Moody/Karens daughter Olivia

Karen - I hope that the appt goes well and that it is just something routine -  very strange that the nurses wouldn't let you see the paperwork - I can't imagine that they'd have written something about what the suspicion was - or what level was off - on the bloodwork order -  know I'll be thinking of you and Olivia tomorrow morning and will be a fly on the wall in the doctors' office for that appointment tomorrow.

Try to push all those negative questions out of your head and focus on the good ... and on the possiblity of finally knowing what is wrong with Olivia so that she can get better.

Praying for some ANSWERS tomorrow.  Sometimes the answers are tough but you cannot fight whatever the beast is until you get answers - so we all eagerly anticipate hearing about the appointment tomorrow.

Went to the doctor today. He said that her lab work was abnormal for the PT/PTT whatever that is.  But it is something to do with her liver and coagulation of her blood.  He wanted to see her to do a physical exam to be sure she didn't have any abnormal bruising.  She doesn't, which is good.

The HIDA scan we had done at Scottish Rite showed a "clump" of predominant blood vessels in her liver, but the report stated that it wasn't enough to make a "clinical diagnosis".  It is STILL doesn't mean anything now, but it could be a piece of the mystery puzzle.

So, he wants to repeat the same blood work in a few days to see if there is any change.  He is glad he was able to get our appointment at Wake Forrest moved up to April 6th.

We are to monitor her nose bleeds and if she has another one tonight or tomorrow night, then he wants us to get the blood work done asap.

And now we wait........................

Prayers are with you, Olivia and the rest of the family. I pray that the right people are in the right place at the right time to come up with the answers and create a treatment plan. I pray that Olivia continues to hang on until this is figured out, may she continue to find support and strength from God and her family to get thru all of this. I pray that you, dh and ds continue to care for yourselves so that you may be strong for Olivia.

Sounds like the puzzle pieces are beginning to take shape.

I'm praying that the border of the puzzle is assembled shortly and then the rest of the pieces will start falling into place quite rapidly.

Karen, I'm hitting the road again, and may not be tethered to this cyber place much in the next few days. Know that I will continue to pray, the old-fashioned way.
