NEW ENGLAND STATES Get Together

I'm game too. I had a good time at the last get together!

Lilia, you are awesome for putting this together again!
I would love to go but it will depend on how I'm recovering from surgery -- I'm scheduled for a unilateral DIEP on March 25th. Anyone who has had DIEP reconstruction -- is it even remotely possible to think about sitting in a car for an hour and a half, about a week after getting home from the hospital? I know I won't be driving by then....

You girls want to do another? The 2nd New England States Get Together?
How's May? Right now I say May b/c March is almost here, than Lauren has her surgery (good luck), in April I go on vacation (no, not the entire month, I wish) so it leaves us May. What do you girls think?
Do you want me to organize another Get Together or someone does not mind taking the responsibility and find a place for all of us?
-
Hi there,
Just a quicky to say, you live in a beautiful place. Am Canadian, but been living in U.K for nearly 1/2 my life. I have spent many a summer in MAINE and Mass. I have great memories, especially of the Ocean and nature in Maine, just lovely. Something more for you to celebrate I guess. Brilliant place to live.
Have a great get together or get together(s)!
take care of you all.

Can a Jersey girl crash the party? Have some conections to NE: spent several summers working @ camps in Maine; taken several vacations in Maine, Vt, Mass and Conn, brother lives in Vermont, cousin lives in New Hampshire and family (at least part) is from Maine (Starboard and Machias, Machias Port, Engles Island).
Best wishes for quick and uneventful recovery, prayers to all in need.
Sweet dreams, Elaine

Shiny... my daughter is nagging the living bananas out of me... she asks for you to say HI to Skandar Keynes aka Edmund from Narnia...she loves him...! Okay proceeding... would love to have you aboard.
EWB: no... no NJ people... I KID U!!!!!!!!!!! LOL, I have been living in the US for the past almost 23 years, which 21 were in NJ!!!!! Am up here in MA... not for long, I hope, I hate the winters here!
This is an open invite to whom can make it... let's work on a date...(May?) and than place, okay?
-
I remember seeing you alls get together last year in Springfield and missing it. I live in MA. I went to Las Vegas in October and met 27 wonderful ladies from the chat room and would love to meet more, we all had a wonderful time in LV, it was like a big family get together.

How's Saturday May 16, 2009?
-
Naughtybynature,
SURE,if I bump into "Edmund" I shall definitely send best regards from your daughter, and perhaps blow him a kiss..
Oh, I wish I could come along, thanks for the invite! It's not on the cards though, I was recently back in Canada as my dad was very ill and it really took it's toll on my little boy with special needs and lots coming up for him so can't be off again. I hope one day I can return. I'd love to rent a beach house on the Maine coast with the family, sigh..I actually sometimes look for this on the net. Have a brilliant reunion. thanks again for your friendly invite!
sending my best.

Hi All,
Just stopping in after a long absence and wondering where/when the 2009 New England get together would be??
I couldn't make it last year but heard what a great time it was. I seem to recall it was near Worcester, MA last April?? Do you have a spot for this year yet??
Thanks for the update. I hope to attend and meet you all then.

Hi everyone!
I'd love to go again this year, but I'll be on vacation in Disney (with the youngest, NH's school vacation week is the week after MA's) the last week of April. April 26th till May 3rd (our flight is an evening flight). I hope you all have as much fun as I had last year!

Hi girls... I am open for suggestions on other dates, if May 3rd is not really good for EVERYONE.
-
-
may seems to be a busy for everyone, especially with memorial day at the end of the month-- how about going into early june?
-
June so far is good for me. Let me edit this first post to reflect possible June 2009.
-
Haven't met most of you but I too enjoyed Vegas. would love to meet all of you. June sounds like a possible. Any ideas where???? Mohegan Sun???
-
-
Mohegan Sun is VERY tempting but we would be eyeballing the machines instead of each other! LOL
Last year we had it in Springfield, MA; I am up for Hartford, CT if anyone is interested.
PS: Shiny: my daughter loved your message! I hope your dad is doing much better. Sorry for not mentioning it before, bad me!
-
Just want to say hello to my New England friends. I enjoyed meeting you last year, but I'm not sure if I can make the trip this year. I'll check in every once in awhile to see how the plans are shaping up.
Anybody coming to NY? Give a holler!
-
Hello people, I live in CT and would love to do a meet up. June sounds like a great idea, so does Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods. Or we could meet in my cracker box of a house which is full of paperwork, laundry, dust and toys...now doesn't THAT sound appealing? No? Oh well, I'm up for anything, the 76 truck stop, the diner, oooh Pepe's Pizza (haven't been in years) I'd like to do this though. Anyone have ILC, an oncotype dx score of 11, pre-menopausal, 1 lymph node positive, and doing taxotere and cytoxan in 4 cycles over 12 weeks (TC x 4)..... I didn't think so, oh well LOL
-
Hi everyone! Either May or June would work for me as far as I know. I have recon surgery a week from today (YIKES!) but I should be mobile by then.
Lauren :-)
-
Hi,
Would love to try to come meet all of you. I will keep checking in on the Date and location.
Early June is good.
-
-
Pegk-What's in NY? Also, what's up with this Vegas trip I hear dribs and drabs about. Still interested in a meet and greet in MA, CT or wherever. I'm drinking red wine tonight... so health, statistics and chemo be damned!

I'm still up for a get-together in May or June. Today I'm three weeks out from DIEP surgery, recovery is going well, I think I'm going to drive myself to the supermarket today, hooray! If anyone is willing to start planning, send me a PM and I'd be happy to help contact people or whatever.

June sounds good to me. Let me know when a date is decided upon!
