Moody/Karens daughter Olivia

Moody,
I have been watching this thread and praying that you would find a simple solution to a simple problem. As you may know, my daughter was dx with a very aggressive cancer when she was 14. She went through hell. Five collapsed lungs, lung removal surgery, many horrid chemos, bone marrow transplant and hundreds of tests and scans. I understand how helpless you are feeling right now. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can say to ease what you and your dd are enduring. My advice is to learn everything you can about her condition and be her advocate. Do not leave her alone. Do not allow anything to be done unless it is fully explained to you. Do not burden her with all the details that she doesn't need to know 'right now'. Be as pleasant as you can be so when you unearth the demons to get something done, they will take you seriously and not put you in the whiney parent category. Know that you will have to make hard decisions quickly and try not to second guess them. You are doing the best you can.
There are many praying for all of you right now. Consider what you have been through as a school so that you can maneuver the medical community better for your dd.
Take Care (and a deep breath too)

2new1s - hey she actually has Olivia in the largest children's hospital in GA. Unfortunately is a not for profit hospital and they may be slower to do things because they exist because of donations and not billings to insurance companies. At least this is my understanding...maybe I am really off base. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

OH!!! Karen I just want to grab you and tell you that everything is going to be OK but since I can't be there hopefully this will do (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((hug))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I know it is easy for us to say this, we are not in your shoes, but dear sister, keep the faith. I know you feel helpless and want to scream. I know I would be feeling the same way, but GOD is right there with you and he knows all and we have to believe that things will work out in his plan and that plan, I believe, is that Olivia is going to get better and you will be taking her home with you real soon. We will never understand why we go through such heartache but it is for our good. GOD is GOOD.
Wish WE ALL could be there with YOU.
I will be praying every hour on the hour for God to send the right doctor to you and for Olivia to start improving TODAY.....
In Christ Love

My heart hurts so much for you Karen. When are they going to get the feeding tube in her..

I don't post much, so you might not recognize my name, but I want you to know that there's another person praying for you and Olivia. A lot. I will continue to do so.

Karen, I am saying many prayers for Olivia and your family. It is so hard to see our children suffer. Prayers are going up for the medical team that is treating sweet Olivia for wisdom. I live just south of Atlanta and would be happy to come and be with you if you need another Mother Tiger.

Karen, I have been thinking about you and Olivia since last night. I shared your story with my daughter Olivia and showed her your precious little girls pictures. Olivia was so saddened to hear about her and what she is going through. Can't they feed her through tubes? That confuses me. Omg...I am so sorry!! I feel so bad for all of you. As a mom...that is such a helpless feeling..to not be able to fix it.
I am praying that God shows the way to the doctors. Please Lord guide them so they can attend to every need that Olivia has at this time.
Constant thoughts and prayers for you

Karen I am praying for your daughter. When I was 11 I had an extended hospital stay for spine surgery and I know that it is hard on our little folk not knowing what is going on, not to mention hard on the parents.

Esteep and Laura, I will be joining your prayer at 10:30 central time (11:30 eastern).
Karen, I feel so helpless so I can only imagine what you are feeling. Of course you are mad at God, who wouldn't be? That doesn't mean you don't trust in Him. We all know your unfailing faith, you show it in ever post you make. We know you are being strong in front of Olivia, but you don't have to do that with us. We feel and share in your pain and suffering as you watch your daughter become weaker. Still keeping up the prayers that her doctors will be guided in the right direction to heal Olivia.
Please take care of you also. Hugs, Marsha

Karen,
My family is praying for Olivia and will continue to pray. We are asking everyone we know to pray also.

OH!!!!!! The picture of Olivia is heartbreaking.....My heart already broken but now in a thousand pieces.....I will use this picture of Olivia by placing my hand on it during our 10:30 central prayer time.
The message you received from Hanna gives hope.
Time to pray........

Praying for your precious child right now. I pray that she feels the comfort of the Lord surrounding her. I pray that the doctors will have the knowledge to treat Olivia and help her be well.
Prayers for Moody and her family. Know that you are being lifted up by many all over the country. We will pray you through this sister.
Hugs and Prayers,
Lexi

I will be praying with all of those on the west coast at 9:30 a.m.
"For God is not a God of tumult, but of peace, as in all the assemblies of the saints."
1 CORIN. 14:33
God is not the author of confusion or disorder.....He will sort all of this out....so much information coming your way....it will all be pieced together soon....

The Lord has heard our prayers! Hallelujah!
Here is a beautiful Psalm
"I waited patiently for the Lord. He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of destruction, out of the sticky mud. He stood me on a rock and made my feet steady. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many people will see this and worship Him. Then they will trust the Lord...Lord my God, you have done many miracles. Your plans for us are many. If I tried to tell them all, there would be too many to count."
After seeing Olivia's picture... this Psalm came to me.
Karen.. the Lord has heard every one of us... last nights prayer vigil, and ours this morning... and every single one from you and your whole clan there...
Praise God! His will be done.
Not a one of us will stop lifting you all up in prayer until we turn that prayer into one of pure thanksgiving...
-
oh Karen my heart broke to see that

Prayers and hugs to your family,
