Good morning everyone. Is it 6 weeks since Ground Hog Day yet? Brrrrrr this morning - 39 degrees. I paid bills last night and will balance the check book today.
-
Morning Nancy.......it's cold there, huh? It's supposed to get up to 75 degrees here today, but I think there is a 90% chance of rain....uuggghhhh..
have a great day!! Maybe it will warm in during the day for you!!
-
63 is forecast, so I just have to wait a bit. Good thing is I do not have to be out and about till later. Everyone have a great day.
-
Coonie - My oldest sons bus comes at 7:05...yuck!! I hate getting up early. My other son is eating breakfast now, his bus isn't until 8:15, a much more respectable hour!
Sharon - Are you in Canada? You must still have the heat on, I know I do. Heat makes dust so I say......NOOOOOOO!!! Do not dust today. What till the weather is warm enough for the windows to be opened and then you can blow the dust all over the place!
I have some shopping to do this morning and then more laundry until the tornados come home again!
-
Elizabeth- That is Wonderful News!!
Happy Last day of March. it came in Like a Lamb Here...So out like a Lion - Ugh. LOL. Freezing rain & Snow.
I actually was able to clean a little yesterday!! My 'Dot' is normal finally! LOL
I did 3 loads of Laundry.
And Cleaned off a Big Counter downstairs in the family room. Dh even noticed!
I will probably Vacuum today & work on the 2nd Counter today.

Good Idea Linda- dont dust until the heat is officially off...Then open windows create dust though- Right?
So you may as wait until fall...Oh wait- heat will be back on...
Why dust!

Good morning everyone! I so love to sign on and check on my housecleaning friends
Going to put a pot o java on ... maybe tea, haven't decided yet. Yes, it's way past6 weeks since ground hog day, he's late, have the sniffles and a cof this morning. Mrs. A is definitely smaller, woo hoo! easier sitting down today
Will be gathering garbage from the little room cans while my morning brew brews.

Pam, the open windows gets rid of the dust but lets the pollen in. It's a vicious cycle! The pollen gives the dust mites something to eat when we close the windows again.
Time for a shower!
Linda

Back from shopping. Where is everyone? Did I miss another birthday?? Let me know if I should take the day off!
-
It's gotta be someone's b'day! The dust is so bad here it's showing and the sun isn't even out.
I seem to be taking the day off........but shouldn't.
-
Hey, Linda, I'm here, too, catching up on my email, etc. My birthday in April 10th, by the way, and if I end up getting a robotic vacuum cleaner, I'll let you all know!
Love all the purses. I'm a bit of a purse pig, too, but I LOVE shoes, as you can tell from the avatar. Elizabeth, congrats, by the way, and it may interest you to know that the red heels in my avatar are my recent "negative mamm" shoes, which I bought earlier this month after having my first post-op mamm & seeing my breast surgeon for a check-up. I was so relieved, I wanted to cry, but I did the sensible thing instead & went shoe shopping!!
Deb, how are ya? I'm sorry you are still having such a hard time.
Dream, sweetie, nice to see you here, too. Some of you know I just did a weekend seminar for PTs & OTs on rehab for us BC patients & I'm in the process of completing a competency study in lymphedema treatment. Dream, have you been seen by a rehab therapist? When I learn a little more, I'll pass on anything I think might be helpful. There's a lot to learn about treating LE & doing the wrapping the right way for a person, so it's not something that any nurse or even any PT can do without some training.
Mom2mom, you are too funny with all those purse photos! I love the photos of Kentucky. OMG, can I come down & visit you with my camera some time??? I love horses, too.
Linda, BTW, you can always take the day off!! LOL
-
Got the results of my CatScan.and............................................
THERE IS NO SIGN OF CANCER ANYWHERE! Still gotta have the surgery tho.
and radiation but they said even my lymph nodes are fine..........wooooooohoooooooooooo
Love and hugs
Deb

Yay, Deb!! and BTW, I'm an ex-smoker, too, so you hang in there & keep trying. The thing that finally worked for me were non-nicotine/non-tobacco cigarettes. You can order them from http://www.nicotinefreecigarettes.ca/ . The great thing is you can keep some around forever so if you get a craving, you can some one without re-addicting yourself & then your craving passes & you're fine.

