Yeah, good for you!  You go girl.  I thought about it. LOL.  I should probably start thinking about starting something for dinner.  Maybe I can get him to bring home carryout?

I vacuumed again.  Like I do everyday.  Had 6 boys over after school and they kept running in, then out of the house.  Now we are in the mud stage so the house is messy again.  Oh well.  Now off to prepare dinner.

You think YOU have a fabric addiction! Mine was so bad I opened a quilting store in 1998!

It closed in 2003 and I now have a sewing room in my house that I ALSO keep the door closed on. One of the cats started using it to shit in. It turned me off my projects and new sewing machine so bad I haven't been in it for a year! So sad......sigh.

Phew...I got my internet fixed. Seems my wireless router died and left me without a connection. I bought a new one today and my DS got it all working again. I missed you all very much.  Seems like I missed out on the Roomba and the Scooba...so like the house cleans itself when you're gone?? That's like a total miracle!! OMG!! (sorry ladies...I used to be a valley girl, oh my god, like totally, for sure).

I'm working my day job again tomorrow....only 8 hours! Oh that just kills me.. ONLY 8 hours. I was dog tired on tuesday when i did an 8 hr shift. My back hurt, my feet hurt, my everything was tired. TV dinner in the microwave tired. I'm hoping tomorrow is better. I decided i needed to get back in shape physically, so today I bought a Wii Fit. I know with it sitting in the box I wont get in better shape...so tonight I am going to set it up and try it out....while doing laundry.

    Barbe-I have about 100 Boxes/Large containers of fabric...I could open a store.

That must have been fun buying fabric for the store.

    Nice Litter Box.

You should go in there & sew!  That new machine is feeling very neglected.

Ok- I switched the sheets to the dryer- LOL

I feel very sad that I am neglecting my creative side. I took up photography, but it's not the same. I got to sew 8+ hours a day! It was heaven. And to buy fabric wholesale....wow!

The cat we think was doing it has been put down last Spring. OMG I just realized it's almost TWO years since I've been in there!!!!!!!!  But now one of the other ones has been crapping under a table in the living room and now TWICE beside my bed??!! WTF!!!!!!! Back to closing the bedroom door so no one can sleep on mommy and daddy's bed while we're not home....We figure this one will just take over in the sewing room if we open the door. Damn fur babies!

Stacy - I bought the Wii fit for myself for Christmas.  My kids love it.  I watch them use it while I'm on the treadmill.  Someday I'm going to learn how to use it.  The Wii is set up in the finished  basement, the kids room.  In order for me to use the Wii fit, I need to pick up thousands of Lego's, K'nex, GI Joes...you get the picture.  By the time I'm done cleaning their stuff, I don't want to learn how to use it!  Let me know how you like it. Like, I totally hope you do.  For sure!!

    Hi Makraz,

    (hi to all too!)

Just to say, with all the tidying up you do of the kids toys, it sounds like you got yourself a decent workout right there! Stretch and pick up,bend and sort and bin and breathe,exhale..and strechand whew!  You might want to add a few wrist weight straps to maximize your efforts etc and maybe put a mini trampette in there but you must be getting some bennefit!

Going for a bone scan tomorrow and silly loads on until Tuesday, so I am thinking, with a little luck, rest on Wednesday am followed by more kitchen and spare room sorting pm....and hopefully no extra "excitement" for a while. hoping for a boring week.

    take care all

Hey Wendy, I am in the same feeling mood as you about the house,  I used to be a obsessive /compulsive cleaner, everything everywhere organized by size, shaep etc, every hanger had to be in the same direction in the closets same with silverware, etc, etc,. But now its not that I don't care, its like is that really important, and I would stress myself out over it all.  No more, now I still like things neat, tidy and as clean as possible, but I have come to realize it's not the end of the world if soething has a bit of dust on it. The only thing I have not stopped doing is bed making, thats an absolute MUST for me, out of bed, bed is made, can't break that one yet.

I am not a fabric junkie, but like many I am a shoe junkie, when I went into an office everyday, its was ok I wore them all,  now they just sit around and collect dust, but still its so hard to pass by a new style or color, I think I should dust and organize my shoes Thursday.

    XOXOXOXOXOXO -Cathi

    Shiny,

I do get a lot of exercise from cleaning and from taking care of the kids.  Today they had lots of friends over and I played baseball with them all,  The other kids always think it's funny that I play with them.  I have always loved playing basketball and baseball and still do today.  Thank GOd spring is here!

I just got back from a walk with my neighbor and her dog.  I will be taking care of the dog for her during the day while she works extended hours.  "Annie" is an older dog but loves to go for walks.   So when I take my noon time walk, Annie will come with me!  Some day I would LOVE a dog, but for now, I've got enough to deal with.

Got to go and throw another load of laundry in!

I would love to walk the dogs for you all!  Coonie - I had a dachshund as a child.  My favorite dog in the world!  Her name was Munchkin.  Boy, I miss her.  Someday I will get another one.

I also love to cook so when I'm done walking your dogs, I will get dinner ready for you.  I wonder if I could make a business out of that.  Dog walker, will make your dinner too.

I'm done cleaning for the night. Is 9:10 here.  enough is enough. Everyone else needs to quit too.

You don't by any chance live in the Bawston area do you?

Someday I will open a little shop that sells meals to go.  The only thing that the very small town I live in has, is a train station  that takes you to Boston.  I want to open a small shop there and sell good homecooked meal and desserts to all the commuters.  Doubt the town would let me open, but I can dream.  My town is so small we have no post office, no supermarket, no fast food, nothing really except a library.

Wendy couldn't remember if I'd you'd posted here before and too tired tonight to scan back over all our post but wanted to give you an official welcome to our group. We work a little, chat a little and have lots of fun. Something that seemed pretty unlikely a few months ago for most of us. I so appreciate each one that comes visits with us, love it when you stay, so here's your official greeting from all of us.

    THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

I kept seeing the thread name and finally couldn't resist logging in.  I could not stop laughing and some of the posts really made me feel better.  I keep thinking, "it's a good thing I don't have any little kids".  Our son was home for spring break and I found myself actually cooking a real dinner every night.  DH remarked that son should come home more often.  I was exhausted when he left.  I am so in awe of each and every one of you that gets up and goes to work, both inside and outside the home, while dealing with cards you've been dealt.  Sometimes I feel like such a wimp.  I have to keep reminding myself that 8 surgeries within 2 1/2 years is not something to take lightly and as much as you want to "keep going", it does take time to recover, both emotionally and physically.  You are all heroes in my book.

Well as someone else wrote, to keep this on track with the cleaning thread, maybe I'll go throw in a load of laundry.  Really early this AM, like 4:30 am, one of my kitties decided she wanted the straw out of the glass of Pepsi sitting next to the bed.  Next thing I heard was "glug, glug, glug" as the pop dripped down on a pile of socks that were waiting to be put in the drawer.  What a way to wake up!  I hit a light switch, grabbed a towel and started mopping up Pepsi off the carpet, throwing the wet socks in a pile.  DH awoke, wondering what the heck was going on, while the kittie stood there looking at me, wanting the straw.  I do love them but I just remembered I have a pile of socks in the main bathroom sink covered with varying degrees of Pepsi.  Getting them in the washer sooner than later would be best.

Have a great evening everyone and thanks again for the welcome.

    Blessings,

    Wendy,

omg...what a riot reading these posts.

Liz,I love the pic of your angel on the laundry...how comfy and precious.

Mom, I just loved the "How to clean your room". I felt like I actually cleaned a room after reading that.

Linda, I used to always make pizzelles in my younger days...for family parties and all. Now, I buy them at the supermarket. Arrange them nicely on trays, sprinkle powdered sugar on them, do the cellophane and ribbon wrap and than lie and say I made them...lol...aren't I terrible!

Oh, the machine has to be good and hot first and I always ruined the first few.

Cathi, I will pray for good results for your DD.

Shiny, best wishes for your bone scan.

Sun, lol on your cat and the pepsi. I have always have cats...right now I only have one.they play with the darndest things, don't they?

After work today, I had to volunteer at my church for about an hour. Then I came home, finished cleaning out my kitchen cabinets...got rid of some stuff..gonna donate it.Then I went back into spare bedroom and did a lil more cleaning.

Thanks to all of you for being my inspiration to get some long overdue organizing and cleaning done.

    Have a good night's rest.

    Hugs and prayers

Well, I went to work yesterday so my husband could do the kitchen dishes I didn't want to. My arthritis is killing me as the year has been damp. I actually take narcotics for the pain and had to take TWO at work yesterday. Wasn't stoned by the time I had to drive home, though....

Barbe - glad you made it home.  I laugh every time I read your posts.  Thanks for always entertaining me!

Wendy - cool catch, it's drinks Pepsi!

Candi - I went and bought them and am planning on adding the powdered sugar today along with a nice tray.  I was brought up by VERY Italian parents/grandparents and we ALWAYS made everything homemade.  I still do most of the time.  I just couldn't see spending anymore time or money on trying to make them for a bunch of 4th graders who will probably hate them, or use them as frisbees.  I know how boys think!

Now off to cleaning up the kitchen mess from the boys this morning.  Pancakes again, all over the place!

    Good morning ladies!!!

Hey Wendy----welcome!! It seems that kitties love cups :)  These two seem to have gotten the straws out to make it more comfortable for them:

Hey Candi...........good to see you here too.

I really have to get some work done today. I worked all day yesterday (at my job) and didn't do a thing when I got home. Sooo....I'm hoping to accomplish a few things.

I admire those with small kids too. I don't see how you're able to do it. I don't think I could have taken care of small children while I was doing chemo. It was hard enough just taking care of my 20 year old, husband and 2 dogs :)  Well, actually, they took care of me:)

Hope you all have a blessed day!!! Will report in later with my list of accomplishments :)

Shoot I have nothing on my list...Why?  Cause all the easy stuff is done.  Grrr.

I will maybe do more laundry- We are very behind in that...Thats still relatively easy.

I could put going through fabric back on my list.

Pancakes sound Yummy!  Chocolate Chip Ones?

Good morning ladies.  I'd like to join you but am worried that one actually has to do housework to join????  I am the world's best procrastinator when it comes to housework.  I do love to cook though.

Maybe today I'll do the windows.

Sharon, you are too funny! If we were actually doing housework, our computers would be off. Now read back on some of the posts and get an idea about the "rules". I'll help you out a bit. You only have to do ONE thing a day. For some of us, getting out of bed may be that one thing. (read back a bit to see what is said about making that bed once you get out of it.)

Have some fun with this and eat chocolate.

I'm a few years out of tx other than arimidex so I've not got much of an excuse.  I should be coming over and helping you gals clean...........but don't hold your breath.

Speaking of which, maybe I'll clean the fish tank.

Good morning ladies.  I am having another cup of coffee and reading your posts. It is raining, so I think that qualifies as an excuse not to do much, right???    There are things sitting on chairs, sofa and "the table",which I plan to put in their proper place today.   It is what grandma used to call "redding up", like "ready up for company".   I rarely have company, so that is not a motivation for me.

I have fabric to make neck coolers for the troops, which I have done in the past.  I also give them away when it is hot and muggy out. Only thing is I need some strong (handsome) man to get my portable (weighs about 60 pounds) sewing machine out of the closet and onto the table.    Whew,I am tired just thinking about it !!!
