The future is not a result of choices among alternative paths offered by the present, but a place that is created created first in the mind and will, created next in activity.

The future is not some place we are going to, but one we are creating.

The paths are not to be found, but made, and the activity of making them, changes both the maker and the destination.

    John Schaar.

    Time passes real quickly.

May we find the courage within us to go after our heart's desires.

And when the time comes for us to look back at our life,

may we be deeply grateful that we've led a life that has purpose and meaning to us.

"For to his angels he has given command about you that they guard you in all your ways.  Upon their hands they shall bear you up lest you dash your foot against a stone."

O God, the strength of the weak and the comfort of the sufferers; Mercifully accept our prayers, and grant to thy servant the help of thy power, that our sickness may be turned into health, and our sorrow into joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

    amen

When frustration over the inability to get something right the first time is about to kick in.

Instead of looking at mistakes as signs of failure or unworthiness, see it as the path you must travel to achieving success.

    Be Glad.

Be glad you have those you love now.
Pay close attention to your grandmas and grandpas * your family.
People can join the dance of clouds and sun unexpectedly.
    Call them. Write them.
Can we imagine what their years hold, or their thoughts long for?

Be glad for the youth around you.
They hold light and unexpected wonder
we can see and feel differently from their expression.

    Don't take life too seriously
make your path full of spirit
look those you love in the eye

    perhaps you can see beyond
    mutual history.

and if you are up late at night
    be still, listen
    count blessings
    and send prayers to
    those you love.

if you have nothing else to do,
you might write a letter to a favorite friend,

remember to treat your loved ones well
    no excuses.

Somedays all I need are my friends for a pick me up and some smiles.

I love my friends.  They are unconditional.

    A Meaningful Quote.

"If having things turn out the way you want them to is a measure of a successful life then some would say I was a failure.

The important thing is not to be bitter over life's disappointments.

Learn to let go of the past. And recognize that everyday won't be silence and when you find yourself lost in the darkness and despair, remember it's only in the black of night that you can see the stars and those stars lead you back home.

So don't be afraid to make mistakes, stumble, fall, cause most of the time the greatest rewards come from the things that scare you the most.

Maybe you'll get everything you wish for, maybe you'll get more than you could ever imagine.

Who knows where life will take you.

The road is long and in the end the journey is the destination."

    - One Tree Hill

Oh my, I can feel my creative juices start to flow!

    A friend is a treasure,

    Their being is might,

Like a lamp in the window

    In the darkness of night

    Of stature sincere

    Love is a warm light

    When friendship is near

    Angels Blossoms

Overwhelmed, we're greeted by God's springtime

messengers as daffodils rise from their winter

sleep, relieving our doubts with the promise

Our daffydillies are in full out bloom mode here in California.

They are happy trumpets of "hello" and daily smiles of welcoming grace at each sight.

    They cause smiling.   Especially.

About what sahalie wrote.  No one is promised tomorrow.  Ten years ago my uncle (who, btw is 3 months younger than I am) was fimally diagnosed with colon cancer.  I say finally because he would not have had to have chemotherapy if the doctor had taken him seriously two years before he was diagnosed.  He is alive and well today but during that awful time, we, as a family, starting ending our phone conversations with "I love you!" and meaning it.  Anytime we met, as we said goodbye we added I love you.

I am not always successful, but I try hard each day to say aloud what I am thinking - "I love that dress on you, your hair looks especially pretty today, you're so smart," and, of course, "I love you."  It is such a small thing and can mean so much to the other person.

Finally, patience is a virtue and all good things come to those who wait.  Unfortunately, my prayer is always "God, grant me patience and do it now!"

I love all you ladies.  I am so grateful for this website and so awed by your courage and faith.  Sleep peacefully and awake refreshed.

    Embrace change
Life brings new challenges every day, some joyful and others distressing.

The first step to overcoming change is to embrace it.

Start out by visualizing your current situation as another hill you need to climb up along the winding path of life.

You've made it this far, so why stop now? Keep in mind that change isn't necessarily for the worse; with each challenge brings personal growth and life lessons.

View change as an opportunity for growth and a chance to learn about yourself.

When you recognize and accept where you are and how you feel, you then have the ability to move forward.
