    I'm in for the 22nd - where?  Mira Mesa has Mimi's and Panera and Buca de Beppo... I'm sure more, but I can't remember.  Love Olive Garden and haven't been to one in soooo long.  

    Guitar Girl - if you are going, do you want to ride together?  I'm happy to drive.

    LisaSDCA-Shrinkage of any kind is good.

    I like Olive Garden. I have only been there a couple of times so I am not sure about the salads. We know CA Pizza Kitchen has good salads.

    Salads are great at Olive Garden---hey Brenda---another house prob coming up on my street--right across from me---a 2 bR on the golf course---wife just passed away and I think the one next door to me(one level to the right is or will ) cause the lady is in a nursing home....can you come to my house at 11:30 on 2/22?

    Olive Garden on the 22nd at noon is good for me. I've never eaten at one of these, though I know they're all over the place.

    SoCal-That's the one. When you get off on the Carmel Mountain Rd exit go east and it is on the right side just after the freeway. I think there is a Baskin Robbins and a Carl's Jr. in the same parking lot.

    Do we need a head count for a reservation? Do they even take reservations? I've never been, so I don't know if it's a reservation kinda place...

    I hope it's okay to bring my friend, Sooze, visiting from Idaho. She hasn't had BC, but she was my primary caregiver in the two weeks following my DIEP, and she's sure giving me some caring now. That qualifies, right? Kiss

    I do not think we would need reservations---but I'll call and ask them to give us a seperate area and make it for about 10 people..

    Lisas - if it's any consolation, there's been one thread where there were 4 Susan's.

    Right now I'm in Florida really really really wishing I could join you guys tomorrow. I've been spending my time cleaning out my mom's apartment and taking way more home than I should. My car is beginning to resemble an Okie's during the dust bowl except I haven't lashed anything to the top yet. My science friends tell me to throw out the stuff or I'll spend more on gas than it would take to replace. There's a Goodwill not far from where I am, so I just might do that.

    Then starting Monday I do battle with Medicaid. When I get that old, will one of you just shoot me & put me out of my misery??

    Susan-Glad you made it safely to Flordia. I had my first consult for the study. There were a million questions to answer and you have to suck on cotton 5 times a day for 2 days after that. Since I am in the control group I only have to go to UCSD 2 times. That's not bad. I can handle that. I get to have my healing sessions in Encinitas at the end of the study.

    Hi Ladies,

    I so wish I could join you all.  We are in the middle of yet another snow storm here in Michigan.  I long for the long walks on the beach finding sand dollars.  If any of you go to Mission Beach, watch for the sand dollars wherever you see them surfing and at low tide.  I found that if you find one, there are generally more.  Unfortunately they are so fragile that the waves and runners break most of them up.  I brought back with me over 150 of varying sizes.  Nothing large like you find in Florida.

    Lisa, have been praying for you.  Have they tried giving you Zometa?  I have a dear friend with mets and it has been helping her lung and bone mets.  Have you considered going to MD Anderson for a consult?  Just a thought.  Damned CA!  Try to stay as positive as you can and keep laughter in your house.  Lots of us will keep praying and we all know how much prayer works.

     I expect to be back in SD for a month next January so will see all of you then.

    You ladies are so great. I really had fun with you today. Now I am watching the Red Carpet and seeing some of the actors we were talking about. Anthony Hopkins just walked up before the commercial. His hair is so thin and white now.

    Lisa#4-It was great to meet you. Please join us anytime you want to make the drive. Sometimes we go farther north.

    Sylvia-Thanks for the ride. As usual it was a wonderful time of chatting.

    Lisa#3-I will be thinking about you and praying for a safe trip and successful surgery.

    Good to hear you all had such a wonderful time.  Any chance can you provide names?  I now recognize a few of you from the last lunch.  It is nice to have a face to go with your posts.

    Sand dollars are basically round and sea urchins.  You can google them.  If you haven't searched for any, give it a try.  They also have a beautiful prayer that goes with them.

    Enjoy your warmth.  It might make it up to the high 30's here in Michigan on Wednesday.  Heat wave!

    Hey, my son and his family are walking in the City of Hope in SD.  I'm so proud of them.  Even the 1 year old in the stroller.
