Just found this thread...Have to say I LOVE it!!!!.......I just went home to Kentucky for a solid week due to a sister who was terminal...She died the day after I got there..........Huuby was home all week alone......Did he do any house work?????.....NO.......And to top it all off I came home with a nasty upper respiratory infection and amd just now able to clean...What a mess he left me with!........On top of it all I work 40 hrs a week........Hubby and DD are no help.........But at least they can't complain if it is dirty......I am so thankful for all of you and your helpful hints........
So.....today I cleaned and vacuumed my dining room amd living room....I also did 3 loads of laundry...Last night I got the kitchen cleaned back up.........Tomorrow I guess I will try to do some more laundry .......Does it never end?????.........LOL I love you guys!
-
Hey good morning Hollyann...........and welcome to the group!
The others will be along shortly, I'm sure. There are some awfully nice ladies here and we just encourage each other during the day. Sometimes,.....well, sometimes, we TALK about cleaning more than we actually CLEAN
. and some days we work like the Bionic Woman!
We have a saying around here that you can "bank" things that you do. And I think it was Barbe that said, just getting out of bed is "one thing"!!! So....we're not too hard on ourselves:)
Hope you enjoy it here. So sorry about your DS ((((((((((hugs)))))))))

After my DH informed me a few days ago that he had "cleaned" the refrigerator after spilling the bowl of homemade chicken stock that was in there, and that he had no idea there was so much room under the crisper drawers, I knew that a thorough refrigerator cleaning was going on my list of things to do.
It is done, even the door shelves are clean, and I only found a couple of things that were actually still covered with goop from the spill, or beyond their expiration dates.
The weather seems to be clearing up, so it's time to do a little more spring garden cleanup. At this rate by the time I can plant annuals, in a few weeks, there might even be places to put them!
-
Welcome Hollyann! And yes, the laundry NEVER ends!!
-
Welcome hollyann!! its noon and i'm still in my flannel pajammies...BUT... i'm taking care of a sick DS...so that counts as ONE. LOL
-
Cali - That counts for 10! Bank them!
-

Hi Ladies,
I got more laundry and ironing done. Yeah!!
Walk on the treadmill too, which I didn't enjoy so I'm counting that as work.
Vacuumed the kids playroom again. I think I accidentially got rid of hundreds of legos! Opps!
I made honey chicken terryaki and veggies. Going out with the girls tonight so I'm leaving the dinner for the boys.
Pam, you're making us look bad!! Slow down!
-
3 loads of laundry done....multiple phone calls.......
Welcome Hollyann
Caligal hope the fever brakes soon
Anymore ideas on the pins? I think it would be great.
-
Ok ladies.....I just have dusting left and then I will be COMPLETELY done with housework for today!!! Laundry is done too! Have any of you ever tried the steam mop by Shark? I have one, and it sure makes mopping sooooo much easier. I feel that it's really getting the floors clean too.
Hey, I haven't seen Barbe here in awhile. And where is Mom??? She must be getting ready for the big party!! Bless her heart. I think she'll have thousands of points to bank after that!!
Hey Denise, phone calls add up too..........I'd say at least 100 points for banking.
Pam....it's good to see you're doing around some. Feeling better? I hope so.
Linda....now that's a good mom to prepare a meal for your family before going out!!! Me---I think I would just say, you know where the milk is and you know where the cereal is
Stacy....hope DS is feeling better. That crud is going around all over the place. Me, my DD and DH are all on antibiotics. Must be getting through the computer lines somehow
Hey Pat...it DOES sound like you're getting good at cleaning our the refrigerator....maybe you can come do mine too
I don't THINK anything has been spilled in there in the last, uuummm let's see.....6 months hehe
I think it's now time to take a break. Hope you ladies have a wonderful afternoon!
Happy Cleaning !!
-
I'm here....sigh. Just not funny right now so I didn't want to post.
-
Barbe,
So sorry you're not feeling so good today. Must be something in the air, first time in a long time I was sick this AM, tired, achy. Blah. Prayers that things look up soon and you're feeling better.
Elaine
-
Barbe - I hope you are feeling better soon. I truly enjoy and miss your wit. If youneed some cheering , think about your comments regarding colon cancer. Made me laugh for days, actually still laughing about it! Take care and feel better.
Cathi - we miss you too. Any news on Jacky? Still keeping you all in my prayers.
-
Not sick, just life stress. I'll be okay.....I always am. Thanks for the good wishes. I PM'd Cathi to see if everything is okay but she hasn't PM'd me back.
