Olivia... I pray you slept all night!
Sandy.. that story... eekkk.. scary!!!!!

Good morning ladies! Well the good news is Olivia weighed yesterday and the 4 pounds she had lost in the hospital are re-gained now (yippee) she is a "whopping" 81 lbs now (LOL) only 9 more to go........
bad news is she was too nauseated to eat dinner last night. But she did get 2 Boosts and a sandwhich in her.
Also I just have to say "Thank You" again to all of your support! The messages here, the cards, and gifts from you all have blessed her more than you know. And of course it blesses me tremendously to see her so blessed......you get my point.
Anyway, someone from here sent her a BEAUTIFUL bracelet with her name on it and my chemo brain has forgotten who sent it. I dont want to embarrass anyone, I just want to say THANK YOU she ABSOLUTELY LOVES it!!! She has shown it to everyone she sees!!!!!!

Moody - Weight gain is good! I am so pleased to hear the good news. Now she just needs to be rid of that darn nausea! take care. - Jean

Prayers for Olivia! That pager idea such a good one! I will send her one for every prayer!
-
Hi All - Checking in on Olivia's progress. I check almost every day or so but not alot of time to correspond - just read. Glad to hear she is doing better and back to school. Olivia is in my prayers everyday.
-
Thanks everyone for continuing to pray for her. She is not doing any better since she came home. She IS better than she was in the hospital, but not feeling anybetter and eating/drinking very little. Enough to not be dehydrated, not enough to regain strength or weight. She just stays so sick feeling.
I have her a follow up appointment Mar 6th because that was the first available, but I am going to call tomorrow and beg to get in this week.
Just keep praying for her......
-
Oh Karen - That is so unfair!!!!!!!!!!! Prayers are continuing! - Jean
-
Karen,
I pray that you can get her in this week to see the doctor...something is still not right ....also pray for some answers soon!!!!! Love to you and Olivia
-
Gosh - sorry she has NOT continued to get better since she came home. It must be so frustrating and frightening. I sure hope you can get her in to the doc early this week.
-
I am sure they checked her for this. I still thought I would throw it out there.
I had these troubles about 10 yrs ago... lost a lot of weight do to anytime I ate , I felt nauseated. It was bad... I thought for sure I was going to need my gall bladder out.
Finally.. I go in... I had a bleeding ulcer. The small amounts of blood, that showed up no where, were making me this nauseated. It was bacterial.. so I was treated with an anti-biotic and ( back then) 1600 mg of Tagament(sp) for a year or so... fixed... no trouble since.
I am sorry Karen... this has to be so hard for you!...
Olivia... I am praying for you and I will not forget!
-
Karen, It is SO hard to watch when our children have something wrong!! I had a friend that was going thru a hard time comment on a title of a sermon "pot holes in the road of life" She said"these are no pot holes! Its a Grand Canyon!"....I will be praying for both of you. I have a friend at church that is a real prayer warrior...Do you mind if I ask her to pray and let her know what is going on?.....Janet
-
Estepp, yeah, the did endoscopy in hospital, plus her blood counts were normal.
She has done pretty good today until around 6:30 (seems to be the "magic" time) we were getting ready to start our church service and all of a sudden she got real pale and motioned for me to come down out of the choir (in front of about 500 people, but I didnt care). She was feeling horrible again so we came home........
Calling doc tomorrow and he best figure out a test to run cuz I'm headed down there anyway, might as well have something for me to do........
-
moody, i can't imagine how frustrated you must be. enough is enough. find out what is wrong with that child. my prayers for olivia are coming your way. hugs, maria i mean the docs, not you.

Moody,
A friend of mine in our community (70K people) could not figure out what was wrong so finally went to Mayo Clinic and within 30 minutes had a diagnosis. Just a thought. Praying for you
-
I know this must be driving you to the brink. I know how helpless you can feel when your baby is sick. Just go in there and don't let the Dr brush you off. DEMAND that they find help for Olivia. Something is causing this. Something is still not right. In my heart I know you will get to the bottom of this some how. Our family is still praying that Olivia will get better and you will find out what in the world is causing this.
-
Well, she has gotten more nauseous as the weekend has gone on. Called the dr office this morning and they said the only way to have her seen before her appoint Mar 6th was to go ahead and take her back to Scottish Rite ER. So I am leaving work about 12:30ish to go home and take her back down there. She was feeling to bad to go to school AGAIN today. She was up past 12:30 last night because she was so nauseated.............
-
Good luck with docs. I am praying for an answer and a plan to help heal Olivia.
Elaine
-
Oh my...... Olivia... I am so sorry.... this time they will find the answer...
Karen and family.... I will be praying for your family. This is just messy ....
Father, please give the doctors the answers to what is going on with Olivia, and then please allow her to begin the healing .. Amen.
-
Oh Karen I am SO VERY SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best wishes and warm hugs coming yuor way!
-
Sending positive energy your way........................
Not sure if this will help but I figure it is worth reading.

-
I'm so sorry this is continuing but I think you are doing the right thing by not waiting.
Praying for you and sweet Olivia,
Nancy
-
Karen - I'm glad you're taking Olivia back to the ER ... hoping and praying that they can quickly figure out what's going on with her and get her feeling better in no time flat ... poor Olivia needs some help with that nausea she's having - please let her know that your sisters here are still praying for her !!
Love and Hugs,
Doreen
