Odalys-My dh and kids would love to come again. $$$ is the only thing holding us back. Well that at dh having enough vacation days to use. I am still trying to figure out how we can do it.
-
Madison honey...those are hills...not mountains!
If you fly into Ithaca I can pick you up and show you the gorges!!
I'm gonna take you to see some mountains!!!
Miss you and can't wait to see you again.
BMD...hope you can make it.
So excited about meeting all the new girls!
-
OK ladies, if you want I can try the Cuba hotel...for group rates... last year the others wouldn't help out.. they have Casino visitors and don't need to discount...
Pink tie dye shirts sounds great...and signing too..
Val... tell terri I can't get enough of the lemonade drinks...lol.. and is it appropriate to wear the scarf skiing..?..lol
Madison... these are just little hills... maybe DH can come too this year...
ok.. watching grand daughter today, she's alittle under the weather and with all the crud at school its better she's here...
take care all.. BTW the first PINKSTOCK was started Feb. 14, 2007.. snow storm and no one was at work but me...lol...
BMD hoping you can make it too.. the boys were wondering if they needed to get more cars ready...lol
take care all, and hope to see you all soon...and the snow melts before Aug

This is soooooooo exciting. Lisa - I so hope you and Mel can make it. You too Bren.
MB - hahahaha - wear the scarf anywhere you want! (;>), especially after some "lemonade"

I really, really want to be there...it's an easy drive for me. I will work on Mel for sure!
-
Not sure many of you knew her:
DAWN ZAROWNY OF BARRHEAD,ALBERTA HAS LOST HER BATTLE TODAY FEB6/09 AT 5:23 AM..
-
Lefty I didn't know her but makes me angry that this disease took another sister. I hate cancer!!!!!
-
Here is a thought...anyone interested in learning "salsa dancing" at the next pinkstock? I think it would go great with our care free "woodstock" attitude, and a few drinks. I can teach y'all some salsa dancing sexy moves. It will be so much fun. I have some good CD's from the salsa queen "Celia Cruz" and some other famous salsa bands and could put together a CD for us. It's also a great way to exercise our stress away. MB is this OK with you and your family? I don't want to offend anyone with the music. What do you say?
-
Odalys....if MB says ok...I for one WOULD LOVE to learn!!! That sounds like a blast! Maybe by then I will have someone special in my life to share it with...lol.
-
I live in Rochester, NY and would love to attend! I like the bra decorating idea. The salsa dancing and drinks sound like a blast. I will be a hotel dweller also.
-
Salsa dancing!!! MB will only let me do that if I promise to stay on the ground!! Sounds like load of fun though.
I am seeking embellishments for the bra project...thats going to be so much fun!
I will get the tie dye color and the fabric markers so be sure to bring a tshirt!
We should all wear our embellished bra's over the tshirts for a group picture!
Have lots of ideas for easy...non messy...kids crafts. Good thing I have a van now...gonna need it to haul all the stuff to MB.
MB...may need a camper...not sure I can take the tenting idea...happy to share with anyone who wants a camper partner.
Hugs all
-

Oh Vickie you scared me there for a moment until I read the bra goes over the t-shirt.
I can see us shaking our shoulders with our sexy bras. Yippeee!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I am all for salsa dancing WITH the bras on... group photo.. wooo hooo !!!!!
-
I read more about the Artful Bras and they begin with a 38 padded, under wire bra. Apparently the padding helps keep the shape. The color is not important, as it gets mostly of entirely covered over.
Do any of you have a button box ? I saw one with buttons and bows and thought that was a neat idea for using - "recycling" ...things that are sitting around taking up space. I am thinking of one BIG button in the center, gradually getting smaller and smaller towards the edges.
-
OK, what did I miss?? A bra project??? Please explain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Valerie
-
Buffalo may be doable for me. Would love to see everyone in person. Perhaps I could bring my own camper? brenda
-
VAl you got to go back and check out the link...OMG they are great...
Bre.. I have lots of room, for extra campers.. honest... we will put you third blue tube row back...lol... I won't have power out in the camper area or water hook ups, but will have a porta potty , and showers etc available in my house...
ok this sat will be the third anniversary of what I called a hair brained idea... and as we know our Deb, was the first on board...lol.. never thought someone from Alaska would come to little Ischua.. actually never thought anyone would come...but SOOOOO glad you all have made the trip....
the Girls & I are working on nice braided leather head bands... with peace beads of course... we will be a sight for the group picture...lol..
hugs to all.. stay safe and up hill from all my melting snow...

happy valentines day.. and the third anniversary of my hair brained idea... this year the weather was nice.. 2007 was a snow day here, but I had to work.. so enjoy and take care...MB
-
Happy Valentines and Anniversary MB. Miss you.
-
Happy Monday. I was cleaning out some dresser drawers and came upon a couple of swim suits... the idea of doing something like the bra project hit me... I am just throwing this out in case there is anyone out there with a LOT more creativity than I have...
-
I picked up some cool embellishments for the bra project...I also have tons of beads I can bring. DD has a huge box of buttons...IF she will part with them LOL.
Watch you local thrift store for old jewelry as embellishments!
I'm going to make one using fabric glue/hot glue/etc and see what works best.
Will need lots of rubber bands for the tie dying project...I have the fabric pens and the dye.
Sooo excited!
-
I am going to modify my bra plan to include a swim suit. Sew up the bottom, put in some moss, plant a pretty vine and embellish with smily sun, flower appliques, etc. Some stores that sell costume jewelry have a "broken" box and you can ask to raid it for embellishments. Tell them it is a project for cancer survivors.
-
Still on the confused couch - I am arts & crafts and sewing challenged- are we making the bras at home or at Pinkstock?? Either way, I'll need help.
Valerie
-
Hello Ladies----I know you're planning a bra project, but wasn't it around Woodstock, when everyone was burning their bras ?????? Oh well-----I'm looking forward to it----bra or no bra !!!!! I'll be there with my Love Beads on
-
I'll too need help with the bra project, not sure I understand the concept? Are we having a bra burning bash by the camp fire?
-
Go to this website to get an idea of what some of us are going to TRY to do. "embellish" is the key word. I suggested we wear them OVER tshirts or tank tops and take lots of photos.
-
Barb.. glad to see you are back from vacation.. should I have my friend make some sausages for DH?...
The bra's I believe are to wear on the outside of our clothes, you can make them woodstockish..or what ever you like, check out the web site they are great...lol
its snowing again so winter is back.. but summer will be here soon enough.. got to make some lists...
MB the nut on the hill

We're still going to try to make it this year! I didn't get that week of vacation so I'll have to try to get those days off when I bid my August schedule in July. Avery loves to dance so any style of dancing is good for us. Anyone for Disco???
-
ok...made a quick run into Joanne Fabrics today and found lots of clearance embellishments...for a quarter apiece!!! Now that's my kind of deal. Here is a pic of what I have gathered so far minus ribbon, yarn and beads...
Going to try to "embellish" a bra later and see if the glue holds up or if we need something stronger or more permanent
