Hugs Slonedeb. It's a glorious day here today. Cold but sunny and I feel so fortunate to have been able to go for a long walk with my dogus in a field where there is peace and quiet and all kinds of animal tracks. I just enjoyed the moment. I hope and pray you all have a moment like I did today.

Hello Deb pray you are pain free today. I have bone and nerve pain from the abraxane. No fun. I am still losing weight. Not much interest in eating or drinking. I try but not doing so good at it. I am so thankful we have such a wonderful group of prayer warriors here. I am feeling more like I am not going to last long. I am trying to hold tight to my faith. Because miracles do happen. I am wasting away my daughter says. She has never seen me this small. I am still not a string bean but I can see how I look. I had pics taken with grands last summer and I am not that same person. Sorry Deb for my pity party. I want to lwant to let you know I am so glad you are my friend and all the sloane rangers. We are a great bunch aren't we? Have a blessed day . Lets ride the storm.
-
Dear bug........gentle hugs. I'm sorry things are like this for you and pray for a good change.
-
Dear kbug and deb, a long time ago I wrote a post on loosing weight in cancer but I think I deleted it as I thought the better of it. Kbug you might ask your docs about megestrol acetate (Megace®). Here is a link to some written comments about it:
http://www.ufscc.ufl.edu/Patient/content.aspx?section=ufscc&id=23155
Never worry about pity parties, which really are telling about ourselves as we see it. Someone out there might connect and have an idea, and most importantly, it's good to have a forum where reality reigns and you say it like it is.
I hope Deb's absense here is not long, and that she and you, kbug and all sisters feel support and know we're praying hard for you.
((Hugs))

Kbug. I posted above ...... before I read this page.
I'm so sorry to hear of your feelings, but so VERY VERY grateful that you have a place here where you feel comfortable to share them. We are here for you in the reality that you are experiencing -- not the Cinderella story that we wish for.
We are here for you, holding your hand, encouraging, asking for miracles. Praying for miracles. Asking for healing. Asking for wellness in the journey.
We are here for you, Kbug & Slonedeb. We are here for you.

Kbug, so sorry you aren't feeling well. I pray for you every night and every time I think of you throughout the day. I'm so sorry it has gotten this hard. I remember how hard it was for me during chemo, and I know it's more of a struggle than that was. Please look to Jesus and ride out your storm. I don't understand the role of suffering in this life, but I know we can't give up and we have to keep our eyes on Jesus. Know that you have sisters here that care about you and continually lift you up in prayer. (((gentle hugs)))
Slonedeb, thinking of you also and hoping to hear from you soon.
-
Kbug, so sorry you are going through such a hard time right now. We are still keeping you and our Deb in our prayers. I think of you both often.
Much love sent your way and very gentle hugs.

How How sad I am to read of pain, suffering, and fear among the Slone Rangers.
God of all hope, as I begin this new day I rest myself in you. Whatever might happen during this day is in your hands. Strengthen me in my weakness, give skill to those who minister to me, and grant me confidence and faith in your healing power. In Christ I pray. Amen.
~~~BLESSINGS~~~
So uplifting for me to read all of the posts. I hope someone might be reading them to you, Deb. We miss you greatly. As Faithandfifty says, we're praying for you and hope this gives you strength on a daily basis. I pray you are not in great pain, that your breathing is not labored, that your anxiety is not high. I pray that you might still enjoy food and drink, and the people who surround you. I pray that your oncologist keeps you on her mind, assisting you in every humanly way possible.
I am trying Sloane Rangers and Deb. It is so hard to want to eat. I did lil better today only got sick a few times. I miss feeling well so much. But we have hope which is what we all need to hang onto. We had rain here today which we needed and now lightening in the distance. Deb pray you had a good day. I so want you to have many good days. Have a blessed nite all.
Prayers and hugs.
SloneDeb & Kbug. We continue our prayers on your behalf..... that the treatment that you are receiving would work wonders on your cellular battle.
Kbug, I know that you are doing all that you can to get some food to sustain you thru this. Do you have anyone there to help you? I was so concerned when I read that it tires you to get up & use the microwave...... is there anyone that you feel comfortable asking to stop thru?
Know that we are praying for your relief in the midst of the battle. Know that we care about your suffering. Know that we are here for you: offering encouragement with our words.... sending you hugs whenever we think of you thru the day.
