Hi Liz -
I have my box nearly done - hopefully will get to the post office over the weekend.
Amy
-
Liz and Madison - Would there be a problem if I embellish my squares with buttons, beads, or any other type of girly "bling"?
-
Laura, I am out of your squares. You can send some my way.
Odalys, as long as we can wash and dry the squares it should be okay. We do wash and dry each afghan before it is mailed.
Hugs to all, Madison
-
madison,
i just finished a square that has a wavy pattern--can you attach this square to the others if it is not straight across the top and bottom but rather a wave?
ellie
-
Can you test the square by running a double crochet around the square? We have a few patterns that are not even at the top or bottom. We can usually use them when they are bordered in the black yarn.......as long as the square can be stretched.
Madison

Thanks Madison.
-
Madison and Liz...a big thank you for taking over this special project and keeping it going.
To all involved...you are the best.
Wish I could have continued to be part of such a heartwarming thing...I have a few leftover squares without borders that I will send to Madison or Liz as soon as I can.
Keep up the good work ladies...
Love and hugs
Goodbye and all the best to all of you

madison,
do i border all my squares in black yarn before i send them off to you?
ellie
xoxo

Ellie,
We always put a double crochet border around each square before Liz and I stitch the squares together when making the afghans. You don't have to put a border on your squares before you send them. If you would like to border them, please do as this will be a help to us, but it is not required that you put a border on them before sending them to us.....
Hugs, Madison

Madison and Liz - A box for each of you is on the way.
Purple - I can send you some in a few days.
Thanks!

Wow Laura...you're like a speed demon crocheter. LOL!!!! I better get to work on some more. Have a great weekend everybody.
Hugs, Jackie

By the way, Laura, I love your picture. Are you the one who is involved with personalization mall? I order from there all the time because someone on this website owns it. If you are, the stuff and the service are great.
Hugs, Jackie

Thanks everyone for your hard work.
I'm up early on a Saturday (5 a.m.) so I can work on an afghan. Our church is having a special anniversary celebration/blessing this afternoon for couples married 25, 30, 35, 40, etc. years. DH and I will be attending the mass as a 35 year married couple. It doesn't seem like it has been 35 years since we said "I Do".
-
Hey Madison - CONGRATS! Wishing you many, many more years together! Hugs to the two of you!
-
I am starting an afghan today and hope to have it ready to mail by Monday. We shall see.
Way to go Madison.... tell DH hi from me.
Thanks everyone!
Hugs

Happy Anniversary Madison & DH! So wonderful to hear that. Best wishes for many, many returns of the day!

Madison,
Congrats!! You can't be married 35 years - you don't look a day older then 20!
Hope your day was grand!
Valerie
-
Madison,
Congratulations!!! What a wonderful accomplishment. I was just married 25 years and hope to make it to 50, at least!!!!
I'm so excited!!! I went to visit my sister-in-law yesterday in Long Island, NY and someone she works with gave her a giant shopping bag full of wool and she gave it to me for the afghan project!!! I'll be busy until the spring. Lots of pretty purples too. Sorry, no blacks.
Laura, hope all went well with your visit. Each visit is so nerve racking. My sister has just been diagnosed and is in the process of testing, et cetera. It brings back so many bad memories and my heart just breaks for her.
Thanks again to everyone.
Hugs, Jackie
-
Where do we send the squares again?? Or if someone wants yarn I have that too if you want..... I have a couple squares made but want to get even more made..Thanks..Lucy
Happy Anniversary madison!

Ladies,
This has been a long time in coming but I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this wonderful gift that you give.
I, myself, have been a recipient and I must tell you I will cherish my afghan forever. Every time I wrap it around me I think of all of you and smile.I thanked you all when I received it and I thank you again.
I have asked several times to include friends & acquaintances to the list of recipients and have never been turned down. Even though some of these people haven't acknowledged the gift you give personally I just want ALL of you to know that I appreciate what you do more then words can say.
Thank you.
Valerie

So happy you like it! Enjoy it knowing you're thought of by many girls here!

Hello,
I finished an afghan yesterday. I took a picture but forgot to turn on the overhead lights and the photos are dark. I'll retake pics tonight before I get the afghan in the mail.
Hollyann, Liz and I are putting afghans together. MB has been doing some bordering for us. Please pop on the board when you are ready to mail squares and we'll be able to direct you as to where the squares need to be mailed.
Jackie, what an awesome gift to receive so much yarn.
Hollyann, this is great--you also have yarn to share.
*********If anyone needs yard, please let Jackie or Hollyann know****
Jackie and Hollyann, I'll be happy to pay postage to mail the yarn.
Indeed, if anyone needs funds to mail squares, etc., please send me a PM and I'll send some funds to you.
Hugs and thanks, Madison
-
I'll be more than happy to mail anyone yarn. Thanks for the offer, Madison, but I'll pay the postage. Please let me know if anyone needs anythings. Hugs to all of you, Jackie
