Karen; been busy doing things for a change, and hope your surgery goes well. I also hope you can make it to cookie exchange. Just coming and no cookie making is fine just to have you there would be awesome.
Just to let you my sisters know that I have sent out the newsletter for February. Hope all is going well and Karen is right it is rather quiet on this thread. Hmm have to do something about that....
Like:
1.What is your favorite color?
2. Why?
3. Do you wear it or use it in your decorating?
-
1. Purple
2. Because it is a royal color and it makes me feel good
3. Wear & used some in my bedroom

I hope everyone is doing well. It was nice getting together with the girls it was a intimate gathering. The cookies were good. We missed those who could not come and understand what it is your going through, for one of us have. Remember we are here. Have a great weekend!
Blessing; Elizabeth

Yes, it was nice getting together and meeting a few new friends. Thanks to Jill for sharing her house.

Hi guys,
How is everyone doing? Good I hope.
Sorry to miss the get together. I've been down and finally went into ER on Thursday night, Turns out my Nuelasta shot didn't boost my WBC so I was at about 1200 when I should have been at least 7000-8000. So now I'm sitting in the hospital trying to boost the WBC's. I'm feeling better but not 100% so hopefully the new shots I'm taking will kick in. It seems like this round (third) has hit me the hardest. I can only hope that the next three won't be as bad. I was informed that I will need to have Radiation done after my Chemo which I had previously been told I would not need Radiation so that has really been a blow to me emotionally wise but I know I will get through it. Thank you all for listening and I hope you have a great weekend. Amira

Hi all, Sorry to miss you all at the last get together. I had my lapband surgery and am doing very well. The swelling and pain is gone. I am anxious to get some weight off so I can have my reconstruction surgery.......
This morning when I put my shoes on, I felt a pain on my big toenail. I checked it out only to find the entire nail lifting up off my toe....very strange, as I finished chemo the end of Sept. I will call onco dr on Mon, but I will bet its from the chemo. It looks perfectly normal. All my nails have deep ridges in them and seem flaky...but I checked them all and the big toe is the only loose one.....does it ever end.
Amira, hang in there. Take advantage of the hospital stay and rest up. Sooooo sorry to hear you will now have to endure radiation. The setbacks can really get to us....I will keep you in prayer
Hope everyone is doing well, and I will see you in March
Hugs Karen

Sorry I missed the cookie exchange - I'll bet they were delicious!
Karen - Good for you, having the lapband! Hope you're healing well and get the results you want.
I'm looking forward to going to the Botanical Garden in March!
Hugs to all, Sue

Just popping in to say hello and check on how everyone is doing...Elizabeth, hope you're feeling okay and hanging in there. Sorry to miss the cookie exchange, had to travel out of town for one of my organization's trade shows.
Just got back from the orthopaedist who is recommending carpal tunnel surgery in both hands. Geez. Not looking forward to that. But I AM looking forward to going to Canada on the 27th to visit with my daughter and my soon-to-be-born new grandson! I'm very excited.
Warm wishes to all, Teena

Amira: so sorry to hear that you are having to go through so much at this time. I know it is not easy. I hope you got the rest you needed at the hospital. Sometimes that is not easy to do when they are checking on you constantly. Take care, vent anytime we are here for you.
Karen: Good for you! I do hope all goes well. I look forward to seeing you in March. You will do it. We have confidence in you and you will have some great foobs. (grin) I have lost my eyebrows and eyelashes again. Very upseting to me. My nails are splitting in the middle of the nail bed. I keep glueing them, cause it well be painful if they break off from that part. I am hoping they grow past that and then the old part will fall off. I stoped chemo in January. I hope I do not start losing my hair. I just got it all back.
Sue: We did miss not seeing you there. It was a nice visit. I do look forward to seeing you in March. We might be able to carpool. Let's think about it. I hope things are going well with you. I am getting my energy back slowly.
Well hope to chat will everyone soon. We are a blessed group and it is nice to be able to have fun. Looking forward to June. Laughlin here we come!

Hello Everyone;
Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Looking forward to seeing everyone in March.
Melody; I am sorry to hear you will not be attending March's event. Though I understand and truly hope that you enjoy your time with your sister. Family is nice to have around for awhile. LOL Yeah it is no fine losing things, lost two of my nails now working on a third one. Very depressing for me. I really like my nails. They are what I call my luxury of life, especially since they are my real nails.

Elizabeth - There was an article in the paper this weekend about Thursdays in the Garden. It sounds fun, and I've heard such good things from people who have seen the Chihully exhibit. Maybe we can car pool Thursday.
I had Herceptin a week ago then had a DEXA and a colonoscopy last week, so I'm looking forward to a medical-treatment/test free week!
Have a great week, everybody.
