OOOOOO Fried okra!!!!! yum yum!
-
I tried the nostimulus site. It is offline. Hopefully it is being so blasted that they cannot keep up!
-
That Stephen Fowler thing was so outrageous!!
What was interesting is that the Southern family was willing to make adjustments when they saw the benefit. They listened and learned. The dang liberal jerk would not even curb his MOUTH when dealing with Gayla. It's sad they are stuck on their ideas as "right" and "better" and would not even learn that kids need a little down time and sometimes it really is ok to ride a go-cart!
-
On the topic of your health:
My doctor did an a TV interview recently. She got me on the road to healthy eating so maybe y'all will heed some of her advice:

That Stephen Fowler guy needs to go back to England where he came from. Although I did agree with his wife that Americans have to clean up their diets, though she is a bit obsessive. Like me!
-
Vivre won't fry okra, but she will break down and fry up a batch of green tomatoes..even if she does, mess it up with olive oil.
Rocket, after reading all about the RV business from you, I recognize your expertise...So now is the time for you to get a great deal on a big trade in pusher motor home, quit you job, rent out your house, and start a home business..(one that is on wheels) and travel the country...Home school your little darling and spend the next few years totally together..and make a goal to park in the yard of every BC org lady on the boards. You can do a business of repo and estate appraisal of RV's. Even establish a Used RV on line brokerage business. Add an online buying service for New RV's...For fee you will negotiate for buyers with Dealers for the best deal on the best product.
-
Been trying the nostimulus all day - one of their leadership was on this morning on Fox. As soon as I tried the message on screen was that due to overwhelming traffic the site was down!!! Yeah! I believe he said they had about 600,000 as of Saturday (with no advertisement) and they were estimating over 900,000 by today perhaps. Bet they are beyond that now!
-
Rock, I have a lot of space in my yard to park that RV! Hit the road girl! And then we can head over to Elkhardt and talk to the OBOTS. LOL
-
Mr. Spouse - OH! Thaaaaaaaaat Okra! lol Yuck! - JMO - I'll stick with my fresh garlic, organic spinach, kale, carrot and apple juicers (yes - juiced aaaaaaaaaall together) !
You're all welcome to swing by - I'd be happy to whip one up for you!
Rock - You know...I have a six acre forest here - dense enough to hide from the IRS!
-
Laura, you almost lost me with the 'juiced together" but when you used that obvious Yankee term "You're all" instead of the correct form of perfect english "Ya'll" I am afraid You and Your very caring husband are destined to a life of cold weather goat racing. The sunshine of the south, is not meant for Ya'll
-
Hey, I have a juicer. Bring it on. IBC makes a wonderful bloody mary but not with that okra stuff. 2 olives and a huge celery..and lunch is served or is that breakfast..?
Thanks for writing Collins Pat and Sherri, she's going to know we don't like her compromise. That smug....ah nevermind this thing is going to pass so why get upset. Fait complit, or is that a dessert?
-
I am sorry, I left out horseraddish on my bloody mary, sorry, That is a piclked okra pod. The best place to enjoy a bloody mary such as this is have it served at sunset while on a riverboat traveling up and down the Mississippi River out of New Orleans. After the fourth one, you might eat the okra.
-
Hey Laura, Heard any good redneck jokes lately?
-
So THAT is why Shokk was going of the dem deep end! She DIDN'T have her liquor. Now that she does, she is back to her boring repug self, eating meat and killing vegetables, protesting abortions, wanting less government, and keep her own money.
We need to start the "Shokk must have liqour" fund to make sure this never happens again!
-
Moody,
You get my vote on the Month's Best Looking Avitar.
-
C'mon y'all, if you insist on speaking French, at least get it right:
C'est fait accompli.
Do I have to come down there and worsh yer mouth out with soap?
-
Vivre, do not encourage Laura to do redneck jokes, you are only one generation away from going to family reunions to meet boys or remodeling your home by changing the wheels on it and adding another broken appliance to your yard art.
