Its nice you noticed Coonie, I've been trying to get things together for dds birthday on Friday and it seems everytime I try to pop in here by the time I read the posts someone is needing me to do something and I never get to post myself.
I took dd clothes shopping a couple of days ago. Its like wrestling alligators to get her to try things on. How can a female child hate shopping so much???? If I took the easy route I'd just let her go sans clothes to avoid the hassle. Hopefully it will get easier as she gets older.

Ok ladies.. you've all been so busy today. I admit to doing NO cleaning at all today. I did, however, see my surgeon. I got my ex-boob drained and debrided. No pain at all...but about 400 cc's of fluid came out. I also saw my onc today. He wrote the script for tamoxifen. I called around to find the cheapest price....ranged from 180 dollars to 24 dollars for a 90 day supply. WOW!! What a difference!! Then I went grocery shopping and out to lunch with my 17 yr old DS. THEN... i met my other cancer friend at TJ Maxx for some retail therapy. She was hungry, so we hit the taco bell for her lunch and a big dose of cancer causing diet pepsi for me. Then on to Old Navy for more retail therapy. When I got home at 4:30 i was beat! Guess the boys can have something simple for dinner. Bed for me tonight will be early early. Maybe I'll try to get some laundry done before. OH OH.. I forgot...CUTE purses at the TJ Maxx. I almost bought one, but resisted.

Ooooooooooo Speaking of Purses, I have a friend who has a rich Father...Last year he sent her a Dooney and Bourke purse for her birthday..Being nosey that we are, we looked it up, he paid $275 for this purse. It's beautiful too black leather, shiny silver on the shoulder strap, anyways, a few weeks ago, she says "Do you want this purse? I'm going to get me a new one"? I looked at her like she was nuts, cuz she takes excellent care of her stuff and the purse was still in brand new condition, I said that's an expensive purse, she says well I used it for awhile because I would have felt bad if i didn't, but I want to get something I want..........so she GAVE me the purse...it's now my pride and joy. I would never spend that on a purse, I have a hard enough time spending $20 on one! LOL
Hugs

Candie how did your test go?
Cheryl hugs and praying for Mrs.A to be a thing of the past soon.
Debbie nice seeing you here and will follow this with offical welcome as well as everyone else who hasn't gotten one yet.
Cathi and Dream where are you two? You are missed. Please phone home......
Cali girl that was alot of fluid they took off. You needed a day of shopping but isn't it just about more exhausting than housework!
Having the carpet people in tomorrow to deep clean the upstairs getting ready for the party so have to go get hubby moving things to prepare.
-
Deb I think maybe your rich heavenly Father wanted you to have a purse too
I don't think things like that are coincidences, I look at them as blessings. So glad for your good report too. Waiting to post your next smoke free day, you can do it!
-
Deb, nice gift of the purse to go with your scat result - I think they were right, no coincidence, was meant to be to make your days brighter!!!
Fever is finally normal today, still working on banning the ol' girl from my life, tho. She is one who like to just hang on. my doc says he didn't want to renew the antibiotics (he had me on them for 5 days and we all know the over doing of them is what makes this actually worse) and since they were draining, he wants to wait to see if all is okay by next visit monday, when I get next tx.
so . . .
not much happening here today, still running low on energy, need Mr. Sun to get me going ... where is the spring???
Son came by with his friend, that was something I did. not used to stop bys. live alone. was nice - the visit, not the being alone, lol. we started to watch the move re the two grown men who sitll live at home and their parents get married - didn't finish it yet, they ended up having to leave, short visit. that's my son, ants in his pants.
Green tea, haven't brewed loose tea in years. best tasting tea. will have to look for some again.
thanks
-

HI ladies,
Good Morning!! Cloudy day here, hope the sun comes out. It's 24 righnow. I want warmth!!
I just spent the past 45 minutes picking up Legos from my sons playroom. They are so tiny and we have SO many of them!! I vacuum them all the time and don't even realzie it until I hear them going up the hose!
Hope you all have a nice morning.
-
Still need to dust here. Anyone want to come and help?
-
Baked a little something for everyone so come on in and after you have a little bite to eat, grab those dust rags and join me picking one room to tackle today.
-
Oh here's some coffee to go with it.
-
I saw that battery operated spinning duster on TV the other night. I wondered if it just scattered the dust or created a real dust storm. Lots of those things sound too good to be true and usually are. Instead of a robot vacuum, I want that purse that does dishes and laundry and cleans the bathroom, LOL.
I am by passing cleaning today and going to play bridge. I have all I need to make lamb patties (which are tasty, low fat,and I had a craving for them) except the energy and motivation to do it. Maybe when I get back. If anyone feels like cooking, I am happy to teach you how I make them !!! I used to teach Greek Cooking classes, long long ago. Learned from my Greek mother in law and aunt in law - who were basically illiterate and never wrote down a recipe.
One more cup of coffee, check the other threads, and off to shower. HUGS, Nancy
-
Well I'm having a go at my bedroom today. Having the carpet cleaners in and had hubby to moved the bed into another room so they can have more rug to clean. Found ebay stuff I had forgotten about under there so now have more to list or maybe if the weekend looks good may try having a yard sale. What are you all up to today?
-
I wont be doing any cleaning today. I think Mondays little cleaning spurt did me in. Yesterday I had No energy. So will take it easy today.
I have a terrible headache - So going to try to stay away from the PC & not read to much.