-
Barbe...hope you're feeling better soon.
EWB...hope you, too, are feeling better soon.
So I've been sitting here filling out the Interrogatories for my divorce. This is such bull shit. I want to say..."NONE OF MY STUFF IS HIS...I OWNED IT BEFORE WE WERE MARRIED!!" I feel like I'm spending money to defend MY property against his snake lawyer...when he has NO rights to any of it. Jeez. jerkwad!!! I can hear the dollar signs dinging...none of this is worth it!! So stupid!! Can't a divorce be simple? Why fight over used furniture? I'd much prefer to just throw some of it at his head and say..."THERE.. are you happy now?" Sorry ladies...just ranting.
-
Hugs Barbe.
-
(((((((((((Barbe)))))))))))) (((((((((((((Elaine)))))))))))) ((((((((((((dream)))))))))))) ((((((((((((((pam))))))))))))
Hope all of you ladies get to feeling back up to top notch. We need your funny ideas, smart ideas, or just an idea............in other words WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YA'LL!!
(((((((((((((((footie))))))))))))) my friend footie passes through here sometimes too. She's a real trooper.
OK...do any of you wish you ever had one of these? I know I do...
Oh yeah....very special hugs to my Canadian friend (((((((Sharon)))))))))) hope you're feeling better this evening lovey....eh?
-
Maybe Aunt Bee can split up and work at each house for a week....you know, just go from house to house. I think I could handle that. There just arent' anymore Aunt Bee's around these days
-
I'm back (at least for the moment). Still have so much to get done for the party tomorrow. Right now we are hanging long strands of beads and other strands with large butterflies down from the ceiling in dds room. The colors are pink, key lime green and pink, some purple too. Lots of sparkle for the big daytime pj party. I found some popcorn boxes that had a party theme on them with the right colors and I stuffed them with matching tissue paper and now we are filling them with little toys and candies to give out at the end. Even found some great smelling body spray at Walmart calle Sweet that has sparkles in it so when the girls spray it on they have the sparkles remain after the perfume dries. I am having so much fun. Had to just stop and thank the Lord for the joy of getting to be here for this.
We had to move the computer around to get the rug shampooed so it was out of commission for a day or so and can I tell you.... I MISSED YOU GUYS! So glad when it got hooked back up. Coonie thanks for posting the Welcome, it was fun seeing new ladies join us too.
Cathi, don't make us have to go all the way to Florida to find you.... cause we will, won't we ladies. We will just have to march down to all that sunshiny weather, cool ocean breezes, white sandy beaches and check on you.
Barbe you don't have to be funny to be here. Just be here ok.
Well have to go back to real man's land again. Will pop back in as I can. Keep the clean going! (or at least the fun
)
-
mom...sounds like it's going to be a great party! The body spray with sparkles sounds great...I think I might go get ME some. I already have a Cotton Candy scented body spray.. i smell like candy when i use it. yummy
-
You will like it then Cali cause it does have that kind of cotton candy scent in a way.
-
The news ask which house job women dont mind doing. The answer was vacuum the house.
God bless all of you that are having a need to have a hug week. Hang in there, We are together threw this. God loves you and so do I, PS I got my washing and kitchen almost all clean. Hugs, Debbie
-
Guess I was worn out. Got home around 4:00 from Herceptin and MUGA scan and konked out in the recliner. Postponed dinner with my son till another day. Hope this doesn't mean I will be up till 4 am. No house work got done, and I don't think any is going to get done.
Hugs and Blessings, Nancy
-
You rest Nancy Herceptin and Muga scan count for major bank points here.
-
Good night Friends
-
Welcome Holly
Did nothing today except go to funeral of friend who had heart attach last week. Got up early got dressed and luck like a real person all day! That is an accomplishment. I also filled out a daily report for SSI. They want to know every detail of mylife in an attempt to get some assistance.
Good night, going to do dishes and go to bed. SO stayed in the bed all day again today, but at least the sheets are now clean.
-
Wakey wakey --- TGIF. Good morning everyone.
I am up and at em. Coffee is ready, one load of laundry in the washer. Gotta make up for yesterday's slacking off. My bones ache, per usual, from the Herceptin, and it is raining.
My sweet son is taking me to "linner" - late lunch, early dinner - on Sunday, since I was too exhausted last night.
-
Sorry about your friend Pinky.
Well I am up, but not at 'em. Going to finish my tea and head back to bed for a while. Supposed to have company for supper tomorrow night........yikes!!!
Yep, send Aunt Bea over here ASAP thankyou.