Oh Deb---FABULOUS news!
I am off to pick up a bag that I had brought in for repair a long time ago and forgot. Perfect for this time of yr.
Happy birthday to everyone...its someone's birthday somewhere
Makraz- how is the weather up your way?
-
GRRRRREAT news Deb!!!!!!! Hugs.
-
Why do you have to have surgery if there is no cancer? I don't get it?
-
Because as she puts it, there are cancerous cells that are so small they don't show up on images...believe me, I tried to get out of it..........:) She wasn't having any part of that.....asked her why my breast was still swelling up and hurting, she said that could be due to hormones, fibrocystic change, blah, blah...........guess will find out how much was in there soon enough...........or how much was left!

Great News Deb!
When is your surgery?
Gosh- Im not sure where the day went. All I have done is load the dishwasher & ....The day is half gone.
As Much as I hate snow....The snow we got was Awesome. The Flakes were the size of 50 cent Pieces!! dd took some pictures...I will see if any of them show the snow good.
its Aprils Bday tomorrow! Everyone gets the day off- I almost fooled you. LOL
Pam
NED 1 year tomorrow.
-
deb-from-ohio ~ If doctor thinks you need the surgery, I say if it were me, I would do it. But that's just my opinion of course. How's the no-smoking going? I know you confessed to having some.
No cleaning done today. Just picking up after 22 month old DD makes all her little messes everywhere!
Trying to decide how to cook chicken breasts that I have thawed. I was going to grill them, but it's pouring rain! SIGH
-
Pam, how are you feeling?
2new1s........I'd bake 'em.
-
Sharon52 - I do have Shake n' Bake that I was considering. Maybe cutting the chicken into strips, so they would be more like chicken fingers. I was so looking forward to grilled chicken w/ bbq sauce!
-
2new1s, you can bake them and brush them with bbq sauce as they are baking.
-
Great idea ~ I will do half & half. DS doesn't like BBQ sauce, so I'll do some shake n'bake, some BBQ! See I knew posting my dilemma here would help me!
-
Lolol, and so.........what time is dinner?
-
Sharon51 ~ Dinner is always at the same time Mon - Fri @ 5:30 pm! Come hungry - also making plenty of side dishes! LOL
-
Thx 2new1s, bbq sauce for me please.
-
Sharon51 ~ No problem but, DS is 16 and has a hearty appetite, you'll have to be quick to serve yourself as he'll eat everything in sight!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
-
Wow, just caught up with all your news! Oh myyyyy, so much goes on here, and..so little at times! hi hi.
Fabulous and such a laugh! Looove all the pictures Mumtotwo, OMG your part of the world looks devinely beautiful, and I love the sparkly pics, always. If I go back will I see a post on where you get them from? I must learn how to do that inserting thing, when I have had more sleep.Lots of good news to celebrate and acheivements on this thread.
Does selling £100.00 pounds of kids little tikes toys on ebay count as a job? I did scrub them first and did a near "all nighter" finishing an appeal doc for my son's special needs. Best part is I HAD to go through loads of paper stacks in office to find 1 doc.. of course, it was in the very LAST stack..God's way of helping me clear up? Still, chucked out loads, which felt great.
Not very exciting but I'll try to do more tomorrow..still waiting on Bone scan results and feeling decidely wooooped.
xxxx and best vibes coming "across the pond"

Great news Deb!!
Thanks for the day off Kathi. Make sure you remind us of your birthday. I'll be looking forward to another day off!
ewb BREAUTIFUL weather today!!! I'm loving it! Took a nice long walk too. I'll be back outside soon playing a gameof ball with the kids! Dejaboo....you can keep the snow, enough is enough!
2new1's - You must have it really tough to have such young ones going through all this. I really feel for you!
Nana - hope your feeling better. Is your fever finally gone?
I emptied the dishwasher again. That's one thing. Oh yeah, a couple loads of laundry. Too nice to clean, I'll do that later in the week when it's supposed to rain.
Ciao!

Makraz- delighted to hear! We are having lovely, watm weather today, showers possible on & off for rest of the week.
I took shower today, applied makeup and actually paid attention to what I was putting on, matching earrings and necklace (thats huge for me). Went to shop to pick up bag I brouhjt in last July for repair. They hadn't called because tag was seperated from the bag. Oh well, got it back and its ready to go, well, maybe after I try to clean it.
Also found shop (think starbucks for tea) where they sell loose tea! I was sooooo excited. Bought decaf green and green pomegranet tea. Kettle is on as we speak (or type).
I'm done for the day.
Be well ladies
