Housework is over rated and it could kill you so why take a chance?  I used to be such a clean fanatic but as my body deteriorated (way before bc) I decided it was not a priority.  My Dad was in the army and when I was 10 years old we were stationed in Germany.  I learned to clean from the German women and when I tell you they can clean, I'm not kidding.  I still don't feel like a floor is clean unless I get down on all fours and scrub it!  Now, if I got down on all fours it would take a crane to get me back up.

    Have a great day ladies!

Have  a good linner, Nancy. I hope you are feeling better today.

It's a rainy miserable day here too.  At least it makes it easier to get the housework done.  I just vacuumed all the bedrooms and the main floor of the house.  Clean the master shower.  Not fun. Walked the neighbors dog in the drizzle.  I figured I should get that one out before it starts to pour!  I don't like wet dogs!!

    Mom2two,

just sending you the best vibes for your daughter's pj party tomorrow. Doesn't sound like you need the vibes, sounds like you've got all angles covered, should be great! I can't wait to start organizing my 5 yr old's next party in June.

Wish we had a Walmart here, whenver I am back in Canada I always return with a hockey bag full of Walmart bargains!( I actually have a sparkley pink tropical scent, like you mentionned, that I keep in the car to freshen up before the school run after I've been scrubbing the house. I am SURE it is meant for a younger client group (am 41), but it works for the girly girl in me, so there. Anyhoooo, I need a "perdy" scent fix before meeting all the mums at school!)

Makraz,is there ANY lego left in your house? It's sooo hard to keep those little pieces out of the vaccum. I am not keen, but when ever my mum in law comes over, she brings MORE!

I sorted the kids playroom.. well had a good go. Got rid of more Little Tikes stuff and changed all the beds. Bone scan came back "more degenerative stuff", yeppi... pain and tired but, gratefull.

They are putting me up for a trial of acupuncture to releive longer term after effects of chemo. Sounds interesting. Any of you had it?

I shall declutter more and keep a check on your posts.

top quality bestest vibes coming your way!

    All my best, Shiny

Well, Spring Break is almost over and I got most of the work done!~

The kids all went thru all their clothes, I got rid of 12 bags of clothes (yes you read that correctly!!) and 3 bags of shoes. Boy does that feel good.  Also rearranged one kids room, becasue a friend is coming to stay with us for a few weeks. Still need to clean house (regular stuff) but that will happen tomorrow before softball practice and laundry is ALL CAUGHT UP!!!

Hello to all and yes I am pooped to but it mildly.  8 and 9 year old girls are extremely loud but lots of fun!  We danced and sang and crafted and ate and ate. Now its time to put mommy to bed for a nice nap. That is at least for an hour, then its off with hubby to a function at the college where he works.

Barbe my brother is a missionary to the Dominican (although his home is here in Kentucky). He met his wife there and is forever trying to get me to fly down and see the work they do. Its grown into a huge ministry and he arranges for doctors and dentists and other medical teams to go down and help out those in need. They also build schools and homes and just try to make life easier for the people there. I am not a traveler anymore but wish I were just to see the work down there.

way of talking about cats that enables one to come off as the same person." I didn't get alot done in the house the sun was out in Washington. (shock) so I went out and did alittle outside. I love to but pay for it later(lymphedema) But I love gardening.

I worked my paying job today! Nearly quit it too...worked 10 hours with NO BREAK!!  Then I picked up my 1st ex husband from the airport....and he's now my houseguest. Strange...really strange...he's now sleeping in my basement. We went out to dinner this evening...him, me, our 2 kids. We laughed and laughed. I need to get a lot of housecleaning done tomorrow...it's piling up quickly. gross-O!!

    barbe...love the new pic!!

footprints...I'm a real cat person. My 3 cats are like my babies. They all curl up on my bed at night. I LOVE that.

Wow! Lovinmomma...you did GREAT!! Getting rid of all that 'stuff' must make you all feel lighter.

Ya gotta ask me that after I just lit one up?  and that should give you your answer....LOL..I do plan on trying again but think I will wait till I find out my surgery date...Thanks for asking!  and I did do housework today ladies, just so ya know! I did dishes, and made the bed!

Best part of the day was meeting with Gandl and LuAnnH off this board today for lunch. Gandl (Lori) is from Missouri and came into town today for a funeral, I had to laugh when we found out she used to live here and went to the same High School as me ! She was 3 yrs ahead of me so we were there at the same time....small world...and LuAnn just lives like 35 mins away from me... Both really sweet and awesome ladies!

