Our Escape

Hi Coonie - Maybe I could stop by and bring the gifts to the shower for you. A shower with lots of women sounds kind of nice. Barbe, do you mind? I promise I will leave my boys at home! It's always all men all the time in my house. Too much testosterone!
Checkum - thanks for the Good Friday wishes. I hope all of your celebrating Easter have a wonderful day. To those celebrating Passover, I hope you have(had) a great day too.
-
Makrez - love the name of the boat. A friend of mine had a funny name for a boat... he put
"Don't panic" upside down.... LOL
-
Great name Checkum! We had a hot air balloon in our area once that had a basket on top so it looked like it was flying upside-down. Caused quite a bit of a panic, I think they were banned.
Makraz (Linda?) Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I love it!!! That is a riot! Don't panic!! Too funny. You're friend certainly has a sense of humor.
We use our boat in NH on Squam Lake. I absolutely love it up there. I grew up as a Cape Cod girl, which I still love, then was introduced to Squam at about 20 and have spent a few weeks there every year since. It's beautiful and I love the Loons!
Good luck with the 3 day. Some year I will do it too. It's still to new for me to do it. I cry everytime the commercial comes on TV. How sad is that. I'm on FB too and have several other "sistah" friends from BC.org.
Last weekend I helped with a 3 day walk yardsale. Someone needed to raise the money so they had a yard sale and asked for donations. Nothing had a price on it. We let people walk through, pick up what they wanted and make a donation on the way out. She had such a great turnout and made a lot of money!! Best of luck to you.
-
Yes, Barbe, it's Linda, but on other threads there are a couple of Linda's so sometimes I'm Linda, sometimes I'm makraz. Makraz is just MA (that's what my kids call me) and Kraz, the beginning of my last name. See how creative I am??? See you at the shower!
-
add me - Cindy Houghton Good idea on the yard sale --- I have a few ideas.... I am bound and determined to do this. HA! today I am going to start WALKING as I have alot to do to get there.... it is beautiful here today.. Hey if you are up in NH we should get together and do lunch!
-
Checkum - just send you a friend request. It's easy to dind you when you use the same picture. I do too. I am having computer problems, no power cord, so I'm on the computer sporadically. I just ordered a new one (power cord) last week, it arrived yesterday and was broken. Not very happy. DH brought home his laptop for me to use for the weekend. He says I'm an addict. I am!
-
join the club .... my husband told me they should have attached the laptop to my hip in the hospital LOL --- he gets a bit frustrated sometimes when I don't give it a break
-
Sharon/Coonie (((((((HUGS))))))) work really gets in the way of fun.... I have missed you gals!
-
Ohhhhh hey Checkum!!! Work is a bummer!!!!!!!! Hey, maybe we could all take a cruise. I know Sharon won't fly, so maybe a nice cruise ship......
-
Well, silly, she has to fly to the port! Been there, done that. The doors are very heavy and the floors are slanted in a lot of the areas. All for water flow, just in case
-
hehe Barbe.......I guess we'll have to drug her to get her on da plane
Put a little something in her milk like they did to Mr. "T"......you ever
watch that show?
-
Don't worry ---- I'll pick everybody up... no planes we have HORSEPOWER!!!
-
OK gals---- I'm going walking have a great day!
-
Have a great day Checkum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Checkum, good to hear infusion #2 has gone much better. Way to go girl! Boy, can you share the contents of your exercise trial? I sure could use one of those. It'll get you in shape for that 3 day walk.
Hi to all. Coonie, you wrap presents beautifully!! I'm impressed.
-
Heck, how did I miss this last page? Did someone say flying? OMG!!!!!! Even one of those ships kinda scares the bejeepers out of me. Could someone pick me up in the Escape? I can get myself down the the St. Lawrence seaway and that goes out to the ocean. I'll be good to go.
-
My 'escape' today was a nice long motorcycle ride with my DH.....no kids!! I think that's why I love the motorcycle! Now if only the 4 boys weren't sleeping over tonight. Maybe I'll find tonights escape in a martini.
-
My escape today is my bathrobe.
It's 3:15 in the afternoon and so far today I've managed to take a shower and eat a bowl of cereal.
(Well, I also took my DH to the airport @ 5:30 a.m. Somehow when he made the reservations, he obviously was not clued into my schedule nor the reality of Easter.)
It's lovely to allow myself to unwind. Completely.
Will have to read back at some point.
Checkum. So glad to hear that the Z has been delivered in a more manageable style.
Happy to meet all of you other Escapees.
-
I am motivated..... I signed myself up for the 3Day walk in Boston in July --- now I just need to raise the cash... I am telling everybody I know. You can donate to help me online at:
http://www.the3day.org/site/TR/Events/General?fr_id=1170&pg=pfind
Enter my name: Cindy Houghton
It will bring you to the donation page... there you can setup a donation. I will be walking with all of my sisters in my heart!
THANKS! -
Way to go Checkum!!!!
-
Jo--
every $$ helps -- I have gotten some REALLY generous donations, but I will take whatever someone wants to give. It is a pretty lofty goal to get the $2300.00 minimum, but I am pretty driven, plus I am asking people to pass the link on to all in their email lists.
-
checkum - Do you know Karol from NH from BC.org? She was looking for some fundraisers to do awhile ago. VERY nice lady!! maybe she'd be interested in walking with you??? Not sure. If you want to get in touch with her, she's one of my FB friends. Check out my friend list for Karol B. Good luck!!
-
awwhhh I have escaped----maybe nobody will find me
