.  When I told her I had no idea, she asked me that was an emergency...  I then told her that I am not an electrician, but I think maybe YES... and I was calling to let them know about the alarm going off.    Geeze, IF it set off the alarm, would you think maybe it was not "normal:???

I am having lunch/bruch with my chemo buddies and maybe some retail therapy.   HUGS,  Nancy

Geez Nancy! I guess you'd be the lead in the headlines in the newspaper the next morning, eh? Was everyone else out? Or passed out?

I saw Faith dancing with a goldfish! Sooooooooo cute.....Laughing

Linda, there are NOT enough hours in the day today for you to do all you want to do unless you started yesterday.

Deb, chocolate, with your non-node side to lift it. So sorry about the margins....sigh.

Cathi? Are you awake from the party yet? Even home from the beach? Hmmmmm?

Still got your garage mom? You done good!

Big happy hugs to one and all, not doing housework together is such a fun diversion.

Thanks Barbe. "Goldie Goldfish" is the first song that I ever wrote/recorded. It is still a very big hit with the wee ones -- as you saw demonstrated. Those children were 2 and turning 3 and at one of my special needs sites. The fact that they were responding at all was a minor miracle. I just got a message that the director of the center is going to use that very footage for a presentation that she's making this weekend. BIG Smiles.

KAK is attempting to help me figure out how to get the video transferred from FB to my blog.

KAK... I think the problem is that I don't have the original footage in the 'right' format?? I kept getting error messages when using the help method. Of course it was late last night when I was attempting to be a techo-queen.

    Techno-infant here.

    Everyone have a fantastic day.

Flash. I miss you, too. Somehow my laptop (as it decays and ages) has 'lost' the Java something that it needs for me to get into chat. So I must focus my addiction here instead.

Squeekie-cleaners, Flash could be a personal coach. She used to get me up and moving forward all the time.

Better go hit the showers shortly. I have this last event today and then I can head for home.

((((((((((((((((((gentle hugs)))))))))))))))))))footprints that all is well and the weakness is only temporary.

faith wish you could put the song up here, my 9 year old loves to go around singing and I'm sure she would love to hear it.

flash, you and dream are two who helped me make sense of this diagnosis when I first learned I had bc six months ago. Big thank you for the chat time that helped to calm me when I first came to this site. Wonder if you realize what a blessing you are to so many.

Barbe tried to sell the garage but then they wanted the house too and well since we still needed a place to live we had to pass on the offer.....Wink

A little bit about my son, the house cleaner.  He does a whole lot of things.  He has a restaurant he does some cleaning for once a month, he told me because it has to be done up high and he has big ladders.  He also has regular apartment house owners whom he cleans carpets for and others he cleans carpets and furniture.  Also he does remodeling; painting, most any kind of repair work, installs cupboards.  He does new construction:  carpet laying, tile flooring, wood flooring, most anything except drywall.  He does outside work:  tree trimming, landscaping.  And I've probably forgotten a bunch of other stuff that he does.  He is all self taught.  He likes having his own business.  Best of all, he lives right around the corner from me.  Well, a long country corner.  Close enough but too far to walk.

ME.. one boob, no hair.. dating!! I had a fantastic dinner date last night with a nice guy... ok.. he's a cute guy too. nice & cute. I am honestly NOT sure how I met him....ok, yahoo personals...but he is actually real, genuine, not a faker as most are online. Anyhow, it was like a true old fashioned date.. he picked me up.. yes.. he has big strong arms..hahahah. Sorry.. just a joke! He opened the door to his truck. He PAID for dinner. We talked up a storm. We went to a club and did some people watching and a LOT more talking...so far so good!  Then he brought me home.. and I invited him in. Hehe. That's all I'm gonna say. We will be going out again.

Faith, I just want everyone here to know that since I've been trying to figure out why I can't get your video to download or upload properly, I've been going around the house singing, "Gol-die, Gol-die Goooold.  Fish...."   I had a good friend years ago who was a children's librarian and had a weekly sing-along at her library where she'd play her guitar and lead songs.  So, then, I'd have "The wheels on the bus go round and round," going round and round in my head all day!  LOL

Good Sunday evening dust bunnies!! hehe I liked what Flash said ----------"dust bunnies unite" That's a good one Flash:)

Barbe your story about the stale bread reminded ME of a long time ago when my DH and I were first married, there were some ducks that lived in a pond across the road, but on Saturday mornings we got to feeding them bread and they would come over to our yard on Saturdays. Well, one Saturday, we slept a little later, but heard this quacking outside the door. The DUCKS wanted breakfast and we were late!!! I'll never forget that. Animals are smarter than we give them credit for sometimes.