-
No IBC, I am two generations away!
-
Mr. Spouse - Ya know...I must disagree... us cold weather Goat racers... well lemme just tell ya... us Yankees... warm up to the sunshine of the south real QUICK! Bring it on Mr.! lol And btw...y'all was highlighted as a TYPO on aol... proves I have always been an over achiever! Keep in mind - we have hell and high water as far as weather is concerned...so...we are very adaptable!
Sherri - If Rock parks down by the river near your cabin... maybe she can pick me up on the way... sounds like a great retreat! Hey... ya'll ever seen the Saturday Night Live skit (Chris Farley)... Down by the River? Too freakin' funny!
Moody - Nice avatar! Soooooooooo glad Olivia is on the upswing! Wonderful...
vivre - LOL So funny you would mention the term REDNECK - OMG... dh and I watched the movie Trailer Park Boys... OMG - It is really funny! (Disclaimer: I have nothing against trailer parks...my dear elderly friend has a lovely one along side...the river. Wonderful view!)
-----------------------------------------
Given the current state of the economy... many professionals who have been laid off are wondering if they should start their own businesses. Should we start a business...
1-800-ALCOHOL - we could all send shokk a bottle or two!
-
I've gotta catch up with you chatty women AND ONE MAN. I'm at least three pages behind. Darn, ya'll been busy!
They're voting now. I'm glad I have a trash can right by my desk!
Shirley
-
Vivre,
Can you imagine me living in France for 7 months is a place where no one spoke english? It was the longest 7 months of my life. The shopkeepers got to know me, so we'd talk gibberish and yet understood each other...except the time...well always know you french word for pig so you don't accidently call someone that. Not good.
Specter was on the Hannity radio show. Giving his excuse for voting for this plan. He gave his word and he's honorable to keep it no matter what. He likes the infrastructure repair in the plan and that's what he's voting for. He would rather see a better bill, but doesn't think that can happen, so he'll vote for this one.
-
HAGAN, the democratic senator from N. C. just voted "AYE."!!!!! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!
Hagan beat Elizabeth Dole in the Senate race. Stupid woman (Hagan)! Not that it makes any difference since we had three defectors (possibly more..who knows). But I know I won't vote for her OR any dem! That's what Obama meant by uniting this country. His first major bill and he screws up. He screws up a lot. Hell, I could work for him and get a clearance..I PAY MY TAXES! What burns me up is the PEOPLE do not want this bill, but what do they care!
Now I need to go back four pages and finish reading Paulette's article on how to get rid of Pelosi.
-
Stupid Specter, on the floor the other day, say something like it's with heartburn that I did whatever he did..negotiated with the 15 dems or however many were in that room huddled. And they call this bipartisan.
-
Reid is smiling!
-
Well...I have to say that Shirley put us back on track... we must stay on track of the topic at hand... we strayed... but had fun... at least I DID! But yes... it's time to stay ON TOPIC... excuse me, while I head to our basement bar to make a Bloody Mary. And I will not post again until I have an intelligent political view or a comment relating to a political view, or a view I heard or saw relating to a political view... it's all about POLITICAL VIEWS! lol
-
-
Laura, no need to wait til you have an educated view. We've been told that since we watch FOX news we are comparable to uneducated, trailer trash, rednecks. So, go git yerself a drink, probably a beer in a can marked, "Beer" cuz it's cheaper ... and set a spell. We can all vomit after the vote passes!
I just wish they'd explain how paying for STD's is keeping or creating jobs.
Seems like Pelosi
threw in everything she ever had on her Xmas list and shoved it down their throats. That's not bipartisan.
-
spouse I just gotta stop living in the past. I am a "has been" I'm like Elizabeth Taylor, or Faye Dunaway, so caught up in how I use to be that I dont see what I have become. Ho, hum....
-
I second that e- motion!
