Estepp, be angry.  Be severely pissed off.  It is perfectly normal, fine, and expected.  I dont even know Diane and I am angry, sad, scared for her.  One thing you guys have taught me is you mess with one survivor, you messed with thousands.  There is power in numbers!

Others reading here, please go to the thread Diane/Estepps friend and send love to her.

P.S. the difference between you and your wig and me and my wig is you are still beautiful.  I just look like a woman with a wig.....

Well last night really sucked (pardon the language)  she started getting nauseated around 6:30pm.  She wasnt able to eat her dinner till about 8:30pm and by 10:00pm I had to give her Ativan as the Zofran hadn't taken the nausea away.  She woke me up at 12:30am because she was STILL nauseated!!!!!

I have her another appt for Mar 6th cuz it was the first available!!!!!  UUGGHH  She is still eating/drinking, but not more than about 500+/- cals a day.........

these things happen EVERY YEAR this time... watch...

    Well.. he never wins...

Olivia.. I am sorry you have to feel like this... not fair.  I would be involving the biggest children's hospital you can.. ( if you haven't)... I am sorry Karen and Karen hubby too...  How sad.. and frustrating... Go Get them Karen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lord, we trust you... our wish is Olivia gets her healing soon, so she does not suffer anymore!

2new1s- hope recovery is quick and uneventful

Laura- you look lovely, do this on your own terms- wig, no wig, scarves, natural, natural with tatoos, stickers or drawings, hats, whatever! Who cares what other people think. Go for it.

I pray that Diane finds peace and strength thru all this.

Hugs and Prayers to all in need tonight.

My church has a really cool ministry called "Prayer Pager".  It is where people who have a chronic illness such as cancer are given a pager.  You call the pager number and you will hear a short message w/instructions.  The pager beeps  to let the person know that someone is praying for them.  You don't put in your phone number, it will instruct you to enter 111# and that is what is actually sent to the pager.

It is an incredible ministry.  They gave me one when I was dx'd last year and it gave me sooo much comfort as it would go off throughout the day letting me know that others were praying.  I didn't know who, but I knew someone was.

Tonight they gave me one for Olivia.  Her # is 770-388-6901 so if you have free long distance or cell phone, you can call it to let her know someone is lifting her up in prayer or just thinking of her.

Tonight we were talking on the way home from church and she was sharing with me how discouraged she is starting to feel and yet how much she is fighting feeling that way.  She said she felt like the song by Casting Crowns called "Who Am I" and the chorus says "I am a flower, quickly fading, here today and gone tomorrow"  she said she feels like that flower and that she is withering away.  It broke my heart, but I didn't cry!  (big surprise)

Anyway, I assured her that she was doing really good and reminded her that she is able to eat and drink even if not a whole lot.  I told her that she would be completely healed but it would just take a little more time than we thought.  I think it helped her feel better.  She acted her normal self afterwards.

Thanks again for all the love, prayers and concern!

Tears are flowing for Olivia.  I don't want her to feel this way.  Writing down the number and will be calling.  WOW  the song "Who Am I"  I have that CD.  I read the words (I can't carry a tune) to my ladies bible study because it touch me so that I wanted to share it with them.  Awesome song!!    Many prayers are going out for Olivia all over this country....What a wonderful concept the Prayer Pager.

Her # is in my speed dial now....I think and pray for Olivia and you thru out the day.  It's a nice touch to let her know in a physical way that she is being prayed over!  Thanks for sharing.

    {{Hugs}}  - Gretchen

May God bless the Moody household and hold Olivia close and continue to heal her.  Amen

Karen, your role as guiding light is going to continue, until safe arrival thru the entire storm.

It's so wonderful that she feels safe to share her concerns, frustrations and doubts..... as you've already seen, once she can give voice to them -- she's able to bounce back to her typical personality.

Prayers to continue for the road ahead. Be strong, mama bear, be strong. You can do this. We will hold you up, when you forget.

Take good care of yourself in the midst of it all.

"Still You , hear me when I'm calling, Lord You catch me when I'm falling, and You tell me who I am, I am Yours!"  This is the 2nd part of the chorus and I reminded Olivia of this last night at bedtime.  She said "I know mom".  She said she knows God is hearing the prayers, and she knows He is answering them, she just doesnt understand what it taking so long for her to be back to normal.

She is one smart little lady!!!!  I do treasure mine and her relationship.  I pray we can stay close through the upcoming teen years..............Undecided

When Karen/Moody 1st told us about fearing what may happen to her daughter it brought back memories when we almost thought we were going to loose our Kelsey. I had asked Karen if it was ok that I shared her story as I also wanted to make sure Olivia doesn't read all of this because the last thing I want to do is have her fear this may happen to her. The summer of 2005 when Kelsey turned 12 she had her 1st cycle/period but she didn't get another one for several months. That fall when she was back in school she got it again and it was even so heavy she had to call me to pick her up to get clean cloths because it had got on her pants. In November when she got her period she asked to stay home I said fine. Later that day she made a comment how she was flowing really heavy and even having large clots come out. Kelsey shared she was having to change things every 30 minutes for the last several hours. I called help nurse to make sure it was ok to let this go. They told me to bring her to the emergency room. I think we got there about 10pm. They had us take her to a room in the emergency area. The nurses did a good job watching her until the midnight shift. The new nurse won't come in to see how things were going. They just left us in that room and said wait it out and see if things would slow down, which it didn't. About 5 am Kelsey got up to use the restroom again. This time she started screaming because she thought she was going to pass out. She had locked the door and we couldn't get to her, the key they had won't work. Finally after a few minutes she was able to drag herself to the door and open it (hard lessen learned never lock the door if your not feeling well, I still don't understand why they have locks on in the 1st place). Than they finally called the OB doctor. He was shocked to find out we had been there for 7 hours and they didn't call him. They tried several hormone drugs to stop things. Finally about 10 am things about stopped so they left us come home about 2:00. Sorry to say after we got home things picked back up. I called the hospital and the doctor said give it a few hours and see how it goes. You can imagine in the meantime I called the local doctor and was googling things like crazy, calling help nurse to make sure they agree we were doing the right thing. I talked to the doctor again at 8:00 and he said no need to bring her up to just give her more of the same meds they gave her in the hospital. So I called our local pharmacy and he opened up so I won't have to spend over an hour driving to one that was open. Later that night I told Kelsey to make sure she woke us up if it got heavy again. I was going to go to work the next day but changed my mind when I woke up. So I got up and called in and went downstairs to check on Kelsey. I could tell she got up twice to change things and never told us. She got up and went to the bathroom and than the scariest thing happened. She yelled for me than her eyes just stared off into space and she won't respond to me. At that moment I thought I was losing my little girl. I screamed for Rick and we took her back to the hospital. I think she finally started to talk on the 20 minute drive (should have been 30 minutes). The doctor took one look at her palms and saw how white they were and ordered blood for her. She ended up needing 2 blood transfusions. This time I made sure we stayed plenty long and made sure things were stable before we came home which took a couple of days. This is a rare thing that can happen to some girls. None of the test showed and weird blood things to explain it. She actually had to take the depo shot every 3 months to keep her period to stay away. We had a few scares after that when she would try to be active so she gave up playing basketball. Last summer she stopped taking the shot and happy to say everything has been ok so far.

My SIL just became a grandma a couple days ago to a little girl (was supposed to be a boy....someone forgot to tell her  LOL), anyway I just found out her name is Olivia also.  I think of your daughter now everytime I see these new baby photos.

Nothing is more precious than our children!