Arnie where do you get the cut pics that you post? I like the animation kind. Oh, and I would love to see your back yard. It sounds like mine. I was raised in the country too, but married and moved to the city, but I have alot of "stuff'" in my back yard. We have a wooden fence around it, and a pool, but I've got lots of things planted. I just went to my mom's today and dug up some crepe myrtles to plant in my yard. That's so neat about the hand plow. Do you have anything growing around it?

Mom it sounds like you had a successful yard sale. If the idea was to clean out your house, then you were able to get money for some and give the rest away. That's a great idea, and I'm sure the people who got the FREE stuff was DELIGHTED!!! Sounds to me like you have quite a few points banked!!!

Makraz did you do soccer all weekend. My DD used to play in high school. It's alot of fun. Kids love it and it's great exercise. Of course, frito pies and hot dogs were good too:)

KAK it sounds like you had a good time with your friends. I'm so glad you're able to enjoy your time....it's such a relief when we hear "good" medical news, isn't it? Kinda makes me want to go out and buy buy buy!!!! (lol)

KMC so glad to see you back posting again. That's one big drink. If you drink all of that, ummm, well, you might not be back for awhile again:)

((((((((Footie))))))))))) I'm so so sorry you're having a time. Those doctors need to get you straightened out, or maybe you DO need to find another doctor. I'll be praying that God leads you the right direction for your caregivers. That's so important and you need somebody you can trust.

2new1s I would love to see some of those 400 pics. Post 'em on here so we can all look:)

MaryRose sorry, but now that's what I call you (lol)....Where did you order from. I wore alot of hats during chemo, but mine was from Dec thru March. I couldn't imagine going through chemo in the summer. The wigs just felt HORRIBLE on me. But it seems like anything you put on your head in the summer is gonna be hot. But it's just temporary and next year at this time, you'll look back and see what all you accomplished. (((((((((((hugs for you)))))))))))

Sharon do you always get up with the roosters.....or with doggus?? lol Hope your weather is still nice so you can enjoy your walks with doggus....no sludging through the snow:)

Nancy! Goodness gracious!! That sounds like a scene from a movie!! Seems like something needs to be looked in to around there, huh? Hopefully, lunch out and some retail therapy made you forget that night forever :)

Cathi girl are you still beaching it? Weekend's almost over......ya better get home, get some rest and ready for work toooomooorrooowwwww

Faithie I'd love to hear you goldfish song and some of the others too. Oh, wait, does my DD have it? uummm I'll have to check on that. I do go to your blog and looooooove looking at the pics. Those kids STEAL my heart. OMGoodness.......they look like they are having sooooo much fun. It looks like you are too......hehehe

Cheyanne your son sounds like SUPER MAN!!! Wow, maybe you just should have listed the few things that he CAN'T do:) lol.....it sounds like he's on the ball. I'm sure he does very well for himself with so many skills. Well, as a matter of fact, there's alot of those things you mentioned that I need done.....I have seen a sign up around our town that says "RENT MY HUSBAND", but I'm a little afraid to do that.

Caligrl you went on a date?? Is this the guy from Louisiana? You HAVE to wait for the guy from Louisiana!!! Don't get serious until you meet the guy from Louisiana!!! Louisiana guys are GOOD guys!!! Go slow!!!! lol

Shiny girl you sure do stay up late, don't ya? How are you feeling? I can't remember the last time I was up past, uuuummm, let's saaaay....ooooohh uummm... probably 9:00 PM Surprised Yep That's right.....that's my bed time. But I do get up early. I like my quiet time in the mornings:)

Lori, Seltzer, Deb-Ohio hope you ladies are taking it easy.....no housecleaning.....for you too Arnie...even during treatment, you gotta be good to yourself

BTW, I forget who mentioned making something that we could wear to identify each other.  Sharon??  Not sure.  I was just looking at the BC.org gift shop.  They have a necklace with their logo on it (the ribbon in a circle).  It's kind of neat, but of course expensive.  It would be great if we could get the ribbon made into pins or sterling necklaces, something that doesn't cost 200.00!