I got up and started a load of laundry...it was the one i was supposed to wash LAST night.ugh. Then I'm off to the pharmacy to pick up my tamoxifen. I'll probably check in here before I go to my OT appt. Maybe I'll even get that laundry dried and folded.
Congrats Mom2 on getting those carpets cleaned...feels good to have them looking new again. I'll take one of the raised glazed donuts please.
Lefty...I think that spinning duster will make a dust cloud..IMHO. Bridge sounds fun, so do greek cooking classes.
Makraz...We have legos here too.. grrr. And...It's 28 degrees here...supposed to warm up to 50 by 4 pm. BRRR!!! At least it's warmer than yesterdays frigid windy 32 degs.
Footprints... welcome to the group!
Stacy
-
I just cleaned the microwave. I hate doing that!! Made beds too. Now I'm off to through some laundry in.
It's so gloomy here today I would rather crawl back into bed and just dream that I'm cleaning. Actually, I have better things to dream about! Someone send me some sunshine!!
-
Ok.....here's a little sunshine for those who need it...
This song is really special. My daddy used to sing it to me all the time
He passed away 9 years ago at the age of 60....way too young
OK!!! On to more positive things.......HOUSECLEANING!! wooohooooot ... since I've been working this week, my house REALLY looks like a tornado came through. The clothes have been having "babies"......clothes are stacked up EVERYWHERE. Do I'm gonna try to make a dent on those today.
It's so good to see all of you here!! Hope you all have a wonderful day. I'll give a progress report in a few hours
((((((((((((((((((hugs to everyone))))))))))))))
-
Coonie - So sorry that you lost your dad at such a young age. Way to young!! My daddy used to sing that to me as well. Sometimes when I sleep over his summer home, he will still sing it to me!
-
Hey to all of you tripping over those legos, just save them up, they sell real well on ebay!
-
Coonie and Makraz....I used to sing that song to my oldest DS. Now, when I sing it to him it makes him cry! Oh YES!! He just can't help himself....reminds him of when he was a baby. (He isn't crying cuz I'm a horrid singer.. LOL..so don't even think that!!)
Stacy
-
Wouldn't it be nice if we were all real life neighbors. Then we wouldn't have to worry what the house looked like cause we'd know each's others house looked the same
We could just invite each other over anytime for coffee and rolls and not worry if everything was tidied up or not.
Do you ever wonder when youre out and about if you maybe are passing by someone who you may have talked with on the boards? Wonder if we'd all be friends like we are on here? Sure hope so, but bet we spend so much time being what we think others want us to be that we forget to be just who we really are. (did that make sense???)
Ok enough with the thoughts time to get back to work.
-
Ohhh Stacy!!! That's a sweet story about your DS. Makes me want to cry too
Mom----I've thought the same thing. I think we would all be great friends. We could all live in the same little community:) On the same street!!! Oh....your breakfast looks delicious...I'll be there in a few minutes......hehe
Awwhhhh Mak...neat story about your dad too. Enjoy that song every time he sings it to you:) I don't want to be a downer....but my dad passed away suddenly in his recliner one morning while my mother was out running errands........heart attack. It was such a shock to all of us! Wish I could hear him sing again. Maybe some day
-
Hugs Coonie.
-
This was posted on the cute thread once, but for those of you who are just gonna lay around today (Pam)....you've got someone here to join you
Thanks Sharon
-
Oh coonie..what a shocker to your mom (and the rest of the family too) to go out for a run and come home to that. OH my. I think I'd have lost my mind! Ironically...when my DH still lived her and "loved me"... hah...I always thought there was no way I could live without him if something happened to him because I loved him soo soo much. WTF!! I am clearly going on well without him.. i'm happier than i have been in a long long time actually. I can't imagine what it's like to lose a parent. Mine are healthy at the moment....only mid 60's and doing well...at least it looks like that on the outside.

Hey Stacy.....it was a shock. My mom still re-lives that day in her mind. I guess the reason I'm so full of memories today is because it's their wedding anniversary. Would have been married 47 years.......married on April Fools Day
My dad always did have a sense of humor (hehe)
-
((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))))))) Coonie. But what a wonderful thing to know you're dad loved you and left you with such a sweet memory. You too Cali.
-
Good morning ladies,
Coonie, you are a lucky lady (little girl) to have had a father be so loving to you. And you, too Cali,
Always treasure your memories.
Just woke up. actually for the second time. was up at 4 a.m. then crawled back in for a bit more shut eye. Coffe this morning, already brewed, grabbing one of Mom's donuts and deciding what I'm going to do today.
Canceled my ps appt. figured just for a fill, that can wait till i'm feeling better than I am now. Getting there. Looks like dishes are on my plans for the day so far, think they get busy during the night and multiply ...
seems to be more than there was last nite