Deb-from-Ohio ~ I agree with you, when you are ready to quit, you will be able to conquer it!

So nice that you were able to meet friends from here in person!  I tried joining the thread with the people from my state and they didn't take me on in their "clique".  So I just stopped posting in the thread.  Oh well.

Deb - I totally didn't got the vibe they didn't want to read or cared when I posted.  Never responed to what I said or anything, so I just stopped posting there.  Maybe because I was younger?  Who knows.  But what I do know, is there are way too many other kind, friendly ladies on here that are fun and like to share - so I am all for that!

Oh, I should actually change my screen name to "1new1&1on-the-way".  :)  I have one TE doing great, up to 500cc's on my 3rd fill.  The other TE was removed due to a staph infection.  So waiting a few months to see what PS can do.  Looking really awkward now - left foob awesome, right side- caved in.  I wear a lot of black to camoflage, not that it really does, but I try.

We are going to dinner at my DH's cousins house tomorrow.  Meeting people I have never met.  I am already in a panic over what to wear!  I am thinking of stuffing the right side. ?????  My DH says "Who cares?  They know what's going on, it's not like they are going ti lift up your shirt!".

hmm can't help you there, I haven't had surgery yet, and when I do, I'm getting a lumpectomy. I had a cat scan last week, they couldn't find the cancer but still have to have the surgery and radiation...I had chemo first...and your husband is right! Who cares what others think? It is what it is. It's not your fault and you cannot help it that you had to have surgery...I'm sure people will be looking, but let them look! You're a survivor so hold your head up high!

(((((((hugs)))))) Coonie, you bet, I love the Walmart Experience sooo much, especially after 18 years in the U.K!

When I got in on a visit to my mom, I actually march up to the C/service desk and say "Hi, we don't have a Walmart were I live,so just so you can relax, I AM going to take a suspicious amount of time in each and every departement and yes I will probably come back 2ce this week, but, i am not planning to steal anything, just to buy loads,as am a fan." They need to know that otherwise, i'd have security on my tail the whole time!

Ok Ok, i have had a stupidly little amount of sleep again last night (pain), but had 2 teas a coffee and whipped the play room into shape this a.m. I actually got my DD to got through her books and put the "babyish" ones in a pile to give away. Whew, feels great! (It's especially important to get that room good, as it is in the middle of my open plan ground floor.)

I am actually considering adding some flowering plants in there, oh my! my 2 must be growing up, if I think I can do that. Maybe i'll start with "plastic or straw" flowers and if they don't tumble , then I will go for the real thing!

Mum, bet the pictures from the party will be great!

    Barbe, nice pic!

It's 11:45 Sat a.m here, so time to plan lunch for the kiddywinks.

    Bestest wishes to you all.

Thanks for the feedback on the avatar guys! My hair is actually tucked behind my ears, but I think I've lost some weight on my face so had a new one taken.

2new1's, now don't get offended, but I immediately got a vision of your husband's cousins being rednecks sitting around a trailor park. You walk up and an uncle goes wooooeeeee where did you get that one darling? You tell him you bought it. There will be a dead silence around the table and then you explain that you could either afford two small ones or one big one and let your husband decide for you! Here's your card...................

barbe, I laughed out loud from the visual...   Too funny.   You could wear a t shirt saying "under construction".   I mean no respect or malice, since I "only" had a lumpectomy.   I found a pin that say " stop looking at my tits ", for when I wear my Breast Cancer Sucks sweatshirt.   So far I have only worn the sweatshirt and NOT the pin.

Was it here that someone suggested a pin so we can recognize each other?   The Red Hat ladies have one that is indeed a hat.  We could have one that is a bra design.   I don't think many would be "offended" if it were tastefully done.   Then, get a bunch of us BC ladies together and how do you define "tastefull"....... LOL...

Good thing I am a widow or I might have ended up divorced.  Not sure any man could put up with me with my very weird sense of humor going thru this.

I have coffee, the sun is out, I changed purses - had too much in the one and found a few dollars stuck down in the zipper compartment.   Have a super duper day.   HUGS,  Nancy

I would not worry about what you wear.  I finally ordered a mastectomy bra and foobies.  For the time being I'd rather go "au naturale" but to date no one has stared at me.

I like the idea of a t-shirt that says "Under Construction" a lot.  I could also use a hat that says that too because my brain is constantly under construction.

Barbe, you definitely lost weight - your face is thinner - I, too, like the new avatar.
